Irene, take a look at it this way. We dont need him back for the next couple of games.

Shang tsung has been boss twice
Quan chi has been boss twice(debatable)
Shao Khan has been boss twice(in general)

all these characters have had their chance, now it time especially for khan to gracefully step aside.

I think there should be a huge place for shao khan in mk6 storywise, what his doing and his struggles. But thats it.

I agree, I don't want him as a boss... but he would make a really cool playable character! His green star attack would look awsome in the new consoles, anh he has one nasty mallet!!!!

I want Shao Kahn back, but not as a boss. You're right, let's give the Dragon King a chance, but Shao Kahn could have a lot of potential in the MK6 storyline, especially if he is really linked to Reiko somehow. Maybe they should just bring back Reiko to fill in the blanks about his MKG ending.

I know those are some updates of Mk3, but still. He could be back I guess, but as a normal playable character, not strong like before, but normal. But please, not as the boss again.

I definately wouldn't consider Quan Chi a boss in MK4, because you didn't fight him at the end, you fought Shinnok.

Anyway, I say Kahn should sit out for MK6, maybe return in 7 or 8 as a hidden or playable character, but not as a boss, and not way bigger and more powerful than the other characters.

Thank you Queve. Thats the point. If Kahn returns, everyone is going to get sick of him. And when he returned in MK3, it was almost the same story for mk2.

Thats why Kahn should retire IMO.

OMG if one more person says Kahn made an apperance in MKDA I will... nevermind. Sub Zero, Scropion, Sonya, Kano, Goro, Kitana, Quan Chi, Shang, etc are all used quite a bit. Does not mean we should get all new characters. I am not saying Kahn should be the boss (I think he should be hidden) but I want him in the game.

Well so far only him and MK1 Shang Tsung were the only cool bosses, Shinnok and the Deadly Alliance sucked major ass. I would like to see him back as either a hidden character or as a regular character.

Kahn is one of the greatest bosses in any video game ever. The only person I can think of that is close to him is Bison from Street Fighter. Kahn is one of the most well known, and he is the best boss that Mortal Kombat had. Personally I wouldn't mind if he was a boss, but I would rather him be a playable character. The Dragon King can be the boss and Kahn can be playable.

I definitely don't want him as a boss. I do like the character, but the only way I would want him to return is if he is a weaker, playable character, and if he has pants. No exceptions.

Kahn was the boss in MKII, MK3, UMK3, and MKT. I think we've seen enough of him.. as a boss.

If he comes back as a playable character then he has to look different. (I liked his helmet though.)

I agree with Temp. I would love to see him again as a playable charater but he would have to be in a different costume. He just looked too much like an extra from a gay dominatrix movie. He should have the upper body stuff but have like armor or something like that.

Over half this series was a fight against Kahn stealing souls. He's overused. He's dead. Keep it that way.

The reason why he was in MK3, UMK3, and MKT was because all three games had pretty much the same story! They weren't going to change the boss to someone else if it has the same story!

Shao Kahn is easily the most badass 'boss' in MK. bring him the fuck back.
