So I found out that my favorite Japanese singer (Ayumi Hamasaki) is completely deaf in her left ear.
Wow. She still sounds good!

That Superman picture is hilarious.
Anyway, I'm annoyed. I auditioned for I can't even recall how many director projects at my school, and was sent a rejection letter from one of them and not called back for a good couple of them... But that's not what is bugging me.
What steams me is that now four directors, one of which sent me the rejection letter, two of which never called me back for a second audition, and the last one I auditioned for on Monday, are in desperate need of male actors, and sent me an e-mail. Why did they reject all the guys that did show up only to ask them again to come back? Seriously, what was the point? It makes me feel that if I am accepted into any of these (which I doubt at this point), it'd be only because they were desperate for an actor, not because I stood out. It's annoying as fuck.
And the fourth one I auditioned for on Monday bugs me too because it just shows that even though I auditioned for her show, I wasn't good enough for any of the male roles. Why bother reaching out to those you didn't want in the first place?

Haven't these people heard "beggers can't be choosers"?
I'm sorry you feel that way, Jerrod. I see how it can be a bruise to your actor's ego. But hey, if you are accepted, at least it puts money in your pocket at the end of the day, right?

Criss Oliva Memorial Video
This video is sooooooooooo sad, especially when it shows Criss' coffin, and his family/friends huddled around it.
Fuck you drunk drivers, taking innocent lives like his, and nearly killing another(Criss's wife Dawn was in the car crash that killed Criss, but she didn't die.) But Dawn was damaged beyond repair, physically and emotionally. She, very sadly as well, died recently.
RIP Criss Oliva

I think that it's worth reaching out to those who didn't want you in the first place because one of those times may end up being your big break. Also, I am sorry that you weren't what they were looking for. They are desperate for male actors, but I guess they weren't that desperate enough to cast you. I'm sorry. I hope you know I'm saying this with love.

Actually, none of these gigs are paid, as they're all student projects. I've yet to be involved in any paid acting gigs, unfortunately. As long as I'm a student, I don't have the time to devote to bigger things, like plays in actual theatres, or films being shot in Montreal by big-named companies with well-known actors. All these roles do is beef up my acting CV and gain me more clips to add to my portfolio.

I think what you wrote came out wrong, but I get what you're trying to say with that. I just think it's annoying that they even did that in the first place. Why not just accept the people who did try out? I looked at the sign-up sheets they had posted for these particular shows, and they only had 2 signatures in all because all the males interested in auditioning for the plays already did. Why ask us again when you rejected us in the first place?
Also, somehow, people tend to like whatever it is I do on a stage or in a class presentation that involves some kind of drama, but when it's time for a serious role in a play, I'm always overlooked. I have no clue what kind of role people always see me for, but it never seems to be the one they're looking for.
Hopefully when I get an agent next year I'll actually be cast in something, otherwise I'll just continuing studying and get a Masters degree.

"If you don't like it, don't read it."
"I can say whatever I want."
I notice this huge double-standard when there's a backlash against a person saying something.
When someone has a negative opinion or disagrees with a topic/post, there are certain individuals who respond with "Well why did you respond?" or "Don't read it then."
But then it appears that there's a high percentage of these same people, who tout these quotes and spew them at every opportunity, that actively read things that they know are going to piss them off and whine, bitch, and flame. Obviously not heeding the ethics they try to enforce upon others.
Nothing but hypocrites who want to silence those who disagree with their views.
It felt good to get that out. I've been struggling how to exactly describe the problem and the flawed logic of their argument, but upon re-reading this entry, I feel I articulated the issue reasonably well.

He pointlessly meddled in affairs that were not ours by trying to reform a country. And he caused one of America's worst economic crises
