i like styker and i think if they gave him a new look and expanded his story more people would like him.

I'm sure everyone has room for improvement, except Stryker. God I hate Stryker. This little post can't even begin why I think Stryker sucks.

He needs to look SWAT-like and have cooler moves!

haha absolutely in 100% agreement. If they could work in stryker dying into everyones endings, that would be great. He just seems so drastically out of place in the Mk World I really dont think theres hope for him.

I agree with Stryker being out of place, but I thought he played well, esp. in UMK3/MK Trilogy. I doubt that he can really be improved upon, though. His story really confines him to the MK3 world. I can't see him going to Outworld or anywhere except Earth.

I never hated Stryker. He had awesome combo abilities in UMK3. Broken or not, they were still there. If they gave him a new look, I think he could be a good character.

But I agree that his story does confine him to the storyline from MK3/UMK3. If they can come up with a good way for him to come back storyline wise, I would like to see him in Deception.

NO character is out of place in the MK world, except maybe Nitara. Vampires shouldn't be in MK, they've always been more original than that. Just my opinion.

You can hate stryker for your own reasons, but he isn't out of place. All characters are welcome, that is why MK is so unique with its roster.

Once again, this game IS called Mortal Kombat, so if you run out of mortals, then you might as well change the name to Immortal Kombat. The reason I like Johnny Cage, Stryker and Jax so much is because they ARE average people. Stryker is just a cop, that is cool. No other MK character is like him, he is very unique, and Jax/Sonya being in the Special Forces doesn't count. He is just a cop. They are normal humans, that can compete with characters like Scorpion. If you threw stryker up against anyone in ANY other fighting game, he would bitch slap them.

Give him a chance. Besides, he was a good fighter in MK3 if you knew what you were doing.

I don't see Styker gaining my interest. I like very few of the "normal" human fighters and I already find him pretty boring and it seems like the only place he can go for a future game is join the Special Forces. But I hate the Special Forces too, so that won't get him anywhere in my eyes.
I won't say I'll never like Stryker, or that he'll never improve, and I'm all for second chance, but I just don't seen him gaining my interest any time soon.

Anyone recall the bio i did for Strker in it I said that he should join the special forces and bla bla bla fast foward a little Kenshi turns on Sonya and the special forces and jax gets brainwashed from the dragon king to kill sonya,Stryker and kabal. Later kenshi was found working for a higher allegiance like Quan chi and The Dragon King. And with the revival of Lui Kang the dk plans on using him to kill all the earth mortals. And later Stryker is seen battiling within the special forces cause he's been acting unusal.

My point is maybe they can take my storyline and improve upon it. Also do u guys like the idea of the dragon king brainwashing key mortals to kill off the earth mortals? I dont know i always liked stryker and i would like to see him back.

i hope he has nothing to do w/ the S. F. as i only like jax from it. i think the reason y he is apart of mkd,well how he stumbled into the outworld..i think when the dragon king was reborn he unleashes alot of power and he manages to start combining the outworld w/ all the other realm's and part of earth..

his look should be the same except he needs a hair cut and to change his hair color to black!!

Stryker is WAY to horrible, i hope he never returns again. Hes flat out pointless and worthless. A police officer being in MK? Pffft....since when. I dont think he would fit well in the MK universe. IMO him being in MK is almost as bad as the whole special forces unit taking part in MK, because IMO they dont play a good role at all, just flat out boring.

Screw that. I said it before, if a boring character can be brought back and improved, let im in. I never hated Stryker, but wasn't my fave either. Maybe his story ended in MK3, but like others say, if the MK team gave him a good reason to bring him back, it'd be bad ass. But not the sam old boring Special Forces things. I loved Kensi's story, but was disappointed at his ending. I didn't like the fact that he was from special forces. I'd say have Stryker retransformed into a badas sucka. Have him be the ONE, Matrix style. Dress all in black, get powers from Rayden, and join the warriors/

I’m sure there is more in his story then being just a normal cop. And even if that was it, at least it adds some sort of variety. It would be kind a lame if he was thrown into the SF to avoid any deeper improvement on his story.

In one of the Ed Boon interviews, He mentioned that he took all of the feedback from the fans and imputted all of that into the game. Obviously, many fans IMO expressed that they liked Stryker the least. And for that reason, he is not playable. The recent Stryker postings could possibly be from the few Stryker fans who are in denial that he is not a favorite character. I'm not looking to be flamed. Just giving the facts IMO.

i dont hate stryker i would actually like him back but I know everyone says this... change his story because it sucks.

Actually, I made a thread a long time ago in the classic forums section, about how many people truly hated Stryker, and it turns out to be that there are actually many people who don’t hate him at all.

I know the majority has spoken, and I’m no fan of Stryker neither, but there is a large group of people who actually like him and can give him a chance.

Yeah, everyone deserves another chance. When I heard Tanya was in, I got so pissed, I didn't play MK:DA for a week! And now that I've seen her, they should definately have a go at Stryker too with a new make-over because Tanya looks f*cking kickass!

Stryker could easilly be converted into a crowd favourite, just as Tanya appears to have been.

Shinnok would be in need of a greater makeover than Stryker ever would.

I wouldn't go so far as to call Tanya a fan favorite just yet, as we haven't even seen her fight (just a snippet in the trailer). Although I agree her look is awesome, I'm going to wait to hear her story and see some gameplay vids before I pass judgement.

I don't see what the big deal is, either way. Yes, he was lame, overweight. He had the stupiest fatality (right up there with Jax growing 60' tall & stepping on you- wtf?). But, who cares? They could make him work. They will likely not use him & create a new character in the same vein as Stryker, without the name Stryker.
