I saw this graphic, disturbing video my cousin showed me of some people jumping off into the water. But some guy managed to smack his head and split it open because he obviously missed this lower platform.
So they take him to the hospital and the doctors have no idea how to fix his head... Yeah, they zoom in on it too.... All black and bones..... yeah, lovely... He's dead by the way.
Just that, there were other people watching this when it happened and they were laughing, but also scared because well... they're son/friend (never really describe who he was to these people) was just floating in the water with blood spilling out of his head...
Yeah, so take this into consideration people... If you think you're about to do something stupid to impress people, please don't.
I would show you the video, but it's too disturbing to show and I don't feel like being held responsible for others' vomiting and such.

Argh, Icebaby yesterday some guy showed me a few disturbing videos. This one child just literally cut some guys head off somewhere in the Middle East. Some dude apparently tried to commit suicide with a shot gun and survived and had no face. There was a third, but forget it.

Apart from all the pain associated with it, one of the greatest simple pleasures in life is to involuntarily find long black hairs of the woman you love, on your bed.

Disgusting... Especially about the child thing.

...On an uplifting, and far less disgusting note...
I don't know if this counts as advertising or not (and forgive me and let me know if it does), but...
I logged into Twitter today and checked the trending topics. The biggest topic all day was #beatcancer. So I followed the link and saw this on the search page:
eBay/Paypal and MillerCoors are donating a cent per hashtag (via tweet, Facebook update, or blog post). The campaign is aiming for a Guinness World Record “for the distribution of the largest mass message through social media” in one day.
They forget to mention exactly where they're donating, but it looks to be the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education. Just thought I'd put it out there.
(I don't think this counts as posting a personal website for hits, right?
)

If retailing actually did donate a small percentage of every sale to "cancer awareness" or cancer would have been cured by now. I never give into the hype, it's all a marketing tool. Nobody ever knows where the donations ever really go to.

I have to disagree with you on that one, Alpha. Cancer is an extremely complex disease. As our society technologically advances, treatments become more refined. But in order to continue the research for better methods, funds must be acquired.

The problem with most of these campaigns is that they focus on raising awareness more than finding a cure. The worst part is that there is virtually no funding going into determining the definite causes of breast cancer. Also, like Alpha said, it really is a marketing tool for these sponsors to get their products out and have them purchased by women.
A small percentage does go to some organization, but anyone who is serious about finding a cure for the disease is much better off making a personal donation to a cancer research foundation instead of buying pink M&Ms and wearing a pink ribbon on their chest.

See, I thought that was the case too! And I do enjoy my short hair because it's so easy to work with, but at times I look back at my long hair and go, "I miss that doo."

I did a report on this for my communications class, and its amazing how much money is spent on these campaigns that when money is raised they usually break even hence the "non profit". Its not necessarliy the company's fault (ie. M&M's, Best Buy, or whichever company) because it puts their name out there but most of the time they are misinformed by the actual company who promotes the ribbon and the pinkness. It raises awareness that breast cancer exists, but thats about it. Like Jerrod said its best to donate you're money straight to the source and not buy a bunch of pink products. These funds don't go anywhere near new or more advanced equipment to cure cancer.

About Me
The future seemed so bright.
But this thing turned out so evil,
I don’t know why I’m still surprised.
Even angels have their wicked schemes,
And you take that to new extremes.
But you’ll always be my hero,
Even though you lost your mind...

To be fair, there was a disclaimer before the link. I feel people around here are smart enough to use their own discretion before choosing to open the link or not.
Since we're on the topic of blood and such, it's probably just my imagination, but I can feel the blood coming out of my veins on my left arm when the last time I had doctors taking blood out of me...
It was disgusting, seriously... It feels like it's bubbling out of my arm like it was back a few weeks ago... DISGUSTING!

So that's fine--some poor guy getting his face opened up like that? No, it's just not appropriate in any sense and trying to refer to the Community Faq for some loophole to justify posting it doesn't automatically deem it free to be shown. C'mon, as long as we've all been here, there's no way in heaven, hell or Sesame Street that something like that has or will ever be allowed on the boards just cause it may not be 'in the fine print' as it were.
