i agree too, however they will all have some individuality now thanks to the fighting styles and the looks.

If that list is the confirmed character list, then I'm a little disappointed with some of the choices! I'm glad Raiden will be back, but characters like Master Cho aren't impressive.

I'm glad to see Tanya back. She was a great character and I expect her to still be great on MKD.

The thing is, where are the characters that should be in the game like Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Mavado, Nitara, Kung Lao and Sonya? Their stories were practically the basis for MKDA and it's events.

HELLO we know that the story will continue from mk deadly alliance. and at the ending of Quan chi I think they said that Liu Kang's soul will come in the dead body of Kano. so he has chance of coming back. so its fine with me if he is coming back in a evil form

According to that German article, Smoke is confirmed and they have a screenshot of him kicking baraka and the caption mentions Smoke's name.

If skab is the individual pictured between sub zero and mileena in their article, that character has caught my interest. He had a red and blue outfit and a demon like appearance in his face (human appearance) but minus a nose and with orange face paint (reminds me of the Ultimate Warrior from classic WWF).

I know the rule of not linking or mentioning where the scans are found, so obviously I won't break that. It's possible that the magazine has the wrong information and it is Noob in an alt costume.

Before I jump on the "WTF Boon" bandwagon... I'll wait until the game is in my PS2. Like someone stated above, given the new game engine almost an old character could be a worthy addition with the depth it allows the developers.

I think we all need to just chill for awhile. I don't know who these forum insiders are that confirm these things from the german magazine, but if it was really true it most likely would have been in the american one too. I think we all need to just wait until E3 until these characters are officially confirmed by boon and midway. At face value the characters may seem stupid given the premise that they are based on, but a long time i was looking at a magazine(which i still have) for MK3 characters and I admit that a lot of them seemed stupid with premise names like the bride, cyber ninja, native american and the unusual story of jax having his own arms ripped out by his alter ego(?) and replaced by bionic arms. When the game came out the characters actually had names and stories to them which made them a lot better than in that magazine. Now maybe in past games a lot of the characters were palette swaps and there were a lot of ninjas but you are just going to have to look at them as seperate people with their own stories that tie into the mk story and require their appearance. Everyones story and plot will be explained and everything will be just fine. Most of the characters the have been posted have been confirmed, but there are some that haven't and those are usually the ones with only premise names such as kano girl, lui kang spirit, skab(?), and some others that have been mentioned. And there is no comfirmation the one of the new characters will be the one that you make in konquest. What purpose would that serve when they go to make sequels? Maybe it will and maybe it won't. So before you start having heart attacks and seizures about what they are thinking, just know that they know what they are doing. It may all seem strange and out of place now, but everything will be explained. If you think you know whats good for the mk series than what the creator has planned you are welcom to go to midway yourself and demand that they listen to you. So for right before any more topics get posted about what they are thinking, what are you thinking? If you think you got something better than what they have already planned for the game, you are welcome to post your ideas on what would be cool, but don't waste topic space on bitching about the series and how everything is going wrong and that the creator himself has no idea what he is doing. Trust me, he has a better idea than any of you. Just wait untill E3 where things will be explained better, and if they are not, then just wait longer. The game will eventually come out. And then you can whine about how certain things weren't right and so on, but for right now you don't have any place to tell the midway team that they don't know what they are doing.

But I disagree about the fan-favorite thing. They're only listing to those of you in this forum. You go out on the street and ask people to name MK characters--you won't hear the names of most of MK: D's cast. You're gonna hear : Kano, Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya, just like the song goes. Sure, you'll also hear the MKII guys, but that's it. Most people lost interest around MK3, so Boon and Company are making a huge mistake--it's the characters that killed MK3, and they're doing it all over again. Too many ninjas=MK is once again a laughing stock.

You may hate some of those characters I listed, heck, I do too, but I really believe they should've been in the game. This game may do ok, but it will cause MK7's sales to plummet, mark my words.

I like the idea that Midway are killing off characters to make way for new ones but you're killing off waaay too many, waaay too fast. Scorpion is back but where the fuck is QUAN CHI?!?!?! I really hope this is all one big deception and they have better characters in store for us cuz I see no plot significance for more than half of the characters. Given, I don't know the plot but if we're picking up where MKDA left off then everything makes no sense.
