Kenshi was a human warrior tricked into freeing souls so that Shang Tsung could absorb them. Ermac was created by Shao Kahn from the souls of dead outerworld warriors. So they can't be the same person. And scorpion will definately be back, after all, he is one of the most popular characters, and Boon's favorite.

I am a fan of the "out with the old and in with the new". I really would like to see characters like Drahmin, Mavado, Scorpion, return to the new game. I am getting extrememly tired of seeing Kano, Jax, Sonya, and SubZero lol. Scorpion is the poster child for MK so he can stay. lol

All classic kombatants should return, I mean... the ones who are not dead (All except Liu)... MK is old school!!!! That is, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Sonya, Cage, Kano... I don't like them all... I would be happy if Scorpion ad Kano are gone but... As I said... MK is old school!!!!
Also, Kung Lao is a must have as a new main champion.
Sareena is a must have!!! Such a cool character!!

But my all time favorites are Sonya, Scorpion, Cage, Jax and Kai!! :) Yes, they are a must have.
But I couldn't have an MK game without Scorpion, I mean Scorpion! That's for sure

Exactly. Mk wouldnt be the same with out the Mk1 originals. Also the Mk2 characters are important.

I just read an idea that said Kano and Sonya could Tag team to defeat the Red dragon. That could be really interesting (Irine4), and in the end, just like the Deadly Alliance, they will betray each other OR actually join forces.

Another was to have Sonyas dead partner (the one Kano killed) come back (somehow) and join the Black Dragon. Sonya will have to decide what to do. (Crows/Ureikos idea)

I think those are pretty cool ideas.

I dont think they should have Lui Kang. To be honest he pisses me off royaly.

I wouldn't complain to see Sonya, and the Special Forces fighting the black dragon. Besides it's her job! lol and we're tempted to think so because in konquest mode (MK:DA) they said that Sonya's deadliest enemy was, actually, Mavado. Not even Kano...EDIT: I wanted to say the Special Forces fighting the RED Dragon... not the black dragon!!

Yeah, I also like the story of rivality Sonya and Kano have, but if the Red Dragon takes over the Black Dragon, then maybe, (asuming Kano is still alive) an interesting story could come there.

I'm guessing we'll be seeing these guys in the next game:

-Reptile (d'uh--he's coming back for sure.....)
-Scorpion (he's too popular to get rid of, like it or not, guys. I like him, but wouldn't miss him too much.)
-Sub-Zero (Though I think if I were doing it, I'd put Frost in the next game and have Sub-Zero recovering from an assassination attempt.... then bring him back in 7.)
-Sonya (I doubt they'll ever get rid of her... plus, we need her to sex up the line up!)
-Raiden (I forsee Raiden telling the heroes what to do, again.....)
-Johnny Cage (They changed his storyline with MK: DA to say that he never died, and it was all a bad movie plot. So why go to that much effort only to drop him, again?)
-Kung Lao (Liu Kang version 2.0)
-Jax (He's black. I hate to say it, but that's what'll bring him back. I'm not racist, but let's face it--they need a black guy, and he's a proven one.)

That's not neccessarily who I WANT back, but it's a list I'm almost 100% confident of. But, only time will tell.

Fujin- Never got to lead the earth warriors. A new bad guy perhaos?
Nightwolf- Hell, if he could block Kahn from taking his land he has got to be powerful. The earth warriors could use him

Sonya- Original Sexy MK woman rivals with Mavado and Kano( Unfortunatly wherever Sonya is Jax is)
Kenshi- He looked cool
Nitara- Great potential in her storyline
Scorpion and sub-zero(Most popular. It ain't Mk without em)

Shao Kahn/Reiko(Need to know what the hell happened with his SL.
