Italy just beat Germany 2-0 in the 2nd UEFA Euro semifinal, good match. They'll play Spain in the final. Spain will have a chance to be the first team in history to win the 3 big titles (European/World Championships) in a row. Funny thing is, these two teams both came from group C, where Croatia was. Spain had 7 pts, Italy 5, Croatia 4 and Republic of Ireland 0. Tough luck for my country, they played really well.

Meanwhile in Wimbledon, my favorite tennis player, Rafael Nadal, suffered a heartbreaking 2nd round loss to Czech sensation Lukas Rosol. I gotta give massive props to Rosol, he took on Nadal and delivered some breathtaking winners. I don't think I've ever seen anyone hit the ball so hard, he was firing torpedoes down the court and served insanely well. Nadal was simply helpless, he tried but the opponent was simply too good today.

I also gotta give massive props to Rafa. After the final point Lukas threw his racket in celebration and after the two players shook hands at the net, Rosol continued to celebrate while Nadal got Rosol's racket for him. How many players would do something like that after they just lost a match where they were the favorite to win? Not many, IF ANY! That's one of the main reasons I admire and cheer for Rafa. Vamos Rafa!
