WTF (People to watch out for online)

This thread is to warn other people who they should NOT fight online, for whatever reason.

K, there's a guy called daleenquent (dunno the number) don't fight him because all he does is uses Sub-Zero and uses teleport>slide>slide>slide>freeze>slide
OR
teleport>counter>counter>counter>counter (if counter works) slide>the combo above

it really is annoying.

Also, there are two general groups of people I met online:

Flash-holes:People who do nothing but spam Flash's special, easy to beat with Scorpion's inner falem. either that or hold block and wait for an opening

Superjerks:spam the ground pound if they start to lose, that and heat vision, but mostly ground pound.

This should NOT be a flame war, just a thread of who you feel others should avoid for any good reason

Cheap moves are a part of many fighting games, and they are completely allowed. You can get out of these moves quite easily. If they are spamming the same move over and over should make you less likely to lose actually. They are predictable and you can finish them off.

Wow, this thread really isn't a good idea. I can see warning against players who use infinites or cheats, but other than that that this is merely the opinion of someone (who probably lost) without hearing the other side or seeing the match for ourselves - great potential for abuse.

This isn't going to be pretty.

rofl. Are you such a shitty player that you can't even defend against such obviously telegraphed tactics? They're not assholes for playing the game, you're just a scrub for complaining about the fact that they are. What they're doing is called "winning." Lrn2play.

Learn to beat the tactics. If a fighting game is worth its weight in salt then if you learn the game you'll be able to win. If there is genuinely broke-ass shit (MKD, MKA) then the game isn't worth playing anyway and you're just wasting your time. So don't hate the player, hate the game.

Though so far, outside of Superman's infinite, I haven't seen anything that doesn't have some kind of answer from the rest of the cast. Some matchups are just going to be harder than others but that's how every fighting game is. In the end, if a game is good (which so far I think this one just might be) then if you lose a match it's your fault.

I am not convinced there really is any infinites, including Superman. Matter of fact, I can't ever see that happening if we add in breakers. Doesn't make sense.

Superman's infinite exists, I've ran into people online using it against me. Midway needs to patch it.

Well lets hope that future updates will fix these cheap moves. I am kind of staying away from the online right now because of all the lag going on.

me 2 ive seen this a good 4 or five times even with charcters like marvle or scorpion you have no tiem to telaport of attack back they do need to patch superman soemhow if possiblegrin

If you can escape it, it's not an infinite. And there's nothing wrong with abusing a move. That's what they're there for.

No. I'm the type that spams moves right from the get go before people have a chance to kick my ass. Then I laugh at retards who lose consistantly to me and complain that my wins "don't count" because I was "being cheap" and that they're "better players" than me dispite the fact that I always beat them. lol.

If Midway didn't want players to use something then they shouldn't have included it in their game. If it's in the game, it's part of the game. Simple.

Well, when there's just a small opening for you to escape a move, then it's cheap. He kept using it in succession, and there was just a small opening for me to get out of it. That's cheap. It takes away all skill involved in the match, and just makes the game a "who can be the cheapest" war.

Of course, using Subby's teleport to get the upperhand isn't cheap, that's just a regular move that you can stop. Using Flash's moves isn't cheaped, it can be easilly blocked and countered. Using a move that prevents you from fighting? I tihnk that's cheap.

If something can be abused then it should be abused in competitive play. It's the designers' job to make sure the cheese is kept to a minimum. And, like I said, nothing aside from Clark's infinite strikes me as something that leaves the victim with absolutely no recourse. If you play my Captain Marvel you're going to be seeing a hell of a lot of Shazams. Am I abusing them? Sure. But they aren't invincible and I've been bested numerous times already.
