What will the game be ranked out of 10?

MK: Deadly Alliance got between 8.0 and 9.0 from most of its reviews on the net or on mags...
do you think MK: Deception will get over 9.0?
the highest ive seen for a fighting game was 10/10 which was for Soul Calibur on Dreamcast... but Soul Calibur 2 on GC, XBOX, PS2 got between 8.5 and 9.6...
Do you think Deception can beet this?
What do you reckon MK:Deception will be rated out of 10?
I recon 9.5/10

Definately a bit higher than 9. Perhaps 9.5. Everything we've heard so far is excellent, hell, i wouldnt be surpised if it got a 10.

yeh i know its way too early, but from the trailers, i can say it looks really impressive, i hope it really impresses every1 when we actually play it too...
some1 said it will get something between 7.5 and 8.something.... i dont think it will get lower than 8.5 at all...
the worst it can get is a 8.5 i reckon

I agree 100%. And normally I would think this is pointless question, but from what I've seen on the game so far I do think it has the potential to be a 10/10. However, I really really hope that Team MK is focusing just as much on the gameplay element of MK:De as they are on mini-games. I love the mini-games, but I will be purchasing the game for some high-quality fighting time. Not for Tetris.

8.9-9.5
around 7-8 because of all the extras.
I don't think the game play is not going to be over the top outstanding, but if it was, then a 9.

I can only hope.

yeh well i know its a real pointless question at this stage where we've only seen a few screenshots and 1 video, but i was just asking about what ppl think it will get in the future from what theyve seen so far...
by the way when is E3? im sure we'll see heaps of the game then!~

It depends if midway produces a solid story and great eye candy. If they can pull this off, with the online play it deserves a 10.

Yeah, I agree it’s too early to determine a ranking based on what we’ve seen, but I hope it gets 10/10 if not 11+. I’m not saying that because it’s MK and I’m obsessed, I’m saying it because if that’s what the game scores then we’ll all be playing the best fighter ever released and at the end of the day that's what we all want. grin

It honestly depends on who's ranking the game. Didn't one of the EGM reviewers give MK:DA something like a 6.5? I think it was 8, 8.5, 6.5, but I'm not positive about that. My prediction:

PSM: 9
EGM: 8, 8, 8.5
Gamepro 4.5, 5, 4.5, 5 (if they still use their old five point scale)
OPM: 4 discs
IGN.com: 9.1
Videogames.com: 8.8

So basically I think it'll hover in that 9 range. Some magazines and sites seem to really like the series (PSM, Gamepro, IGN) and some not so much (EGM, OPM, Videogames.com). It's tough to tell.

I do know that for MK to up its rank in the eyes of EGM, the gameplay will have to improve. They hold all fighters next to VF4 and SC2.

I think they are a little too critical, but I would like to see MKD with deeper gameplay.

why cant they just be honest with their opinions?

I'm calling on it to be between a 9.2 - 9.7 as my guess... i don't think it'll hit a 10, but it's gonna be pretty damn close.

i tink it will reach 9.8 mayb ten, lets face it all the mk's were better than tekken n stuff, n mk;da was a brilliant game, cept for the lack of fatalities and if it has more fatalities n characters then it will pass mk;da in rank.

IM SOO HAPPY CANT WAIT.

Well, I can pretty much say even now that it's not going to get scores like those here in Sweden. Noone likes MK here, pretty much. Then again, I'd be very surprised if the game would deserve such high ratings, based on gameplay at least...

MK2 Got a 10/10 (at least in one of the dutch magezines).

But for MKD, as they keep up the good stuff as we are seeing so far i think it will rank somewhere around 9.5/10. (maybe a 10/10).

As long as it lets the the other fighting game companys know whos boss and whos at the top i'm not bothered.

I'm sick of seeing more rehash jobs like Streetfighter and SNK, there's only so many times a shinku hadoken can look different.
