I loved the diving. The two Chinese guys diving were so perfect! And the volleyball was so cool. I remember when I used to do volleyball... I sucked at it. XD

Ok, I'm a little confused.....

I thought any rule change had to go through the Olympic Committee? I am of course speaking of this "rule change" imposed by the head judge for the men's team gymnastics.

I have yet to hear what exactly the rule change was, but the American team was forced to change their routines on the high bars.

I have a problem with this for two reasons. 1) In the World championships in 2003, their program was well within the rules. And the World Championships and the Olympics follow the same rules. 2) They have been practicing this particular routine for over a year in preperation for the Olympics, and were told 2 days before they were to compete that it had to be changed.

Why does one judge have the power to do this? One American on the team that they interviewed said, "Well, you have to deal with it. Ya know, if you can't beat us fairly... this happens". I'm going to have to agree here. It's no secret what routines the athelete's will perform, why wait 2 days before the event to make the rule change. This actually reminds me of Cool Runnings, where the committee kept changing rules on the Jamaicans to try and get them out.

Thorpe & Phelps compete inthe 200m freestyle, along with hackett and van de hoogenband or whatever his name is.

Should be the best race in these olympics, for swimming atleast.

I just hate how they are on at 3am grrr!!

I know how you feel. I wanted to see the Chinese and Japanaese compete in the male gymnastics, but I got too sleepy and went to bed. The Romanians put on quite a show, though.

out.

Well, I'm not posative about this, but they had to change their order, since the scoring has chnaged. It used to be a 6-5-4. Five out of six compete all around, only four scores are kept. Now it's 6-3-3. Only three compete, but all count.

This scews up all statagy that had perviously been implemented, or was going to be implemented. It affects other teams, but the US in particular because it stresses specialists.

I think that's what was going down with the rule change. But if someone could clarify or add more in regards to the routine specifically, that would be great. Oh, and that dude who dislocatd his finger. 0_0. I fractured my foot once doing some floor workouts, but damn, this shit almost made me throw up, lol.

Phelps = Too good.

USA basketboall = WTF? This isn't fucking Rucker Park. Learn to play D and lock down those fundamentals. Damn.

They should cry. They are supposed to be "the best in the world." However, the best does not always end. I even qusetion if they could be considered the best. Anyway, that is over, and there is still the rest of the day left.

Phelps and Thorpe are squaring off tonight, as well as, womens gymnastics.

Our team doesn't care about winning. There's no extra paycheck for the practice they have had to do. And if they win gold, they get the wheaties cover, but no bonus on their NBA paycheck. That's the truth of it.
