I actually like this idea the best. Wouldn't take terribly long to do it this way, in my estimation.

Well, there are 649 Pokémon, I suppose you could subdivide it into 25 sets of 25 Pokémon (and one more of 24) to narrow it down, and the survivors of those 26 would be pitted in a final round to decide the truly immune.

As a thought, maybe devote it to only fully evolved/popular picks? This way there isn't a gigantic list of every single Pokemon out there when only a half of them are worth using/get attention.

I can't help feeling like someone's favorite will get slighted somehow if we do it this way, but that's just my view.

And Ash never caught them all, some trainer he was.
Got awakened by a fire alarm, awesome!

You should divide them by their first Type. For example first do all Grass, then all Water, and so on.. However since there are 5 Generations. Do 50 each round. 10 from each Generation. Then you boot and immune 1 from each generation to make the game go faster.
For Example like this:
Gen 1
Bulbasaur
Ivysaur
Venusaur
Oddish
Gloom
Vileplume
Bellsprout
Weepinbell
Victreebell
Exeggcute
Immune: Ivysaur
Boot: Bellsprout
Gen 2
Chikorita
Bayleef
Meganium
Bellossom
Hoppip
Skiploom
Jumpluff
Sunkern
Sunflora
Immune: Bayleef
Boot: Hoppip
Does that work? I think it should.. Btw, Generation 2 doesn't even have 10 1st type grass pokemon.

Mecha Tyrannitar is immune from your puny Earth contest
It's been over two months (I think) since I played MK2011. Finally got my controller fixed yesterday and played for hours. Had a couple of tough matches against a beastly Skarlet player. I never studied Skarlet, so I got bodied pretty bad at first, then it got a bit better. Bish was combo'ing me from one side of the screen to the other lol.
Had another session today with a very good Jade-only player. I beat him with Kitana, Sektor, Mileena, Raiden, Ermac, Sheeva and Cage, lost with Quan Chi, Sub-Zero, Cyrax, Liu Kang, Sindel (twice), Kano, Shang Tsung, Jade, Sonya, Scorpion, Kabal, Nightwolf and Stryker.
:O

Such is the downfall of splitting it by type, though. Makes it easier for certain pokes (like Gengar or Dragonair/Dragonite, who might make it to the final round anyway) to get through, whereas types like the aforementioned Grass, Fire, and especially Water are cluttered with contenders. It's a nice idea with concern for time, but it isn't the most fair, in my opinion.

I got a game store called game world in my town. Selling imports from japan, manga, movies, games from nintendo, super nintendo, the shit you didn't even know about, a goddamn power glove.
Saw 3 pokemon yellow versions, a couple red and blue versions.
Fuckin love the place. And the workers are all pretty damn friendly. Got this big ass room in the back for tournament nights and parties and you can pay a couple bucks to try out any game for an hour to see if you want it or not.
