I think it is funny how people bitched and moaned not stop about no stage fatals, and now that they are back and the MK team wants to make them "fresh", you know, not just rehashed versions of the other games' fatals, people still find shit to bitch about.

Here's a few options with stage fatalities they could add in: You can set these in the options:

1. "Always on". When an oponent gets toasted in a stage fatality, some elder god resurect you. a cool animation should do that near the other opponent. Fade in, body building, or transport in along with screaming. Voice over "Resurrection. Fight again."

Another posibility of the resurection is an animation of the reverse of whatever fatality occured:
Meat grinder: Body reforms starting from feet up.
Smelting stamp: Rebuilds with fire.
Prison Walls: Unsquished.
and so on...

Make them grusome looking

2. Always off.

3. After 1 win: Cannot do stage Fatality until one Kombatant wins. Both can perform, but if opponent with no wins performs on other, Resurection occures.

4. Final round: After each oponent has won a round.

OMG, you people are complaining about the unrealism of a deathtrap in a game where people get speared, and set on fire, and frozen, and plummet from buildings, and fountain blood from their heads for an entire match and still get up and fight some more.

Did it bother you in MK2 when Reptile pulled of HIS FACE, spat at you, then PUT IT BACK ON ? Did it bother you in MK3 when Jax fired giant missiles or formed blades out of his arms? Did it bother you in MK4 when your character got his leg bent entirely backwards at the knee, then just waved it back into position? How about in MKDA when you impaled someone with a weapon, only to have it magically vanish and re-appear in your hands next round?

Geez, kids. Come on.

Do you even know what you're talking about? It defeats the ENTIRE purpose of a finishing move. Being splattered into cat food should be no grounds EVER for a continuation.

Also, MK4 was terrible.

And I REITERATE...

* What would you guys be saying if you could do a "REGULAR FATALITY" after EVERY round?

I'm sure ALL of you would be changing your tune completely.

maybe the first round ring out you could fall off whatever and they wont play the animation of getting killed itll just say ring out but then if you knock them off the second round they show the animation and it says fatality
with the spinning blades maybe could just smash on them but not get stuck inside the blades untill the second round and etc
but anyway what theyve got is good its better than having no stage fatalities at all like mkda

I prefer it to be a one round knock out. Realistically the deathtraps should mean you lose the match but that would get really cheap against the com and they would use it a lot against you. And it helps from keeping superior fighters getting a cheap victory and those who are not so good button bashing and costing you an instant loss.

I have said this before, all they haft to do is in the options menu have where you can cut them off, leave them as they are , or have them end the entire match.

If the fighting is exactly like MK:DA then I'll keep them on for every round to keep the matches from getting boring. However if they gameplays faster and more fun I'll use it only for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Didn't anyone read what I posted as for setting ring outs or match outs as an option?

It would solve everyone's choice on how to play.

Yeh i Like the option for Death-traps....
Deathtraps On (Ends Round)
Deathtraps On (Ends Match)
Deathtraps Off

I'll obviously be using the 2nd option :)
makes more sense to me:)

by the way "i was really thinking it was real wierd to get your leg broken in mk4 and swing it back into its place" (its pretty dumb)
also in mk5(da) i was actually thinking that instead of the sword magically disappearing, the fighter who has been impaled should pull it out and throw it away, leaving the other player without a weapon :) its a positive thing to impale but thewre should be negative sides to it too :) but it wasnt like that, however i still liked the game :) it was still a kick ass game :)

and please dont tell me mkda was better than sc2... sc2 would piss on mkda anytime with its graphics, physics, player movements, rich moves, deep fighting engine, 100 extra weapons to be unlocked, around 10 stages to be unlocked blah blah...

by the way im not comparing sc2 with mkda, im just saying its better...
its like saying a ferrari is better than a harley... (they are both rides, theyre different than each other, but ones better than the other)
where alot of ppl would say 'naa the ferrari is better' and some would say 'naa the harley would piss on the ferrari'

theyre both fighting games but different types, still sc2 is better than mkda...
but i can say mk1 and mk2 are better than sc2... in 'originality' and funwise :)

Unfortunately, "Ends Match" doesn't seem to translate well into "Ends complaining"...

While I don't like the idea for falling 120 feet to my doom, and coming back for another round, that's what the above option fixes. I'm pretty sure that's what most people will have enabled.

Perhaps it could even be the default option?

well i dont think theres an 'official' announcement about that option... mabe thats why alot of ppl are complaining...

i thought i was the only 1 left by myself here thinking really wierd to have a second round after being blown into pieces :) thank god theres a few of you otut there who agree with me how the match should end with a terrible death, instead of a ressurection...

it would probably be pretty hard to hit some1 into a deathtrap on the first round anyway :)

You know...you guys are all going to be glad when you are getting your a$$es kicked you have no life left, and then you knock your opponent into a death trap and win...then you are going to be saying...."Wow death traps are a good idea!" :)

I think if you do get put through a death trap there shouldnt be a second round.Having a second wround after the death trap weakens it purpose.
If there wasnt a second round it would make a fighter alot more careful.Long Live Johnny Cage.

Agreed. Also if you both ring out ( like the one video with Sindel and Meleena. You both die .. its game over.
Start over.

i think the death traps should be done on a strength/distance basis meanins for instance if the opponents got some distance between him and say the grinder and is kicked into it rather than fly into it he should just land against it and get cut the hell up but if theyre quite close then yeah send his ass thru it end of match

I think it's silly that the game continues after your opponent has been thrown, and impaled, off of a very long cliff, into a sharp rock spike.

It's also rediculous that your opponent can come back to figth after being shreded to a million pieces by a giant meat grinder.

But that's Mortal Kombat folks, rediculousness in a great form.

Like boon said, no one likes to pay for reality, and the number of units of MK:DA that sold is proof. I personally think it's utterly silly that the match continues after you've been stomped by a giant steel press, while singing your body on molten metal.

...but I can't wait to fu****g try it ;)

There always have to be some negative bithes, bitchin' about a really good game that's comin' out. If you read the previews can turn off the Death traps if you want to be a boring pop-corn fart.
