Nostradamus was full of sh*t. They twist what he said to MAKE it fit what has happened. If you read his quatrains (or whatever they are) you will see that only some predictions are even remotely close to actual events. He gave names that you need to rearrange and add letters too and it all seems like these 'experts/believers' are stretching to prove something that is very far-fetched.

I agree with krsx, Nostradomus didn't predict shit. I dont believe in any of that bs. If Nostradomus was alive today he wouldnt even be able to predict me coming to kick his ass then id be like pwned.

I will tell you ONE thing he said about the 'end'...I'll basically break it down for you, as interperted by experts:

The end of us

Russia and the United States will come together to stop a common enemy. One of these two countries will then turn on the other country, and this will start WW3. This will be the last war.

After the war, the few who are left will start over. A new religion will be founded, and peace will reign all over for many many decades to come.

Some people will blindly believe that he predicted the future. I am a science student and therefore I cannot go by such beliefs. What I do know for a fact is that he wrote very vague predictions which can be associated, by interpretation, to events that have ocurred during history. I do not believe in "predicting the future" or similar things so my opinion is biased - as is everybody else's - but what really would be best was that you somehow managed to get hold of Nostradamus' writings and interpret them yourself. If you want to believe he predicted the future then it's fine by me (everybody's entitled to his/her opinion, as silly as it may seem to me), but it's only a matter of interpretation.

My aunt had a really cool painting of Nostradomus...man that was cool. (I wonder if she sold it) Anyways, he had like red eyes and stuff. I don' about this Thread though, it's kind of boring with the Relige-i-phobic people....

Did Nostradomus Predict the Future? NO the fact is that of All predictions only about 5% came true and with all the ones he did that very likely that they would come true because they way there wrighted they are very board and that why we can appile them to meny thing after they have happen. And Pluse all the one we have said have come true we could not read his word and say this will happen it is only unateal after it was wrigted that we were abbale to apaly the predictions.

My Grandmother said something about his family passing away and that made him depressed.And all he would think about were devasting things that might happen in the world.If these so called experts are telling the truth I say there wrong.Since you say the Y2K and 9/11 are fake predictions I guess some of his predictions never came true.

As for that WW3 I think thats the war in Iraq.Things in Iraq are more under control than it was in 2001.So I say his prediction on this came half true.

id have to say bullshit to ur last statement drfatalty although i agree with most of the stuff you and blade said. things in iraq are getting worse. more bombings and the iraqis are getting more hostile to our people because we are controlling them and telling them what to do.

We can't just sit there and let them boss us around.The News makes it look like the bombings are always happening now.Truth is that stuff was going on waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before Bush came in office.Even way before Clinton was in office.I still say they should just drop some bomb over in Iraq and bomb everything.I don't think they can do that though it would be nice but I think of the innocent people.The innocent people do not deserve the hell that those messed up people over there give them.There are more idiots over there than good.

Ya most of Nostradomus's predictions were eaither stuff that was happening in his own time, or mind less bannter. And the supposed 9/11 quatraine is bullshit because for one it was said to be written at a date when Nostradomus had been dead for like 20 years or sumtin like that.All bullshit if u ask me.

well, it seems like you guys failed to realize something. he predicted hitlers name...almost. he said hisler. so, if he can get that close for a name, why would you think the prediction about the end of the world in 1999 is wrong? what if the date was just a little off? i mean, 5 years is not a long time considering he made the prediction centuries ago. i mean hell, even if the end of the world is in 100 years, he made a damn good prediction.
