Tonight I was watching Friends with a close friend of mine, and the storm knocked out the satellite and he asks me "have you ever kissed a guy?" That caught me off guard. I was like "No. What an awkward question. Have you?" He said no. I said "why did you ask me if I had kissed a guy?" And he said "I don't know, I'm bored." And then the television came back on. So the subject was dropped.

So after a few commercial breaks, I brought up the topic again because I felt like there was somewhere he wanted to go with this. He told me his lesbian friend told him that he should experiment with a guy, and he said he'd be cool with making out with me or something and that he thinks I'm a nice guy and he's not really interested in other guys, but he feels cool with me.

Last night we were watching The Boys and Girls Guide to getting down, and there's a chapter about fauxmosexuals. Straight guys who act gay to hook up with girls. He was saying that he should tell people he's gay to hook up with girls.

I mean. The kid's clearly got some sexual identity figuring out to do. And I'm going to be here for him. But I just feel weird. Like I don't feel like I can really tell my girlfriend this story. I don't feel like I can tell my best friends. I don't want to betray his trust. It's just odd. So instead I'll tell the anonymous people of the internet.
