Well I don't mind threads like this actually.... Just was trying to get a point across lol. But yeah say Liu Kang and Kitana's story ends as them surviving and getting married and it be 100% canon.... Then MK8 comes around doesn't mean Liu and Kitana would be in it just cuz they survived through MKA. Cuz really most likely MK8 story will take place years, possibly thousands, or even hundred of thousands year later from where MKA ends. Or say Liu Kang and Kitana survive and get married and all, then MK8 takes place maybe 20-50 years later, they could simply say that yeah they did get married and all, but were then killed or some thing, but they had a son/daughter and now their off spring is fighting in the MK tournament in search of revenge on the killer of his/her parents..... Anyways my point is is that Liu Kang's and Kitana's story could end in MKA, but neither die nor neither apart of MK8 as far as playable characters go.
Anyways I still say Smoke has best chance of living at the end of MKA if only one of them were to survive. Why? Cuz what could really happen to him? He has Noob Saibot on his side. He is in the Neatherealm. Maybe not functioning 100% correctly, but still a live. Look at Cyrax and Sektor.... I love Sektor (my 4th overall fav MK character.), but he may end up blowing himself up. Maybe some thing like he finds Cyrax, and blows himself up while blowing up Cyrax with him or some thing.

Cyrax: he is my one favourite character , survives from "final battle" with sektor.
Sektor : Killed by cyrax in " final" battle.
Smoke: I don ́t care dies he or not.

Without a doubt Sektor.
He is the least human of the cyborgs, his story opens up possibilities, and if I were a programmer and could pick only one to satisfy the fans, it makes sense to have the least human cyborg.
Besides he is the one cyborg with his "own" agenda.

Smoke is as good as dead. This tragic character deserves a tragic, yet honorable, death. There is no point in keeping him alive. It would simply ruin his character. 80% chance of death.
Cyrax is probably a survivor. Unless he gets a new interesting storyline (Maybe he'll side with Sektor), he should either be killed off in a showdown with Sektor or have his character retired. But I don't see why Cyrax should die. I'm leaning more towards retirement though, assuming his story isn't revamped. 20% chance of death.
Sektor certainly has the most potential, but is also a big threat. If anything happens to him, I think he'll be "deactivated" for a while, but one day make his return. Still, like I said, he is a big threat, thus a major reason for him to be killed. 30% chance of death, 40% of simply being deactivated.

Calm down fanboy....Anyways yea sektor has the best storyline and the best chance of survival. Hes a souless insane robot ninja bent on world domination. How can you not want this war hes planning to come to fruition?

sektor: im sad to say i think he will die he is my favorite but he has a massive army and he is in shit with the special forces so he will probably be overtaken by them and killed either by cyrax or will be sent some where to die. but hopefully he will be brought back by some one.
cyrax: he has the most chance of living. he is in on the good side and the good side always wins and that sucks. cyrax is and will probably live unless this is a really harsh game where all the good people die ( un-exepected ).
but also on the other hand i dont think they would kill of sektor beeing as this is his 1st showing in the new line of gaming he will probably be casted away into the shadows.

Sektor should be discarded like the trash he is. Unoriginal and boring. I would prefer Cyrax for his nonconformist design and potential.

I have to agree. After MKA, there will be no modern technology, it will all be ruins, so no cyborg can survive. I think they will all die as well. However, I will miss Sektor and Cyrax. Smoke, he was better off human, so I don't care about him.

Smoke used to be one of my fav characters of all time but now hes turned into abit of a goon.
Sektor is a great character and I think hes gonna have a big part in the next game. Ive never been keen on cyrax..I dont know why. It could be when I was a little kid and called him a bogey because of his colour...I know hes yellow now but he had a funny colour in the old games and somehow its just stuck with me..lol i know its lame.. I think for the next gen they want characters that are going to compliment the graphics and I think sektor would look freaking amazing next gen. I can see smoke will cause some problems, basically because smoke effects always cause slowdown thats only if they want him really smokey.

Smoke was not in MK1,Smoke wasnt in MK4 either,or MKDA,or MKTE.

Back when trilogy came out i hated cyborg Smoke and loved human Smoke. still do to this day, but i liked Sektor better than Cyrax back then too and thats changed. i hereby think its because he was introduced first of all the cyborgs in this gen systems and because of it i like him way more now than Sektor. i hope Smoke dies because even tho he was like my fav ninja they've screwed up his story and he needs to be scrapped. i hope Sektor dies rather than Cyrax, but honestly i hope they both live. If i had to choose one to die it would be Sektor. OH YEAH and i like Cyrax's armor better to which is always a reason to root for him

nah it will probably go down with Sektor falling in love with Johnny Cage. So of course when Cage rejects him, Sektor slits his wrists and dies while listening to Dashboard Confessional and wearing a wedding dress. Thats the only thing I can possibly see Sektor doing in MKA.

You know one thing here that I think people are forgetting about Cyrax(the users who have him dead) is that he's now in the Special Forces meaning military upgrades to his armor anyone?Yes, exactly..
Sektor might have the missles, but Cyrax has his bombs which who knows might be more powerful/advanced now with military upgrades, the Net that can also be advanced.Look at MK:A the movie.If the net can be set to anything like that, say capture or Death then Sektor is in trouble.
Sektor has the badass industrial look, but Cyrax has the modern badass military look with a good posibility of upgrades.
And NO!! Cyrax doesn't look like Robocop!

I can see Smoke and Cyrax fighting Sektor, Smoke gets killed by in the process he kills Sektor, Cyrax survives but damaged.He gets repaired for MK 8.
