Do you believe in aliens?

After reading the UFO thread I thought I'd get your opinions. I do, but I doubt they have ever visited Earth. See IMO the sheer size of the universe suggests that SOMEWHERE there is similar conditions to those on Earth, capable of sustaining life. There are 200 billion stars in our Milky Way galaxy alone! Many could have the circumstances to inhabit life, however small or large, and just think how many galaxies there are! It seems that even the thought that we are alone in the universe is very egotistical and probably foolish. The only negative I have towards believing in aliens is that I heard once on the discovery channel or somthin like that, that the Earth was only able to produce life due to a number of determining factors. These include Earth's distance from our Sun, the size and age of the Sun, the positioning of Jupiter and Saturn - as their gravity has some effect (cant remember exactly) on the Earth, the fact we only have one Moon, our orbit etc. So maybe all these factors came together at the right place, at the right time to make one helluva massive coincidence that produced life.

Yes, i do believe in aliens. This universe is infinite, there could even be billions of other creatures that we dont even know about in different galaxies and such. IMO aliens has been with us since day 1. I dont think we're the only ones.glasses

What the hell are you talking about? There have been sightings of UFOs since Roman times, just look at some paintings; Alot have strange discs in the sky or on the ground.

And to answer the question, I do believe in Aliens. But I'm not a 'hardcore' believer. As many have said, just look at the immense size of the universe. There are billions if billions of stars, not to mention all of the planets revolving around them. How can we be the only living creatures in something this big, this huge?

And as said above, there are literally drawings so old, they depict cave men and 'UFO's' in the sky.

I believe in aliens. A lot of them work as cooks at my Pizza Hut.
I think there is some form of life aside from what's on Earth.

Just because of the size of the universe, and the fact that it is possible here leads me to think that it's also possible elsewhere.

I'm pretty confident that there are some other forms of life, whether it be bacteria, or something like a dog.



Nobody can say for sure, because nobody knows, no matter where it's been written, or who says it.

Do I believe in little green men flying around in little space ships shaped like saucers? No. Nor do I believe in aliens who come into people's rooms at night and steal them away and do all kinds of nasty things to them aboard their space ship. That's just sleep paralysis (which I do experience from time to time).

I believe there might be some other sort of life outthere due to how the universe is infinite, but until i actually see one on the news that has been officially reported, then i will believe but until now i dont.

Yes, but im not a harcore believer. If there's that much room up there, then there has to be more life than just us. Imagine if there was a world were everyhting was just a mirror image of our world. My scar would be on the right side of my face!! grin (heh, j/k)

Yes i do believe in aliens.There are alot of creatures in the unvirse that we dont even know.
Aliens are real people have actually seen they spaceship.Were not the only living things.

no, i believe God only made us. And even still why would aliens have the ability to fly all the way over here, im sure if there are aliens they are struggling to take to the skies just as we are.

I don't think they would have a problem taking to the skies, it depends on when and how their planet evolved, when dinosaurs walked on our planet theirs may have been as we are today,therefore they would be thousands of years ahead of us technology wise,so they could make it to us. There is a theory that the Pyramids were designed and built by E.T's and no i havn't been watching to many episodes of Stargate, the series was based on this theory as it's very hard to build one half the size with the technology that we have today never mind thousands of years ago. I do believe that there is intelegent life out there somewhere, i do beleive we have been visted many times,it's just a matter of time before they show themselves to us compleatly.

I certainly believe that there are other life-existences out there other than that on Earth.

Just because we haven't found anything doesn't mean a thing. We haven't even explored a micro percentage of our own galaxy let alone the entire universe.

Also, someone said earlier in this thread that life existing on Earth was coincidence because of a number of factors. This is the scientists thinking that other lifeforms cannot exist under other conditions?

Mercury for example. It is so close to the sun that not a single bacteria here on earth would survive it, but that doesn't mean there are bacteria on Mercury that couldn't withstand that heat and all the gases. Same goes for every other planet.

Other lifeforms may not need oxygen. In fact maybe they strive on the heat and those other gases. Maybe if they come to earth where we have oxygen they would die!!

Like Mars Attacks! They die because of the oxygen!

So in finishing - yes i do believe in aliens. Whether i believe they have made it to earth is another story and whole new topic!
