Well, we got the silver in Female team gymnastics. Not bad at all. We had a few small mistakes, but the romanians had none. I was suprised to not see China up there on the podium. They had 2 big mistakes on the un-even bars though... sucks because they are usally so good at them.

I heard some good shit went down durring the individual mens gymnastics comp. Though, I didn't listen to the spoilers, cause' i wanted to see, lol.

And all I can say is ....WOW!!! I'm glad I was able to dodge all the spoilers for the mens gymnastics, that was intense!!!

I don't even know what to say. I thought for sure that Korea was going 1-2. That was amazing.

China's really doing well so far!

You'd usually see Russia, Austraila, and a couple others ahead of them in the Olympic medal race.

Men's Gymnastics..........INTENSE!! I was glued to my TV. Go Paul Hamm. It was great watching him be told that he was the Olypic Champion. What a great night!!

And mens swimming is excellent. I might be American, but I can't help but cheer for Ian Thorpe. He's just got a great presence and great power to him.

Yah, I'm glad I dodged those gymnastics spoilers, too. Great stuff. Korea had that shit locked down then Paul went all super saiyan or some shit.

I feel bad for Bret, though. He was owning then that ring routine just raped him. Good showing, however.

China basketball got their asses handed to em. 0_0 Yao looked hella pissed, lol. I'm not much of a swim fan, but our girls busted out some ownage, that's for damn sure!!

Now its 34 medals US and 28 medals China

Some news:

My 2 countries Cuba and Colomcia have each won medals now...so Im already satisfied with the Olympics(Cuba 5 medals and Colombia 1 medal)

Carly Patterson won gold in the All Around competion, making it an historic 2-2 sweep by the US in the All Around for the first time ever

Aaron Peirsol got first place in the 200 backstroke, got disqualified, then appealed and got his gold medal

Chill out man, the Olympics are supposed to be about uniting all people of the world. I cheer for China as well as America. They have great gymnast and divers. You can't help but cheer for them. I cheer anybody who does well in the olympics, not just Americans.

And Georgie, I really couldn't care less if you hate me. My heart is breaking as we speak, me just knowing that you hate me because I think China's team is better than America's. Do I want America to lose? I did not say that. Since China's teams are better trained, I believe they deserve to win because of the effort they put forward. See my standpoint? Don't attack it because it's different. That's just stupid. Learn how to shut your mouth.

Courtney Kupets,a gymnast for the US, is from a town in Maryland called Gaithersburg. Whats interesting is that Gaithersburg is 10 minutes from my old house!!!!!

I went crazy when I found out she was from Gaithersburg. I mean an Olympian that lived no more than 20 minutes from my house is pretty cool.

She didnt win any medals but I was happy to know an Olympian came from Maryland

Oh man, that is the ignorance of America talking. I pity you. Not being able to realize that the Olympics is about the WORLD, not just a single nation. I myself am happy with whoever wins, and I have no need to get hysterical about it. I love my country, depsite its flaws, and it's great if they win, but I also love the world, and I would like to believe that the Olympics represent unity, rather than ignorance, which you are displaying. Of course, you wont listen to a word I have said.

South Korean's are protesting Haam's win it seems. The Korean who place 3rd, his score on one of the events was judged 1/10th of a point lower than what it should of been for difficulty. Might not sound like much, but, if he had that 1/10th in his score he would of won the gold instead of the USA. That's not to say he would of gotten that 1/10th anyway.
