This lady is going to have to leave the country and move to a secluded place in the world because out of the many opinions that I have heard on her, three quarters of them have been about killing her. I didn't have the time to sit and watch the entire trial but I have been hearing from others that our justice system is flawed by allowing a public jury be present during the hearings. So I ask; do you think that it is the jury's fault for letting her walk or do you think it was lack of evidence brought up against her?

I think it was the lack of evidence. I don't think they ever determined a cause of death. I think Caylee's body was too decomposed. (Boy, I feel sick saying that. Poor baby!)

No better proof of that than most of the posts in this thread, full of people who presume themselves to be more knowledgeable about the case, or have less prejudice, than those in the courtroom, when in fact the exact opposite is probably true. The only thing worse than a clueless mob is a clueless mob who is unaware of the fact.

So then what's your take on this, since you think everyone in here doesn't really seem to be so intelligent because they're not happy with the verdict of this case?

Despite that there has been plenty of media coverage about this case, and yeah, there's the, "not enough evidence to make her seem guilty," thing, but I certainly do not want to be labeled as a "stupid person" all because my remarks were what I thought. Which, the ONLY reason I find her guilty was because of the lies and the neglect of calling the authorities when the child has been missing for several hours.

Lying clearly covers something, what would we be covering if we had to lie? And NO mother would dare to not call the police for a month when their child is missing.

So please, elaborate on your reasons of this case. Otherwise, don't just claim people here are stupid because their emotions are getting to them. It's called opinions, whether you like what they're saying or not.

I humbly decline to really have an opinion on the matter, because I realize I have no idea what went on leading up to the child's death, nor do I have any idea what went on, or what evidence was presented, or what arguments were made, inside the courtroom. Any opinion I could form on the subject would be speculative and essentially useless, and I think that goes for any opinions that are informed only by what was in the news media. For instance, I don't have a clue as to why Anthony didn't call the police when her daughter went missing, and neither do you. Maybe she's just a goddamn idiot for all anybody knows.

All that said, I never said having an opinion on the subject meant someone was stupid, and in fact I'd encourage people have opinions on the matter that are well-informed and reasoned. On the other hand, presuming to know better than the people directly involved with the case, without having an intimate knowledge of the case yourself, or assuming that the jurors were stupid, or incompetent, or that the only reason they didn't convict Anthony was because she was white & attractive, is inexcusably asinine and prejudiced. My point is, having an opinion on the case, and essentially talking out of your ass, are two different things. If you fall into the former category, then my remark didn't apply to you.

While I'm not ruling out the whole lack of evidence thing, I'm in the camp that thinks she was probably acquitted just because she was white and a hot piece of tail, which is the reason I made the idiot comment. I do realize saying that the whole world is full of stupid people was probably a bit much, but there is quite a bit of that kind of person out there. That one thread about stupid and asinine lawsuits certainly doesn't help matters that much.

I personally think she did it, but the defense did an excellent job refuting all of the prosecutions claims. There just wasn't enough there.

I've seen news stories where people left their child in a car, and the heat from the sun killed the child while the parent shopped. Do those parents get prosecuted? Because it makes me wonder if a parent would be prosecuted if their child drowned in a pool.

She was aquitted because, bottom line, the prosecution failed to prove Caylee was murdered. Although you don't have a cause of death (or even a body) for a murder conviction, they couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that murder was the cause of death. Had the prosecution gone for a lesser charge- neglect resulting in death- she wouldv'e been convicted.

This. But I would have done the same. If you see duct tape on a dead persons mouth you usually assume it was murder. She also lied multiple times to the police. Lying always indicates guilt. So I would have made it a murder trial as well.

The jury decided she was not guilty. The defense didn't convince the jury beyond a reasonable doubt that she did it end of story. That's how are justice system works. The system isn't flawed, if anything this case proves that because they didn't just convict her because the whole country was shouting for her head.

I'm not saying she is innocent but the way some of you guys are judging her like you guys know for a fact what happened is wrong. We weren't in the courtroom we didn't see the case so we can't just say the jury is stupid.
