Always hated how he looked, but I certainly respect his power: Metamorpho, he Element man would be cool, I think.
The Flash also (as I've heard a million times) has the ability to steal speed from people. Can also bestow speed upon persons as well) As far as I know, he's only done it once. He also has something called the infinite mass-punch where he directs all of his velocity behind his punch. Said to be more powerful than anything Superman has thrown.
Manbat might make an interesting boss, as well.

Very nice dude. That "Darkseid" looks like he would be a good match for Shao Kahn. They're a lot alike if you think about it.

Two evil meglomaniacs with unbelievable power who sought to conquer Earth only to be felled by a combination of heroes and their own adopted children who rebelled against them? Yeah, I can see that.
Speaking of which, I added Mister Miracle and Big Barda to the list. Mmm, Big Barda....

Here's a few more cool DC characters:
Bizarro: There's been a few different versions of Bizarro over the years but will list a few. Powers and Abilities:Originally Kryptonian powers, which later evolved into reverse versions, including freeze-vision, heat-breath, vacuum breath, spot-light vision, x-ray hearing, etc.
Pre-Crisis Bizarro:
The original Bizarro is created during a laboratory accident. A scientist demonstrating his newly invented "duplicating ray" to Superboy, tests the device on a radium pellet and a jewel. However, the duplicated radium was non-radioactive and the jewel melted. The scientist then stumbles and knocks the machine, inadvertently creating an imperfect Superboy. Although the scientist insists the duplicate is not alive, the creature nonetheless escapes from the lab. Bizarro wants to be accepted, but his appearance and erratic behavior scares people, especially since he has little control over his super-strength. He is befriended by a blind girl, shortly before Superboy realizes the remains of the machine would act as Kryptonite to the doppleganger. During the confrontation, Bizarro flies straight towards Superboy, having realized that the shockwave from his destruction would cure the girl's blindness.
The later Bizarro is re-created by Lex Luthor, who uses the "duplicating ray" on the adult Superman and hopes to use the duplicate in an attack on Superman. Bizarro does not cooperate and instead tried to emulate Superman. Unfortunately, his attempts to match the original's heroics are clumsy and destructive. He kidnapped Lois for companionship. This is resolved when Lois creates a Bizarro-Lois of herself for Bizarro using the "duplication ray". Feeling rejected by the people of Earth, they move to the world of Htrae, which had ancient advanced technology which they use to populate the planet with other Bizarros created in the same manner.
Post Crisis Versions:
Lex Luthor creates a clone to combat the Man of Steel. [2] The clone is proven to be imperfect, the imperfections in the duplicates eventually fatal. The mute creature makes several attempts to "be" Superman, including wearing a jacket and glasses over his still visible costume. The flawed duplicate is destroyed when he and Superman fly into each other.
Luthor later recreates Bizarro to offer insight into how to stop the "Clone Plague". The new Bizarro escapes, and kidnapped Lois Lane, taking her to "Bizarro World"; a warehouse set up like a surreal version of Metropolis. He subjects her to danger, so she manages to escape, and Bizarro is recaptured by Lexcorp, where it subsequently dies.
Emperor Joker
A later version of Bizarro is created by the Joker by the use of the powers of Mr. Mxyzptlk; [3]. The Joker creates a twisted version of Earth, a perfect cube with Joker's image on each facet. Created to be the greatest hero of Jokerworld and leader of that world's JLA (Joker's League of Anarchy), the backwards talking Bizarro is one of a number of characters Mxyzptlk saves from that world after Joker loses the stolen powers. The creature is subsequently captured by the Pokolistanian dictator General Zod, and tortured, apparently just for the pleasure of beating someone who resembles Superman.
After escaping from Pokolistan with Superman's help, Bizarro recreates his Jokerworld headquarters, the Graveyard of Solitude, and at erratic intervals emerges to "help" or hinder Superman; the decision as to which being seemingly random, and the same amount of trouble caused either way.
Bizarro is invited to join the Secret Society of Supervillains. Bizarro challenges Zoom to a race, due to Bizarro's complicated speech patterns, neither Zoom nor Cheetah are sure which end result of the race would convince Bizarro to join. The two race across the planet, Bizarro's erratic zig-zag path a point of contention with Zoom. While with the Society, Bizarro kills the Human Bomb, commenting that he likes the flashes of light that the Bomb's powers produce.
One year later
One year later, Bizarro is a captive of Lex Luthor and has been watching television in a small room for thirteen months. As a result, he is much smarter than before. Bizarro finds he can create other Bizarros under the power of a blue sun, and uses his new ability to populate the planet with new Bizarros. With Superman's help, he becomes the new Bizarro World's greatest hero.
A promotional image for the Rann/Thanagar: Holy War series indicates that Bizarro (and perhaps Bizarro World) will feature in the conflict.
Red Sun Bizarro Version:
Original Bizarro:
Smallville version: A phantom that escaped the Phantom Zone and was created by taken Clark Kents aka Kal-El aka Superman's DNA in need of a Kryptonian to create a body for himself to create Supermans counterpart. I'll post wiki's detailed explanation, but pretty much Smallville's version is a combination of different Bizarro's with the exception of "talking weird" or saying things that "mean the opposite"
In the Smallville season 6 finale "Phantom", the last of the escaped Phantom Zone criminals requires a Kryptonian host to survive. The creature, who was consistently referred to as "The Phantom," or "the Wraith from the Phantom Zone," was designed and built on Krypton, using genetic modification, but was trapped in the Phantom Zone when it became dangerous. The creature bonds with Clark Kent's DNA and becomes an exact duplicate of the Kryptonian (though having a slightly deeper voice and wearing a navy-blue jacket and maroon shirt, as opposed to Clark's red jacket and blue shirt, for the sake of audio/visual distinction). Lionel Luthor attempts to use green kryptonite against the duplicate, but it only strengthens it. When Clark asks "What are you?" the duplicate replies, "I'm you, only a little more bizarre." A short time later the duplicate's face changes from an exact copy of Clark's to one resembling Bizarro's signature rock-like, misshapen face, as it does when exposed to sunlight and during any other moment of weakness. He also exhibits the ability to fly, unlike Clark himself. Clark was able to defeat Bizarro in the season seven premiere, entitled "Bizarro", when Clark uppercuts him towards the sun, and Martian Manhunter flies by and catches him, flying him to the sunny side of Mars and stranding him there.
In the episode "Gemini," Clark begins to behave unusually after his return from the Fortress of Solitude. At the episode's end it is revealed that "Clark" is actually Bizarro, while the real Clark is still in the Fortress trapped within a block of ice for his defiance in "Blue".
During this time, in the episode "Persona", Bizarro appears to be settling smoothly into Clark's life and even begins a relationship with Lana Lang. In an effort to rid himself of his weakness to sunlight and effectively remain posing as Clark, he tracks down the recently rebooted Brainiac. As Brainac is still too weak to be of any real assistance, the Kryptonian A.I. remarked that the Kryptonian Scientist Dax-Ur could help. While visiting Chloe at the Daily Planet, Bizarro learns of an ancient shield that Chloe found some time ago, and believes it to be in Kara's possession. He journeys to the Fortress in search of Kara, only to be ordered by Jor-El to leave. Soon afterwards, Clark is freed in order to put a stop to Bizarro's plan. Going to Lionel Luthor (who is actually Brainiac in disguise) for advice, Clark discovers how to find Dax-Ur and that Bizarro can be destroyed by Blue Kryptonite, which he acquires during his visit to Dax-Ur. When Lana discovers she had in fact been involved with Bizarro, she is devastated, and frightened upon glimpsing his true form under sunlight. She leaves to find Clark and Bizarro tries to stop her, but not before Clark arrives. Clark tries to attack Bizarro with the Blue Kryptonite but is no match for Bizarro's super-strength and is knocked aside. Lana takes the rock from Clark and confronts Bizarro herself. Bizarro reveals his true feelings to Lana and tells her about how happy he is thanks to her, while scolding Clark for not being there when Lana needed him most. Lana agrees with Bizarro and the pair share a touching moment before Lana places the Blue Kryptonite in his hand. Shocked, Bizarro's body begins to disintegrate as the Kryptonite radiation overloads his body with power.
In contrast to other versions of Bizarro, Smallville's take on the character does not have any linguistic troubles, and the traditional deformed visage of his comic counterpart only appears occasionally. He is portrayed by Tom Welling. Series creator Al Gough left the possibility of Bizarro's return in the future open, saying "There is ALWAYS a chance that this guy could show up".
Bizarro:
Sinestro:
Powers and Abilities:Qwardian power ring Sinestro was a master tactician and a superior combatant. Sinestro was fearless and had the ability to analyze and act on any given situation without hesitation. His primary weapon was his power ring, which is virtually identical to the power rings used by the Green Lantern Corps, except that it only utilizes the yellow range of the spectrum. Sinestros’ power ring was capable of doing almost anything he could imagine. Examples of its’ powers include flight, phasing, creating giant objects formed of energy, and force fields. Sinestro’s power ring could also counter the abilities of any Green Lantern’s power ring.
A native of the planet Korugar in space sector 1417 (as the Guardians designate space), Sinestro's dedication to preserving order originally manifested in his previous career, an anthropologist specializing in reconstructions of ruins of long-dead civilization. One day while he was on one such site, a Green Lantern named Prohl Gosgotha crashlanded into the site, injured and apparently dying. He quickly gave his ring to Sinestro, just in time for Sinestro, who barely even understood what the ring could do, to defend himself from the Lantern's pursuer, a yellow-clad Weaponer of Qward. However, Sinestro had to destroy the very ruins he had spent loving care restoring, to crush the Qwardian. Afterward, Gosgotha turned out to still be alive, and asked for his ring back to keep him alive long enough to get help. Sinestro, knowing this would mean not being a Green Lantern himself, instead allowed him to die and took over his post, the Guardians unaware of his actions.
His desire for order did well by him in the Corps, and initially led him to be considered one of the greatest Green Lanterns. As the years passed, he became more and more fixated upon not simply protecting his sector, but on preserving order in the society of his home planet no matter the cost. Eventually he concluded that the best way to accomplish this was to conquer Korugar, and to rule the planet as a dictator.
Sinestro as a member of the Green Lantern Corps. Art by Alan Davis. When Hal Jordan joined the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro was assigned to be his instructor. Jordan was horrified at his new mentor's fascistic methods, though Sinestro maintained that his iron-fisted rule was necessary to protect his people from alien forces. During his training, Jordan helped Sinestro repel an attempted invasion of Korugar by the alien warlords known as the Khunds. When Jordan called for help from the other Green Lanterns, Sinestro's dictatorship was exposed and he was forced to appear before the Guardians for punishment. Katma Tui, the leader of a Korugarian resistance movement who felt that Sinestro's "protection" kept her people from growing as a society through contact with other alien races, was recruited as his replacement in the Corps. Though Katma Tui eventually grew into one of the most respected Green Lanterns, she and the rest of Korugar initially resisted her appointment to the Corps; due to Sinestro's actions, Korugar had come to consider the symbol of the Green Lantern Corps an emblem of tyranny and oppression.

Update: Added Metamorpho, Poison Ivy, Adam Strange, and Nightwing.
Note: Nightwing is heavily rumored to become Batman in a few months, so his status might change by the time the game is released. Also, I included Poison Ivy because she has been rumored on a few noteworthy sites to be a playable character, but for the most part I've tried to avoid using too many Batman villains.

Anybody said Solomon Grundy yet?
Don't really know his stuff though...
There's also um...Booster Gold, Red Tornado, and Steel. Off the top of my head that you don't already have in the first post.

I finally got around to Solomon Grundy and Booster Gold. Added Blue Beetle as well. I haven't gotten around to Red Tornado yet, and I'm reluctant to add Steel simply because he's too much of a Superman clone (though that movie with Shaq may be skewing my prejudice against him....)

You should do one on Circe, since she's more Wonder Woman's "arch-nemesis" than Cheetah is.

Circe is a pretty big Wonder Woman villain, but in a historical perspective, she has never been the constant threat that the Cheetah has been. Circe was, in fact, friends with Wonder Woman for years after she cast a spell on herself to make her more "human". Cheetah predates Circe's appearance by almost 30 issues, and the general consensus is that she's the most noteworthy rogue in Wonder Woman's gallery, as well as the most consistant presence and threat out of the rogue gallery. But Circe's not too far behind.
Also, I added Mister Terrific, Doctor Polaris, and The Spectre to the list.

The Joker has no real identity so listing aliases for the Clown Prince is a bit useless (especially the Tim Burton fabricated Jack Napier)

Even though Cheetah is more well known because she has history, a lot of effort has been made recently...some would probably say too much effort...in trying to establish Circe as Wonder Woman's true "arch-nemesis."
I know Circe was WW's "friend" for a time....but that was only done in an attempt to kill her, which kind of backfired on Circe.

Several potential "origin" stories, in the comics, have referred to the Joker by various names. He's been called "Jack" several times before, and was fully called Jack Napier in Tim Burton's Batman as well as the pretty high-caliber Batman: The Animated Series. Does that make it official? Hardly, hence why I said it was a possibility for his real name. Ultimately, he's a mystery, and we may never know. But then again, I never thought we'd find out Wolverine's real name was really James Howlett.

True, but the same could be said for various other superheroes and their arch nemesis. The Joker is considered to be Batman's arch-nemesis, despite other characters, such as Ra's Al Ghul and even Bane, being arguably more suited to the role. I'm not saying Circe is any deadlier or any worse than Cheetah, but only that from a comic standpoint the Cheetah has typically been the one represented as Wonder Woman's arch nemesis, either in comics, animated cartoons such as the Superfriends or modern Justice League, or video games.
Still, Wonder Woman doesn't exactly have that great of a rogues gallery anyway....

Not necessarily. The Joker always has been and still is portrayed as Batman's #1 foe. Same with Lex Luthor for Superman and various other examples. And most likely, they always will be. In the past, Cheetah was portrayed as WW's #1, but ever since George Perez introduced her, it's been shifted to Circe. Cheetah is still acknowledged as a major foe due to their history, but in the comics, Circe is frequently presented as WW's #1 opponent. Cheetah was, but I think they're trying to change that.
But I guess we're getting off topic with this. Regardless, you should add an entry on Circe because, #1 arch-nemesis or not, she is a major WW foe.
I'll see what I can dig up on Circe beyond my limited following of her. Though, feel free to add any information you can. You're more than welcome to contribute to the list.
Speaking of which, I added Vandal Savage and Darkseid's son Orion to the roster. Yep, we're getting more obscure now, even if they are power players.

What an excellent thread Garlador. Well done, and keep it up.
I think this is a good thread for the board, as most people only know the Batman characters, Superman and Wonder Woman and this lets them see more of the wellknown and lesser known DC elements.
I think you should include the Robin (I know u had Nightwing but isnt there currently a Robin), Circe, Hawgirl, Batwoman, Riddler, Penguin, Two Face, Mr Freeze, Fatality and Captain Marvel (Sorry if you ahve and I missed them)

I guess I should have gotten around to Captain Marvel sooner. :P
I've been trying to limit the number of Batman-related charactes, simply because they already have much more exposure than 99% of the other DC characters, heroes or villains. I've already included Batman, Joker, Nightwing, Bane, Batgirl, Catman, Poison Ivy, Azrael, Huntress, and Catwoman, but only because they are more likely candidates to being in the game, as opposed to some of Batman's more well-known, but less adept, adversaries, such as Penguin, Riddler, or even Clayface. This is, after all, MK vs. DC Universe and not MK vs. Batman Universe. Though, there are still others such as Ra's Al Ghul or even Hush worth mentioning in this thread, though if you feel that characters like Two Face, Penguin, Riddler, and Mr. Freeze need to be represented, I'll put them in there, but I'd rather mention the more notable characters that nobody really knows about, such as Mary Marvel, General Zod, Kalibak, Donna Troy, John Constantine, or even Raven, Cyborg, and Beast Boy.

Hey I understand why you didnt include some of the Batman characters that I mentioned in favoure of the lesser known/obvious DC characters, I just meant that they should be mentioned eventually at some point.
