SSX is well worth the purchase. There's a large amount of stuff to do, even though it doesn't appear that way.

The combat in Metroid Prime is absolutely awful. The controls do not work.

That game was so goddamn annoying.

The backtracking required was so ungodly that I gave up and sold the game a little after I got the grapple gun.

The exploration part is great, and it feels very much like a 3D Super Metroid, so far at least. The lock on and aiming mechanics just really don't work for boss fights that require you to be mobile.

I remember getting that game 2 or so years ago for $6.

I remember a few years back this CGI video involving 3 guys breaking into a facility trying to blow it up and/or rescue I think an AI girl. They were an old guy with a handgun, big guy with minigun, and a chick with a sword. The facility had guys with helmets and guns and some old 'doctor' running the place.The two guys died quickly, while the lady was able to find an empty tunnel. The mooks were really robots cuz' the AI girl was able to control one of them from shooting the woman. The doc punished the AI (forgot how). The woman was able to get to a computer and was able to download the AI into her then they started to escape. Then the old guy comes at them in some robot-suit. The AI girl loads herself into the suit to control it and pulls the old guy out. The place starts exploding and the AI can't escape with the woman because the suit is wired to the facility.

Anyone know this video?

Metroid Prime is actually one of my favorite games. I've never played the last two, but I was quite impressed with the first.

Metroid Prime is awesome. I loved that game. I never got to beat Echoes, but I did beat Corruption when I had my Wii. That too was an awesome game. All the Primes were awesome.

I'm liking it a lot so far aside from the controls. I really struggle with first person games on consoles especially when there's no sensitivity options, and Metroid Prime takes the wonkiness to new levels. Taking 3 seconds to turn around is crud, and not being able to move around while looking up or down makes things a lot more difficult than they need to be. I'm still very early in the game so I'm not sure what the C-stick is used for, but if it's not actually used for anything that's a pretty poor design decision.

Also the music is awesome.
