Do you realize your whole argument is nullified by the fact YOU didnt pass HS YOURSELF, but were essentially "PASSED" by an underpaid sympathetic teacher following orders from the administrators being pressured by the Board of Ed. during the "no child left behind" era?
The teacher should have done the world a favor and flunked you. Maybe you would have stopped trying to play the sympathy card.
Loser.

Nothing lol, they won't understand anyway since they don't even read it to begin with...except Omerta, I do want him at least to hear where I'm coming from, the rest I couldn't give two shits...
Red's apparently obsessed with mcdonalds....
Anywho, DOA4 have you played Trax or VF5? Personally, I like DOA more as far as just these two are concerned.
Doom or Quake?

Let me tell ya a story Omerta, just to prove this and that every teacher or "some" I won't say "every" because that's not fair, but SOME I know for a fact make up their own rules despite the corricular system.
I had this math teacher once, busted my ass, did my homework, participated and made an effort as well as never once cut or gave her trouble the problem? I did 50/50 on quizes which were every friday....
Passed some and failed some, did everything else correctly but the bitch failed me one term

But the point is this, there were kids in that class that cut EVERY day, caused trouble and never did their homework but would show up on fridays, pass and got passed? can you say fucking joke? lol hell even most of the school used to talk about which teacher "abused" their power and made up retarded rules despite the rules of the school/educational system. Not to mention all she did was read math book page 41 and do this blah, blah..it's not like she actually went to the board often and taught the class like you're supposed to...
So, teachers like this I have 0 respect for honestly...
Now, another case of where I SHOULD have failed but didn't because the teacher liked me and saw that I made an effort and busted my ass this one year, one term. I did about 50/50 with friday quizes, and had trouble with this guys tests...but did everything else right. But I knew I was failing this one course, so what happened was this. Now, those are two situations that prove not only that a teacher can be a moron but also how a teacher can be objective at the same time.
Like I said now, I used to work with a teacher in one of my last 3 jobs. And english teacher for 15+ years retired and we used to chat all the time about school etc. She said herself that the schools system now is messed up but improving, and teachers are supposed to follow a standard of rules...some do it, others don't and do whatever the fuck they want...the corrupted teachers as we called it and don't deserve to be a teacher.
Now, there's also BAD student's as well which I definitely don't deny. God knows I had to live thru and go to some messed up classes with the kids at times thru out the years when I went to school years ago.
I appreciate the update on education Omerta C, but note that Dr's post was way off in his comparison. The whole "school system" is off topic by both of us but you get what I'm saying. Hopefully...Later
Since you're going to be a teacher Omerta, you of all people should know that disabled kids or Special Ed NEED WAY more help in school compared to a regular academic student. This discussion spawned from the continuing argument that "graduating high school is proof that you are smart". Iceman started and I followed by supplying ample reasons why this claim is absurd. I explained the system and why this argument is naive. High School was a breeze for many people. I never struggled with it, ever... This makes me ignorant? I will elaborate on a previous point of mine... I said graduating high school makes you average because you are SUPPOSED to graduate, it is constructed that way. If we polled everyone on these boards above the age of 18, I'd be willing to bet that the overwhelming majority have graduated high school.. So according to your theory, everyone would be smart. Now we are back to the beginning, the reason why a HS Diploma is not a measuring stick for intelligence in the real, post-HS world... So, I'm listening with an open mind here... I've explained my reasons, so please explain your statement to me, why people should ever believe your argument. Failing classes and/or struggling to pass into the next grade is not something I will talk shit on someone for. But they are definitly not bragging rights, don't try to turn them into that, 'cause people will (and already have) jump on you for it.
That is basically the point for what our discussion is really about. However, you invented some new twists in your storyline so I will comment on them as well. I understand that there are good teachers and bad teachers. No one can argue this. I also understand the special needs of Special Ed. students. No one should ever argue this either. These are your two basic points. They are both true I would never deny them. But your two stories of teachers passing/failing is only somewhat impacted by the "No Child Left Behind" law. The "NCLB" revolves around standardized tests in order for students to pass into the next grade. These are standardized statewide tests that supposedly determine if a student has learned the right material to continue in school. Passing/failing a grade to pass into the next has been around for a long time, and your two examples would have happened with or without "NCLB". (When did you graduate, by the way? NCLB wasn't signed into law until Jan. of '02). The standardized tests are what is new. I won't go into detail, but this aspect of the law by itself creates a huge cluster fuck. So, while none of this really has any relevance to our discussion I'll sum it up: the quality of teachers ranges from very good to very bad, you are right. "NCLB" can even magnify this problem, I'll go aheadand say you are right on that account also. That is really just common sense, neither here nor there. This aspect should be covered now, I'm sure no one has any interest in reading it anymore.

High School teaches you how to read and write. NOTHING more! One's future is not predicated upon high school test scores. If anyone over the age of 20 thinks otherwise then they definitely need to let go of that past really fast, sit down and re-evaluate because no real employer out there would base their judgment of how smart you are on just some random test scores at high school.
Com to think of it, this conversation is actually useless. If anyone here highlights test scores on their resume, then you actually have a problem.

for me high school was also a breeze...hardly had to do anything to pass with a B average...never got anything below a B the entire 4 years...
What does that mean now? NOTHING. I, like most, screwed around my first 2 years of college and i have been trying to bring up my GPA ever since. So now i have a 2.9 GPA (up from a 2.4) and i need to get over a 3.0 to even be considered for PT school. What sucks is i have so many hours that a B or an A hardly makes a dent in it.
But i did fine in high school right? So what does high school mean in a world of higher education?
Omerta has done a good job of stating the facts in a concise on topic way. His points are organized and well thought out...i suggest you , MKF, take the same thought before you reply.

Yes, Omerta has done an awesome job but I would suggest to MKF to not revisit the topic. It's O's field hence giving him good bases for his argument. Now let's try and close the case. Please

Ok, I hear ya well said however just want to let you know dude I'm referring to ALL school. Notice I never just said "high school exclusively" I was referring to school in general, from 1st grade-college in which you can't honeslty say that it's "a breeze for most kids" HS in some ways I agree with you is indeed a breeze, you show up, make an effort, pass a test or two and pass...then you have the alternative case in which I mentioned before with those "corrupted teachers" playing by their own rules instead of the schools where you can cut class 4 out of 5 times a week but pass a quiz or show up for it every friday, do well and pass the course....
"The no child left behind law" I believe MIGHT have been part of the second case with me that I told you about, the first I feel had nothing to do with it because the teacher as I said just didn't care about the students who might have had a little bit of a hard time or straight out struggled...because I know darn well I busted my ass in that class a lot more then some kids that cut her class the time and yet showed up aced the quizzes and passed(some how) now the ironic part about it is that one of the kids was in 4 of my other classes and one of which that science course I told you about, that teacher showed him no mercy what so ever. In his book, if you cut you fail...and that's the way it should be regardless of any rules...that's one that can't be toyed around with as far as I'm concerned.
BTW, I graduated in 01 however during that time...the schools here were going thru the changes or on the verge...it was depending pretty much "altering" as it were.
I'm happy to hear that we agree on the ultimate point on this school situation, I still disagree on Dr.s comments regardless as I felt he misunderstood what I was saying in reference to another user on here. In which, not "bragging" per-se but posting facts none the less because you're supposed to pass like you said but let's face it now days the educational system overall isn't what it used to be and I'm a huge believer of the saying "No such thing as a bad student, only a bad teacher" (exception are obvious ones however, cut class, act like an idiot or drop out) but as far as doing your job, going to school I believe this 100%.
On that other point, I was merely stating that whenever someone on here or wherever says "you're dumb" or something with no actual respectable debate, that's a big desperate flag saying that they have no valid argument. That's all I'm saying. On the school topic, I completely agree with you on most if not all of what we discussed.
0
Or you forget that most high school kids are now L A Z Y. It's not that they're dumb, or it's impossible for them to get straight A's. It's pure L A Z I N E S S.

MKF, this above post was what I was referring to. You tell red you passed school easily, therefore you couldn't possibly be unintelligent or wrong about something. All I was saying is that this comment is absurd. Im sorry I didnt just spell it out to you right from the beginning. I forgot that you seem to forget all you write.

Nobody passed "easily" ok...what I should have said was I passed with little problems and have received lots of academic achievements so it's not really that "absurd" especially when someone is calling me a "moron" yet has grammar worse then a 18 year old....that was my whole point but I'm sure you won't see that.

Nope, not at all. I can actually spell correctly and back a valid point with more then a sentence or two. You on the other hand make corny jokes that aren't funny, sigs that are false and repeat yourself. I didn't take typing either, I took that in Junior High. You see lol right there you're wrong.
Grammar is NOT typing....
No, I just did my work and got it over with because I wasn't too fond about school except for my friends. Unlike the dopes that cut, I did my job and got out of school the proper way.
Since you can afford a Red Saleen I'm sure you "bought" your way thru school...

I wasn't aware that you, mesofly, pig, Dr, red, groy and atari are 15-20 players...
Yeah, 7-8 players is an outstanding amount of players...
There's two sides to every story, your huge post was beyond false that got closed on that other site about "my friends not knowing me, yet you guys do" LMAO....
Yeah, I'm soo sure my friends that I chat with, play with every day on here don't know me better then you guys....

Sigh!!! For the last fucking time MKF graduating from high-school does not make you intelligent, high-school is set up so EVERYONE could pass!!! Damn what a stubborn idiot. You obviously read what you want to read yet I stated before your inability to hold a sensible discussion which leads to you being unable to participate in a discussion board w/o getting flammed.
PS: I laughed my ass off when those guys over at UMK offered MKF $40 to stop posting there and never return. That was one of the funniest experiences I've ever had on the internet. Those guys over there straight up tell MKF they don't want him on the site, that is some real shit.

Actually Bone, I've beaten Groy in MKD a few times and one of them was on my 3 month temp account...but he'll just make excuses on why he lost....never gave me credit...yet he says I have an ego..we played MKA once and he beat me by 4 games, that's not exactly a masacre. In fact you lead me by more when we played. And another thing, he won't beat me in UMK3 I assure you, in fact most here won't. And let's face it, eazytobeat is the best on xbox easily in MKA...nobody on here has beaten me nearly as bad as he has when he was in his mega prime in MKA. I'm sure though even now he's still awesome. I've just honeslty lost interest in MKA period at this point, I played twice in the past 3 weeks once against you, another against Villian two guys I never played and wanted to. The game plays poorly online and UMK3 I'm just hooked on more right now, Groy knows I don't have a 360 but keeps insisting on "me having instant access" because my friend has one...I told him countless times when I do happen to go on my own xbox, it's late during the week..not my problem if he's not on when I go on. I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself but this is the last time, if he reads it he does, if not ask me if I care.
A few things here....that he should know A. I've hung out with Rich twice in the past 3 weeks, if you read my previous post you'll see why. B.He lives far from me, it's not like he's right next door to me and C. that's IF we hang at his place, we haven't in a while most of the time I go out with my friends toa movie or something, something Groy should try sometime ; ). One more thing Bone, you're entitled to you opinion that's fine but just note despite here who thinks the DS UMK3 is "silly" the game still has way more comp(even you were considering getting it), players right now then MKD and MKA combined on both consoles...kind of sad in a way, but as Dave said the games filled with glitches, easy ones at that...gets a little not to mention the poor online play. That's honestly why I don't play the newer MK's anymore...the online and glitches are rather annoying, not to mention lack of comp overall...
Dan, I see you're just jumping on the "anti MKF30-bandwagon"...disappointed in you for someone lecturing me a week ago among everyone else on here....you should follow your own advice. When you're done repeating yourself and wish to discuss a mature debate, let me know...
Dr, Mesofly, Chaos lol you guys are just pretty much doing pawn work for JTF/pig more or less...I noticed since you lost a few "minions" you seem to replace them coming out of nowhere.....I just find that a little amusing. But I'm not even going to get into it with you guys, not worth it. And yes mesofly, I can tell someone to be quiet if they've done very poorly against me thank you very much, yet riding on a player that actually can beat me is just weak seriously since you can't yourselves...
BTW, Mesofly you never beat me in a series in MKA yes you've beaten me in matches but never a series in ANY MK game.....ohh and I've destroyed you countless times in MKD so I won't even go there, same goes for Dr...and pig in MKD, you guys are just bored so you've got nothing better to do. Dr. since you call things how you see them, perhaps you should open your eyes wider and notice people that go way the hell off topic, get banned countless times...let me guess, that's my fault too right? right.....or I notice you don't post whenever GD makes a valid point concerning your "pals" that get repremanded, why's that Dr? Just curious...
I'll say this one last time, then I'm getting back on topic since it's way off..
Groy you want me, you know what time I go on....otherwise I really don't give a shit what you or your fanbase thinks...you won't get a DS because you know what will happen, so fine don't get one.

More flaming lol, what's new...
Not really...funny, that's why more then half the kids in my classes either dropped out or didn't finish period. Or went of their GED's since they couldn't graduate with a normal diploma. Not even going to get into it again with you.
Yeah, I'm sure it was one of the most funniest for you Groy. That's sad in itself if that's the highlight of your life of late lol...
Yeah, you know I'm not even going to comment about the other site but the mods know you guys went over there to spam.
No, it's more like you guys CAN'T hold an intelligent, mature conversation or debate without flaming me.
So are we done, or you have more useless shit to post?
I want to get back on topic, Trax do you have any new 360 games? Mass Effect or anything?

Man. I think even Special Ed has about a 75% graduation rate. A 50% drop out rate!?! You were in those classes??.....and you are proud of that? These are the standards you compare yourself too??? Real life scrub.
And of course, Loser.
P.S. Get over hereeeeeeeeeeeee!

"No kid left behind" grading system for HS teachers : between 50-60% of your final grade is gained SOLELY from class participation..... compared to 20% test.
65 is passing is a passing grade. You do the math.

Ahh more hypocrisy from the GREAT MKF!!! You are once again projecting your lame qualities on to us. It is you that can't hold an intelligent conversation or debate properly. Learn to address people's points and answer direct questions. A perfect example is the direction of the topic of this thread you've turned it into a dumb argument on how graduating high-school makes you intelligent. If only you would take this advice MKF the flames, the people offering you money to leave the website, the negative sigs with you're name or picture as the basis, etc. would stop. But no you CHOOSE to keep rambling on like the idiot you are its you're choice MKF.

Now, MKF... do you want me to go "research" this and then bring you the more accurate results?
