Well, I'd consider Ninja Gaiden something like that. I know there are countless people that have suffered willingly to beat it but it was just way too much for me. I just couldn't take dying every two seconds, getting killed by "normal" enemies like it was nothing.

Dead to Rights - Xbox version!! The hardest f'n game I've ever played. I just cannot beat it.

I believe the developers had to make the game alot easier for PS2 and GC players because the xbox version was too hard. Apparently it's very easy on those 2 platforms...

Yeah, Tomunabu Itagaki (Creator of DOA and Ninja Gaiden) said that 75% can beat Ninja Gaiden on default, 50% can beat it on hard and 15% can beat it on Very hard. So there's no shame in admitting defeat to Ninja Gaiden. But I was good enough to beat Very Hard, and I think that's an accomplishment. At least to me it is.

The last really hard game I played was F-Zero GX.

Viewitful Joe. Since I got it back Oct 2003 I have yet to beat it on Adult mode. That game is too damn hard. F-zero GX as well. That game is extremly hard to race at the speeds in which you do one those kinds of tracks that are in the game >:.l. F-zero GX's story mode is a real pain too!!!!

Play the original streets of rage at the hardest difficulty, the bad guys will take pop shots at you and move like thunder.

Yeah, F-Zero GX was a great game to play. It was really fast paced and you had to know the course perfectly otherwise, if you crashed, you had almost no chance of wining. I also played F-Zero AX at the arcades, and kept switching back and forth between the two and made myself a sick ride.
The hardest sidescrolling shooter I've played would have to bee Darius Gaiden, on the Sega Saturn. That game gave you 3 continues to go through 14 stages out of 25. It was fun though.

i believe no game is unbeatable but that is just me

apart from those games with shitty graphics or shitty camra angles

dead to rights was a REALLY easy game.the only thing about it is the camera.now,ninja gaiden was the first 3d game that took me over three days to beat.ninja gaiden is a work of art when it comes to difficulty.
i have yet to play a game that i have failed to complete and i have played an abyss of games.

I've also managed to do Ninja Gaiden on very hard. On Normal I found it super easy, I could beat every boss without even getting hit, so instead of going to hard, I jumped straight to very hard.

I soon adapted to the amount of enemys there are, it's still not bad though - you just have to be very aware (always block, memorize their attacks) and very awake!

The first two mega man games were not impossible to beat, but I never did.

Oh hell yes that game is hard...thats why my friend and I just rented it. Hit the wall a few times and you're blown up! Another hard game is Ikaruga.

Azurik: Rize of Perathia has depressingly easy combat but some of the puzzles and jumps and such are just plain silly.

The riddles on any Silent Hill game on hard are very much impossible as well.
