I wouldn't mind seeing Cage or Sonya but in all truth, they had their fair share of games.

Sonya the most, she was in MK1,MK3/UMK3/MKT,MK4/G,MKDA and I can say it's about time they give her a rest for characters that deserve of chance to come back.

Also Cage is pretty much in the same boat as Sonya, except for MK3/UMK3 he was not in, but then he was in MK2.

Characters like Baraka,Ermac,Smoke,Sektor,Kabal, and Noob Saibot all deserve to be in MKD. Fans of them have waited as they were always passed aside.

Nothing against Sonya or Cage and I wouldn't even mind then coming back for MKD, but to people who are complaing, grow up and realize MK does NOT revolve around you alone. They were more then fair enough with the amount of games they were in.

As for the actual topic, well I'm loving the line up. IMO it's one of the best line ups along with MK2 and UMK3.

I don't think anyone should be totally upset. Looking at MK's history, we know that character favourites will somehow return in a different form. Already Li Mei's got Kitana's fan, so expect some element of Kitana in there.
And looking at the latest screenshots, it seems that Kira has most of Kano's moves too. I'm sure Ben will be a copy of Cage. The list goes on.

I'd love to see the originals return (Reptile, Raiden, Sonya, and Cage) as well as Kung Lao, Cyrax, and MOST OF ALL Princess Kitana (u must have gotten the hell beat out of ya by her a lot, Iownyou, to say as much as u did abt. her)!!!

Well...I can't say that I'm angry or not, but I do like the roster of MK:D so far. Personally, I waiting until the game comes out to see who's in and who's not. Then, I'll pass judgement, but for right now....I'm liking the roster. It would be nice if those characters are in Deception (especially Sonya, Raiden, and Kung Lao), But I'm waiting until everything is confirmed.

I'm thoroughly upset but Iam happy that some of the others that were excluded from DA are back, hopefully there will be a code that might allow us to access them later in the game after unlocking certain features or perhaps conquering the conquest mode.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ask people in game shops to name MK characters. You won't be hearing any Nightwolfs, Kabals, or Sindeels. You WILL hear all of the originals. Midway's too focused on giving the select hardcore gamers what they want, and it may bite them in the end if mostly casual players (most of the fans, in other words) dislike the roster. (and I'm afraid they will) Ask around your local game store. I have, and most hate the character selection. I really hope the game does well, but it'll have to do it without my money. If you don't like the characters--don't buy the game. That's what I'm doing, until I hear who's hidden in the game. (E3 2002 saw me reserving a copy of DA after the terrific roster was finally revealed.) You should do the same, if you dislike the direction Midway is taking with the game.

raiden and kung are back as hidden characters ... they are fan fav's

as far as the others? f*ck 'em ... they're used meat ... in fact they're so overused that I'm sick of them, really, I am.

i hope we get kano, sonya, kitana! the others can chill for awhile! but im still holdong out hope that we will get just about every mk character to play as!

True. Originals will always be part of Mk one way or another. I still hear kids talk about Mk, but when they do so, they play to be Johnny Cage, they play the major fight, Scorpion VS Sub.Zero.

When it comes to the game, I always hear fans (kids and teens and olds) mention the ones of Mk1.

And the most interesting part is, that the people who are NOT fans, know more about the original cast (Sonya, Rayden, Scorpion, etc) from Mk1 then any other Mk game!

well im definitly buying the game, its got all of my favorites (Sub-Zero,Smoke,Ermac,Mileena) and im just hoping that whatever flaws are in the roster or the game for that matter will be fixed...looks like a great game

I’m upset, because the game is going to be out in a few months and there is no sign of Sonya!!!
It looks like the possibility of Sonya not making it into this game is becoming a reality, its really very sad that the rest of the females are Bikini clad assassins, where’s the variety?????????????/
Sonya was Top notch in DA and now she’s tossed out to make room for a lame new character.

I'm actually quite happy most of them are not back. The fact that Kabal is back excites me because he never really got enough attention and I think brining him back will make him an even greater character. My favorite characters are back ((Mileena and Kabal)) but IDK if Rain will return since it hasnt been confirmed.
