I'd like for Sonya and Raiden to return.

Raiden must be in the game, but unfortunately the confirmations are not 100% and until there is an image of the thunder god poor Kidd will need to keep looking. It just wouldn't be like a true Mortal Kombat game without Raiden.

The one character that is not returning (so far as we know) and I am really upset about is Sonya. Although I can see where she needs to stay behind to rebuild HQ and being a general now, she could be stuck behind a desk unless total war breaks out.

Kung Lao and Johnny Cage I would like to return, but I'm not too upset about it.

Kano, I hope we never see him again or at least without some major improvements.

I held Johnny Cage in high regard before the release of MK:DA and when I saw his storyline yet gain I had grew tired of him. I would not care if I see Johnny Cage return in MK: Deception or not. If Johnny Cage would actually develop and change then I would have second thoughts on him returning. The new character Ben reminds me of Johnny Cage, mabey Johnny Cage is linked to that character in some sort of way?

Kano is a great character and was held as one of my favorites since I started playing Mortal Kombat. I have a feeling that Mavado's ending happened and we might not see Kano in future Mortal Kombats. If Kano survived MK:DA which I hope he did I think that Kano could make everyone believe he is dead once again so that he could return to Earthrealm which he had not seen since the first Mortal Kombat. I hear that there is a new female character that is tied with the Black Dragon, perhaps she could be associated with Kano?

Cyrax should return in MK: Deception because I feel that he had developed into a fine character. Cyrax had regained some parts of his brain and is now in control of himself. Cyrax does not have to take orders anymore and he does not rely on artificial intelligence. If Smoke and Sektor are returning, I think it would be great for Cyrax to start a feud with the Tekunin and the Special Forces. Smoke seems a potential ally for Cyrax because they are both in the same position and I feel that they would connect better than any other character in Mortal Kombat besides Sub-Zero. Cyrax could also encounter Sub-Zero again but this time they would be allies but on different parties. Cyrax could help battle with the Red Dragon and the Tekunin on a feud between the Lin Kuei along with the Special Forces.

There is no doubt in my mind that Raiden will appear in MK: Deception in some sort of form. I think that Raiden will be an unlockable character just like in the Krypt from MK:DA. Raiden is a central part of this story judging from his ending in MK:DA and I hope he fights along with the Earth Warriors.

I think that Sonya could return in MK: Deception as a support charcter for the rest of the Special Forces characters. Sonya could be a hidden character that you unlock after you beat the game with all the characters that work for the Special Forces. Sonya will definatley be included in this game in the storyline, I am not sure that she will be included as a playable character.
Liu Kang is returning so I believe there is a high possibility for Kung Lao to return also. If my theory on Liu Kang's allegiance is correct then Kung Lao might be in MK: Deception to fight the evil Liu Kang. Kung Lao could possibly be a hidden character or mabey even a general character. I just hope that in the next update of information we get on this game, Kung Lao would be mentioned

Well, it’s obvious what are the 2 characters people are most talking about now.

Sonya and Rayden are a must in this game. A must. What’s Mk without the original female of the series? The only true chick that can actually kick ass??

And our beloved God??? Our TRUE god (lol, jk) Rayden is another force that the game needs.

Although I’m VERY VERY HAPPY with the character roster (Sindel, Mileena, Tanya, Li Mei, Ermac, Kabal, Baraka ) I would really love to see:

1o Sonya
2o Rayden and Johnny Cage!

Johnny Cage has lots of potential, no matter how much you hate him, he has some of the best styles, most awesome fatalities, and amazing special moves. And although is hatefan base is large, his fan base is larger.

Trust me, we have not seen the last of Johnny cage yet, there is potential in him, and if the team just did something to change his story .he could really be in the top again!

But then again, I guess its ok for them to take a brake, but one thing is clear, the game series must end with the original fighters of Mk, the ones that made this game be so popular and so perfect!

In most people's eyes, its Sub-Zero and Scorpion who are a must in MK. I agree with you on Cage's fighting styles but not fatalities. His story sucks. Let him take a break from MK.

Torso Rip in Mk2 and Mk4 is awesome.

In mk1 his uppercut was the start of many other clone fatalities but still, kicked ass.

In mkt that weird fatality was cool.

He rocks!

to roster: wouldn ́t it be cool to have a roster where the different realms are devided?? so you can see all characters depending on their realm and choose from. does anyone remember "x-men vs. street fighter", the arcade version?? at the player select screen you had a picture with the x-men on one side and the street fighters on the other, and it was drwan like a poster. THAT was really cool stuff, not like to overused and silly "picture of a face" roster.

why does everybody LIKE KITANA, she is worse then jax and i would seriously play with mocap and stryker before i ever play with her(lol i didnt mean that play with her) again.

She is the worse fighter in MK history that is an actual fighter(which means not includind mokap, but he still has better moves then her) i HATE her ass and hope she dies and becomes a zombie like liu kang and then they can marry and fucking leave the premisis.

well actually fuck kung lao, we have Lui Kang. The original in da fucking house and he gonna be wayyy better then kung Lao. Kitana sucks ass but we have Mileena her CLONE, who was a way better fighter then kitana and i actually like mileena unlike kitana. and we have her mother Sindel who is also better and she has some cool screams in this game.
we still have scorpion and subzero who are a must and also we have another must in the game named smoke. we have a shokan who is better then kintoro which a shokan in the game is a must.

and we have the greatest of all time in the game KABAL!!!!! not to mention we have the greatest fanbase in the game and thats the ninjas.

and yes rAiden is in the game so relax. you arent pissed that raiden IS in the game, you are pissed cause Raiden IS IN the game and DIES in the intro by quan chi 1v1 LOL. that Quan chi is a fucking badass and can kick anybodys ass in MK history. YES, i am pissed that Quan chi isnt in the game because him, subzero, and kabal are the greatest of all time. now another must in this game is a black dragon,a special forces,shokan,lin kieu,ninjas,and cyborgs and we got all of those.
we have the NOW best cyborg in history in the game(who was actually the least best cyborg) SEKTOR. smoke is no longer cyborg so we got smoke revamped once again and cyrax is stuck in outworld so he will be mentioned maybe hidden, or in the jailcell level but he is stupid as hell without his green net so he sucks ass and dont care about him.

and of course An old man that looks like MK1 shang tsung, SHUGINKO, a true thug who you can give him kitanas moves you kitana cry babys, or you can be cool like ME, and give him Quan chi's fighting styles to make him the best konquest fighter and best fighter of all time in MK:D.

Cyrax and Raiden I wouldnt mind seeing, but the rest of the characters are too boring now. Johnny Cage should just be put to rest, i always hated him the m***** f*****, and the rest have always bored me to be honest. Apart from Sonya, but they made her look really ugly in Deadly Alliance, even if she is fun to play as.

I liked Cage in Deadly Alliance. I never liked him befor that but in DA he was one of my favorites. His story is horrible and doesn't tie into the MK universe at all but if they revamped his story he could hav a lot of potential. Sonya and Raiden should deffinately be involved in Deception in some way. I want Shao Kahn to make a return in some way or another it waould be an interesting secondary plot to see him return.

I agree with everyone else, Sonya and Rayden must be part of deception.

here is a good idea: I realised that everyone is missing at least two chars. So just make a game and put sujinko your fav char ability and make another game after where you will be able to put sujinkothe abilities and stuff of your other chars.

As for me, I am going to miss kung lao. People say liu kang is there so we don't need kung lao, but what if liu is not there. And for myself I always liked kung lao because of his deadly hat that can cut anybody's head.

And what about Johnny Cage... I want the mk team to use queve story and make him look not misterious, but angry... I want him to look ripped appart and angry (he is dead and now thinking he should not have been, he lost something to the hands of a murderer). (visualise) If you don't like this, remember there are alternate costumes. Although Johnny Cage is one of my favorite characters I wouldn't mind giving him a break. Just make him make a come back with a revamped story (along with the one of stryker because I didn't dislike his way of kombat).

Sonya's an integral part of the story, I agree. I only got a slight feeling that her style (not in kombat) cannot apply to deception's kind of story(keep in mind I don't know what the story is).

For the most part, I am delighted by the current roster for the following reasons:

- Noob
- Baraka
- Scorp and Sub
- Ermac
- Kabal
- Smoke
- Li Mei

However, I think with the inclusion of these people, the game would have been perfect:

- Frost
- Rain
- Deadly Alliance Reptile
- Cyrax
