If we could perform fatalities on the boss(es), I'd be happy with that. Otherwise, the Dragon King's corpse should erupt with fire, and his soul should appear above the corpse, scream, then be sent into a hellish abyss, surrounded by Oni who'll torture him for all eternity.

I like your idea and BAV's idea of doing a fatality on the DK.

I got something to add to this thread, if they include fmv endings, what should the DK's be after he's beaten?

this is in FMV. You would see The Dragon King roaring with green blood pouring out of his eyes mouth and ears, his body would tremble and the walls in the area where you fought him would explode revealing the outworld's sky. The Dragon King would then have an aura around him and the sky would begin to fade to a lightish blue. Then before the darkness vanishes the Dragon King would explode leaving the original Reptile's body unconcious covered in blood and the outworld would be turned into a normal realm again. After that it would say congratulations you have unlocked REPTILE!! and then you would see your characters ending.

I like the Reptile theory. That works best in my opinion.

Make him explode in powerful beams of light and then turn him into a giant dragon spirit till he fades away in smoke and fire.

I think that it would be possible to be dead of 2 forms.

First, he would be but or less just as the one than he has put Jerrod.

Second, it would be that it did not die when defeating it, but that began to be killed and to degenerate its body, but was able to restrain its death, and you had to fight against the DK last round, but without our bar of life to the 100% as if you began new round, but just as against the Deadly Alliance.

The idea of Grizzle is preety good... but it has a 1 failure... Reptile isn't the Dragon King.

the dragon king dies a very long and tiresome death. then, its spirit goes into the logo of mortal kombat and it says, prepare for the next generation of kombatants...

i really wish they move to the next generation of mortal kombat... too much has already happened in this generation... for crying out loud! the first three parts were fine in the storyline but it was such a great coincidence that shinnok had to return soon after the three considering that he was trapped for centuries. (what a perfect time to appear) and now the dragon king, what a perfect time to be ressurected... besides, how old are the characters anyway? too old if you ask me...

The Dragon King was an ancient ruler of Outworld before Shao Kahn's rise to power.He had formed the greatest army that realm had ever known. An army so powerful that it had never lost a battle. In an attempt to gain immortality and rule Outworld forever, The Dragon King commanded his holy men to hatch the last known Great Dragon egg.Legends told that drinking the blood of a newborn dragon would bring eternal life only if the dragon was slain moments after hatching. Unfortunately, the Dragon King died prematurely. His holy men loyally continued to incubate the egg with the intent of eventually reviving the dead king with the dragon blood.His army allowed themselves to be ritualistically slain and were buried in the pyramid along with their sovereign to be resurrected as well some time in the future. Generations of the Dragon King's holy men have been incubating the egg in secret ever since. As the prophecy has been told through the ages... "Upon the birth of the last Great Dragon will the Dragon King return."

Without considering that not yet knows of the certain one if they called "Dragon King" so that it was a dragon, or so that its power was so that it controlled the dragons of the Outworld; neither the soul/spirit were in the egg that was opened in the Lava Shrine.

I'd say have him start bleeding out of every poor in his body, and he slowly falls to the ground. As he does his body starts to decay, and turns into dust. Also, you should be able to do fatalitys on bosses.

i like ur idea, but if he has to die or he isnt reptile id like to see his brain coming out of his nose.

I like Grizzle`s response the best so far.

My ideas :

If he defeats you, he spits a gob of acid melting you or spews out fire for an easy toasty. Bosses should have their own fatalities.

If you win,
Dragon King turns into a dragon which you have to defeat, like Motarro. (I know some will hate this idea)

After defeat, he pukes a pool of acid on the ground. A portal hole is created with light spewing out.

He reverts to his human-like form and falls to his knees before the puddle/portal and whips one last shot of acid at you which hits the screen, obscuring your view (as if in your eyes). Acid fades away and the DK is gone. A creature is seen flying in the background leaving you to wonder whether it flew away or if he jumped in the portal.

During the final acid shot, you can actually dodge it and nail the DK with a projectile, or jump in the hole yourself. (This could be a secret, sort of, pretty easy to discover)

This would mean you have 3 ending options. Regular, DK escapes ending, alternate character ending (which is how you unlock an extra costume).
