Shao Kahn is a character I have a love/hate relationship with. Yeah, I know this isn't a "Yes" or "No" answer, but bear with me.

On one hand, he's a great boss. He kicked my ass so hard I felt it through the entire roster of MK characters. He was fast, cheap, brutal... but, most of all, he had CHARISMA. That booming voice, the taunts and insults, are legendary.

But he's been overexposed. From the awful movie to the cartoon to being the main boss in three MK games, he's overstayed his welcome. Making him a "regular" member of the cast since MK: Deception was a bad choice, stripping him of his mega-power and authority and making him must a touch guy.

If he was to return, he'd have to have one helluva return to the spotlight. Otherwise, I'm going to say "No." But you don't have to kill him. Make him a baddie in the background, always watching, orchestrating, backstabbing, and manipulating. Either make him super badass, or don't have him in at all.

No. They can't keep the same bad guy forever. His story arc is the invasion of Earth, and it is definitely over.

I disagree. Shao Kahn is a brilliant character with tons of potential. I don't think he's one to go down so easy and they should definitely flesh out his character some more. He strikes me as having the potential to be an incredibly complex character, the kind of villain that you really empathize with, even cheer for.

well with Darrius I want to say yes but seeing how with that chapter of MK over there is actually no reason for him to exist anymore.
