Including Alan Scott is a bit misleading for the uninformed.

So's including Jay Garrick, if you want to get technical. The DCU itself is a jumbled mess of Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Modern age heroes, and characters such as Alan Scott and Jay Garrick from the Golden Age still make sporadic but noteworthy appearances in the current comics from time to time. With the mess that is the Crisis of Infinite Earths, and the upcoming Final Crisis event, I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up, but if you're wondering why I listed Alan Scott, it's because he still is an honorary member of the Green Lantern Corps and still in active duty with adventures as recent as the comic events 52 and the JSA comic.

Not really... Jay Garrick is linked by the common theme of the speed force. Alan Scott isn't officially part of the Green Lantern Corps, and his ring is of a completely different nature, even though it's effectively similar in practise.
If it's a thread dedicated to informing (another one), then it's just a bit misleading.

Very nice, and definatly appreciated. You should keep going with some more villains.

No, he is. I promise he is. I have the story arc involving the Green Lantern Corps that reveals he was made a member of the Corps, even if he did not directly receive his powers from the Corps like the others. He crafted the ring himself after the essence of the Starheart, which the Guardians of the Universe created before the creation of the Corps, and sent it to earth. It was revealed during DC's "Infinite Crisis", specifically the Rann-Thanagar War that preceeded it, that Kyle discovers Alan Scott is an honorary Green Lantern Corps member, and the story deals heavily with Alan's daughter Jade, another member of the Corps.
Oh yes, I am such a nerd....

Great post but can you explain what each of their special powers does? I mean... just knowing the name of it doesn't say shit. (ie Lasso of Truth, what the fuck is that?)

Working on it, but I'm also trying to be concise and to the point. If something is too vague, let me know, but some things, like "heat vision" or "flight" or "super strength" I doubt need elaboration.

Unbreakable magic lasso that can be used to force someone to speak the truth, but also can be used to free someone from mind control and enable them to see through illusions.

Might be helpful to specify strength level though. Like for example, Hawkman has "super strength" but he isn't as strong as say Superman, Wonder Woman, etc. Just something to consider.

That's an idea, though should I explain it through levels, like 1-10, or just stick with "peak human" vs "enhanced" vs "superhuman" strength?

Blah blah blah blah blah.
Poor phrasing on my part, but the point stands.
Alan Scott isn't a Corpsman and his ring operates under different conditions and rules. (I don't think anyone's ever gotten around to debunking the theory that he isn't even technically human anymore, but I digress...)
And just to keep picking -- Zauriel isn't, and never has been, Hawkman.
He was created as a substitute for Hawkman...
Power distinctions could definitely be helpful...
I'm just trying to be concise and keep things clean and organized. It would just be far too much trouble to explain the full history background of each and every Doctor Fate, or explain the minute differences in power of all the Green Lanterns (because nearly all of them have variances in powers, abilities, and weaknesses). If the character has been, or was ever considered to be, a character, such as Green Lantern, or Hawkman, I included them, even if the characters were surrogates or substitutes. The fact that Alan Scott's powers differ from those of other Corps members does not negate the fact that he still was/is Green Lantern. For the brief bio, I tried to keep things general, so I went with the bio of the "main" characters, such as Hal Jordan, which was something I similarly did for Batgirl. Cassandra Cain is Batgirl, and I did HER brief bio. Helena Bertinelli was Batgirl for only a short, forgettable while so I neglected her bio. You are correct about Zauriel, however; he was considered a stand-in for Hawkman during a Hawkman-ban by DC due to the character's convoluted character history and overuse of retcons, but he was never Hawkman. My error.

... And doesn't really have much of anything to do with Hawkman.
I just mean to point out that characters like these have fairly different distinctions and functions; whereas the Flash's are all reasonably similar with the exception of certain details.
Certainly the distinction of an angel versus a Thanagarian/cursed librarian is probably going to be worth noting for MK fans.

Hence why I removed him from the list.

Using "peak human," "enhanced,", and "superhuman" would work. If you use levels, I would keep at 1-5 though. I think trying to do 1-10 would be difficult.

That would be awesome!
Although, Plastic Man's versatility would be hard to restrict that much. You could totally get away with giving him all kinds of crazy transformations (even rubber animalities!) and leave stretchy limbs to Elongated Man!
