I'm gonna go ahead and say it... Bayonetta was not that fun to play.

Yes, the looks and music and all that were awesome... but the actual gameplay was repetitive as fuck, and there was nothing TOO new in it.
some parts were fun, like when you ride the missile... but the actual combat engine was reaaaaaaaally repetitive. Even with the new weapons.

I don't mind it coming out for WiiU, but why make it exclusive? To make sure the WiiU sells better? I'm not going to buy a WiiU no matter what exclusives it has, as I wouldn't buy a PS Vita for the same reason. I do not like handhelds.

Hopefully they will port it to PS3 and other consoles, or else it would just be a waste, in my opinion. I liked Bayonetta and I would gladly buy a sequal should it be released to PS3. If not, then I'm simply not going to buy it.

I'm mad because I may never ever play this damn game. I want a Wii U, believe it or not, but I can't afford it. That is why this game's Wii U exclusivity hurts me.

I would have loved to be able to buy it and sit it under the first on my shelf as I do all my game series'. Now I can't and it's all Sega's fucking fault.

I know who to blame, but it doesn't change anything or make me feel any better. I just want to continue to journey of a game that was incredible and worlds above other titles in it's genre.

Bayonetta vs. Nariko anyone? lol

Nariko = Playstation Exclusive. Idea = dead in the water.

I'd fuck Bayonetta.

Um... what?

And see, that's the part that doesn't make sense in this. Why in the world would a game, that did remarkable on the PS3 and Xbox, suddenly just go and change systems like that? Especially going to a system that doesn't have games like that on it?

If I recall correctly, it didn't sell that well despite critical acclaim. It's Nintendo exclusive likely because Nintendo scooped it up after Sega cancelled it. And the fact that the Wii lacked a lot of games like Bayonetta doesn't mean that they shouldn't start with Wii U. ZombiU is a launch title, as is Mass Effect 3, and games such as Arkham City and Black Ops II are in the launch window.

I mean ,why would anyone spend $200 for a handheld system for a game that isn't technically apart of the main story? Is it really necessary to do stuff like that?

If selling hardware is their goal, yes. Also, this has happened before with higher profile titles. Final Fantasy anyone? People got over that eventually.

I remembered that Bayonetta wasn't that good of a best seller, even though it had great scores. If Nintendo is finally allowing games that you wouldn't see for them to be released on the system, good for them. However, for me, it's too late. As what Kunglaodoesntsuck said, it's too gimmicky, and I find this move to be one of their gimmicky move. You might disagree, however, this is how I'm looking at it, and it's totally not impressing me, even if Bayonetta was a game that hardly did any impressing for me.

Although, I pity those who have to go to distance to buy a handheld system just for one particular game. I did that a long time ago, and I regret it so much, that's why I have a problem with it. All for a stupid Gameboy Advance when it first came out and everyone was hyping over it... So, at least see where I'm coming from. I don't get it with why people would do something like that, I just find it as a waste of money and probably go to waste. And I'm not the only person that did a move like that. I know several others with current handheld systems that barely touches it all because they bought it for one particular game.

The only way this could happen is if Bayonetta was in Playstation All-Stars. And while it is highly unlikely Bayonetta will be in, could you imagine how crazy that fight would be?

The combat engine was supposed to be repetitive. Sure they could have expanded it a bit, but really it is just like any other game that has hack and slash combat. Most games with that sort of combat are pretty repetitive.

I would almost consider getting Wii U for this game... Almost. The gen console I most likely will get is the next Xbox though.

I think you're the first person I've heard say they regret getting a GBA. That thing has a great library, especially with all that backwards compatibility. To each their own, I guess.

[Microsoft's and Sony's] consoles are years off.

Do they really have the option of waiting that long, though? Isn't the word on the streets that developers are fed up with the limitations of 360 hardware?
