ac is not lag related cause it works offline, the lag prevents it, and when that happens , u have 33 as a 2nd option.


actually ps2 lags way more. the glitch throw is a prime example, it works based on lag. i can glitch throw everytime on ps2, and on xbox it might work 1 out of 15 tries, depending on who im playing.

i had no problem doin it . besides its not that big of a deal . if your still playing mka at all on xbox then theres nothing to complain about . if lag is that much of a bother then quit playing the game . i play it for fun and because im yet to get a ps3 .

PS2 has more retards in the lobby at on a nightly bases than the whole of the XBL community combined!

PS2 is more or less a console for kids. I say this because I've heard people moan about not having $50/annum to subscribe to XBL hence sticking with PS2.

The subscription paid for XBL gives so much in return. Here are some VALID points:
1. Creating multiple accounts
You can't go on a spree creating multiple accounts because it'd cost you. Only a punk would agree this is actually a great thing. I've heard people use excuses like.."errr, it's my training account!". What the hell is a training account? More like a 'coward' account!

2. Monitoring and regulating the community
XBL is well run and monitored while no one is really responsible for running PS2 online. An example is that is the fact that Gamespy are solely responsible for hosting MKA online and let's face it, their server sucks ass!
Furthermore, when people pull during a match on PS2, their stats are always still intact. So they get to keep their winning streaks and enhance their 'rank' whoring position.

3. Lag
Lag is horrible on PS2. I play PAL PS2 and even though I'm in Europe, half of the time the shit is so bad I end up hating the game.

4. Glitches/Throws
Saleen mentioned something about glitch throws on PS2. Dude, you should get some kudos for that shit! On PS2, glitch throw is fun fest. Too many people's ability to play MKA on PS2 depends solely on their ability to abuse this glitch. I play on XBL and that's never the case.

5. Lobby v Friends list
Lobby on PS2 is a sad excuse to even think PS2 online is better. I would rather have friends list on XBL over gay lobby on PS2. Half of the time I find myself having to watch people talk about how great their KAKs are. So you have a ratio of 1 legitimate player out of every 10 lobby occupants.

Good things about PS2
1. Controller
I've heard some folks talk about this on numerous occasions. I myself prefer PS2 controller, however, I work well with XBOX controllers and even 360 'D' pad.

2. It's free!
Well, this contradicts the point I made earlier than being free means users have to put up with a nasty ass server but nonetheless, the service is free to use and benefits those who can't afford $50 on online gaming experience i.e. Kids with $10 allowance per month.

3. The lobby makes me laugh
You can't help but laugh every time you plug into the lobby. It's full of so many crazy punks. And the winning streaks held by some is like crazy. I've seen over 800 match winning streak. Now, that's gotta make you laugh!

First off, I don't understand the "Fanboy" accusation of Xbox players. I know there are fanboys for everything, but in this case I don't see it for Xbox....

- The Xbox console is far superior to the PS2. Where's the argument for that? There isn't one. The PS2 is even inferior to the GameCube by a good margin and Xbox is better than GC. Just like every other game that's on both Xbox and PS2, MKA looks better and runs faster on Xbox. It's not a "Fanboy" stance. That's just how it is.

- PS2 does lag more than Xbox. I get lag from almost everybody I play regardless, but I can still tell. I don't know how to defend this with fact, but I know it's there. G_Roy, Pig, Trax, RedSaleen, myself, many others have said this many times. PS2' online is free, Xbox's online is better.

- PS2's Lobby is cool. I like the lobby. I wish there was a Moderator on it, but I still like it. I also like the Friend's List on Xbox. F.L. doesn't exist on PS2 because everybody has so many accounts. That doesn't make or break the experience though. That's one thing I wish Xbox had.


The bottom line, to me, is that we have this "Fanboy" thing backwards if anything. PS2 launched WAY before Xbox. That's why PS2 has so many more owners. THAT'S THE ONLY REASON. It has nothing to do with the PS2's capabilities because they are dominated by Xbox. If they were both released at the same time, and everybody knew the Xbox was the far superior console; why would the majority of people get a PS2 at that point? They wouldn't, Sony just won the timing war and everybody bought a PS2 first. Then I guess they develop soft-spots for it and defend it even though it's the weakest console of it's generation.

That's the only area where PS2 exceeds Xbox; Population. That's why there are MORE good players on PS2, not a better ratio. I think Trax was right that PS2 leans more as a kid's console than Xbox. There's evidence of that on the PS2 MKA Lobby. 90% of those players must be 16 or younger. PS2 has more players (that I wish Xbox had), but it has nothing to do with the console itself.

That's why I don't see the "Fanboy" part. It's not Fanboy when you defend the superior of two things. It's Fanboy when you defend the inferior.

Good point chaos. Well put. Now that i have been on ps2 for 2 weeks i think that i prefer the color contrast of box WAY better. I still prefer the controller of xbox too.

This may sound insignificant but doing an upercut after dairu's tombstone drop is MUCH easier on ps2. Why? I have no idea, maybe the lag is worse so i recover faster than on box so it is easier to do.

But i still like xbox more. I feel like i need glasses to play ps2 and that is the main reason why i don't like it as much.

YWP, Foster brute, 007, jadedscorpion etc. Some guys on xbox's side that hardly or don't post here at all when the game was hot...as far as players here that still play, that's very few. I hear what you guys mean about only playing people from MKO but most times that I've logged onto PS2 PAL, there's never more than 3 legitimate, 8new accounts and 2 over 500 winning streak players at any given time. So you pretty have 2 choices; you either wait to play a legit player or just play anyone that comes your way. I usually go for the latter because sometimes you just want to get some games on regardless of who your opponent is. So it'd be nice to play only people from MKO but half of the time, it's impossible on PAL PS2.

However on XBL, you're bound to get a good number of legitimate players at late hours of the night/early hours of the morning and having friend's list helps a great deal too.

Sorry man but listen the lag is not the same. PS2 sometimes locks me up in the lobby and it shows people are there but doesn't show what people are typing in the lobby. When this happens I have to leave the lobby and sit through the login process again which takes about a minute which gets relaly annoying.

Plus the controller feels like it's made for midgets
