Okay, how about this: Ed Boon has publicly stated (In an interview with I believe either mortalkombatonline or TRMK) that it is not financially viable for Midway to continue to release PC versions of Mortal Kombat games due to how terrible the sales always were for Mortal Kombat on the PC, and that there will be no future PC Mortal Kombat releases. Evidently Midway's sales figures show that more people tend to agree with me than you and nobody wants to play MK on a PC anyway, but that's beside the point. The point is that it is literally not worth Midway's time to make the effort, unless they want to do business at a loss. Which they can hardly afford seeing as how they're a flat broke company as it is.

Is Midway's potential bankruptcy good enough reason to quell your screaming mad paroxysm of stupidity? Well, if you want to play a current gen fighting game on a PC to begin with then it probably isn't. Carry on then.

So I went to gamestop and they said to check back soon. But word is, they are having a PC version. Shows that fighting games can be done on PC. Lates.

A keyboard isn't that bad for fighting games, but the fact that you can cheat with a keyboard kind of ruins it a little bit.

I remember the older MK's being on the PC, perhaps in the future. I also think most people play fighters on consoles as oppose to PC but who knows, in the future it might happen.

Blind fanboyism and rivalry annoys the crap out of me. It is because of such genetical wastes we got MK to where it is.


The only hindrance on the PC is the keyboard, and even then it is only bad when you are playing 2 player. The maximum imput count can jam moves.
Also, you know, some of us do not feel confortable with a gamepad. Hell, I am utterly disgruntled by controllers for they are too small and too "shaped"
for my longass fingers. I could not play MKDA after half an hour because of it.

Seriously, though.

What makes anyone think that a fighting game will be good on PC? If The Sims required that much typing, I don't think it would be one of the biggest selling PC game franchises. All that hand movement is for the joystick, which really only requires the thumbs. That's what people are used to. To change that would only piss people off.

yeah it's not a good move financially. pc fighter ports aren't exactly the rage, nor were they really ever. it's all about the money. protest a lot and maybe they'll do it, like they did with the gamecube port of deception. sometimes that works.

Maybe you're just confusing it with the fact that playing MKDA hurts your hands anyways. But, really, have you ever tried the old Xbox controllers?


Really, I wouldn't have a problem with it coming out for PC, the real reason is probably because Midway doesn't expect enough of a return on their investment to put all of the extra work and money into such a project.

You know you can hook up a game controller onto a PC. Just via USB. Too easy. You are not confined to a keyboard per say.

Virtua Fighter series, Mortal Kombat series up to MK4, Primal Rage, Tekken, well they all pretty much had PC compatibility or PC releases.

Concerning the hand thing, no. I am genuinely alien to gamepads and find them all to bothersome. But that is a special, personal thing.

Also to the idiots that need to be put to death in this thread, just be thankful I am no longer a mod. Besides, what kind of dumbass would provoke a console or platform war here? Go on, have incest with your dogs or something. -sarcasm-

Yes, and? Tekken never had a PC release, it was just emulated for the hell of it. It's been explained why MK stopped producing PC games; serious loss of money. Why do you think Virtua Fighter hasn't had a PC release since Virtua Fighter II? Same reason. The only 'fail' here is your reluctance to live in the real world with the rest of us. If you don't like it, take it up with Midway's books. It's not our fault and it's not Midway's fault that nobody wants to buy fighters on the PC.

Seriously, if you can't use a gamepad then what are you doing spending so much time obsessing over a game which has been playable ONLY with a gamepad for seven years plus? Wait for somebody to emulate the PS3 on PC and download the rom so you can play it on your keyboard? Fighting games are clearly not for you.
