Literally the Super Nintendo is the best ever
or maybe the Wii. YEAH I SAID IT! Think about it: it can play all of the classics on the NES, SNES and N64, its backwards compatible and it literally has Super Mario Galaxy 2 on it.

Sorry bro, it's the N64.
Sorry bro, it's the N64.
Anyone who tells themselves that any Nintendo-brand console, aside from the original NES, is the best console of any period of time is clearly a "fanboy" of Nintendo-brand consoles or, to put it plainly, blind and/or stupid.
The N64 didn't have the lineup to compete with the Playstation, and I only know of a single game that'd even be worth acquiring in ROM form, that being "Mario Kart 64". Not only that, but the console's graphics were beyond dismal. Why in Hell would you release a game on a cartridge in the CD age? Since the SNES era (bloodless MK, for example), Nintendo has catered exclusively to a particular class of gamer--children or adults with the brain capacity and/or entertainment level of a child.
The Nintendo Gamecube was a mild improvement over its predecessor. However, the PS2 absolutely obliterates the Gamecube in terms of the lineup that each console provided. The only reason that I ever bothered to purchase a Gamecube was for the exclusive Resident Evil titles, all of which made the console even remotely worthy or purchase in not only my opinion but the opinions of a good number of other hardcore gamers as well.
My favorite consoles of all-time, given that I don't consider just one being a clear-cut frontrunner, are the SEGA Genesis, the Sony Playstation, and the Sony Playstation 2. Though, the old-school Nintendo Entertainment System could also be considered one of my favorites if only for the sake of the feeling of nostalgia that it provides.
Clearly, this is all a matter of opinion. From my end of the spectrum, I cannot see how anyone could be convinced that anything since (and including) the N64 has been worthy of any significant amount of praise, let alone to a degree that one would consider each subsequent Nintendo-brand console better than its competitors' consoles of that generation. Oh well; I suppose that this is the reason that the following idiom was coined: "Opinions are like assholes; everyone's got one, and some are just plain shitty."

VenoMark, using the term "hardcore gamers" in a serious tone makes your entire argument invalid.

got bleach the hell verse. today it was fantastic. my fav of the 4 films. the animation was very fluid. the fights were epic. even showed a new form of icigo. it was just epic. can't discribe how awsome the film is.
in my opinon the best console of all time is the ps2. it's just got the best selection of games, dvd player,cd player. + it's the best selling console of all time. no systom will even touch it.
i'm still buying games for it. it's just that good. and i have a good collection of games for it.

It was used for the lack of a better term, mostly. I define a "hardcore gamer" as a gamer who is willing to give each console the time of day that it deserves before forming an opinion. It's a legitimate term in the world of gaming, regardless of whether or not you take it seriously.

Yep, I've never played any other console before in my life. Just the Nintendo Gamecube. Nothing else. The PS2, Sega Genesis and Xbox 360 that's sitting in my room don't exist. Nintendrone all day everyday.

The best console of all-time is without question the Sega Genesis. The remainder of my top five would be PS1, PS2, 360, and N64, in that order. Honorable mention going to the Dreamcast as well. The graphical power of that platform wasn't great, sure, but the lineup is better than you give it credit for, VenoMark. Mario Kart is the king of that system, and there was also Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie, and of course, Super Smash Bros.

It might be better if that were true. At least there'd still be hope.

I didn't like the Sega Genesis. The controller was so clunky, and every game that was ported to that system had worse graphics and controls.
Why do people always say that Mortal Kombat was bloodless on the Super Nintendo? I owned MK2 and it was full of blood and gore.
My favourite system is probably the DS. It's like an improved Super Nintendo.

Who implied that you've never played anything other than the Gamecube? After I read your proclamation that the Gamecube of all consoles is "the best of all-time," I only had an inkling that you were delusional. Now there's more evidence to indicate that you're mentally unstable. *laughs* I bet that "iCarly" stole coincidental happenings from your life as well, you fruitcake.

Admittedly, I'm probably not giving the N64 enough credit. Though, I did scan a list of ROMs a week or so ago and found myself at a loss. Truth be told, the only game that caught my eye was "Mario Kart 64". I remember playing "Goldeneye" a few times but, as I recall, it was more frustrating than fun, and since N64 emulators (to my knowledge) don't have the option of multiplayer I really can't be bothered to download it. Everything else that seemed worthy of a download was released for the Playstation, and I've already acquired them.
Seeing as how I respect your opinion, I'll give Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie a look-see. I'll probably give in, if only for the sake of adding games to my N64 ROM library, and check out Super Smash Bros. as well.

To each his own. There are folks who prefer the SEGA Genesis and there are folks who prefer the Super Nintendo, and there are the more open-minded folks who don't have a preference, like myself, and enjoy both consoles.
To my knowledge, the first MK installment on SNES didn't have the blood effects that the SEGA Genesis's version had. Once Nintendo realized that their sales for the game didn't even come close to SEGA's, they decided that they'd better man-up and allow blood in subsequent MK installments.

I've never had that kind of "hipster" attitude. I like the new consoles, I like the new games! Sure, my favourite fighting game of all time is Killer Instinct Gold (though I hope to see a new KI in the near future), but I prefer the new Mortal Kombat over any of the new ones. I find Super Street Fighter 4 to be better than any of the past ones, except for maybe Street Fighter Alpha 3 (but that's because Cammy had her Killer Bee Combo super in it). The PS3 is the best console I've owned, and I've had the NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2 and a Dreamcast. They were all awesome consoles of their respective time, but I don't think they can compare to the new technology, graphics, gameplay and stories that the new consoles and games bring us.
Thinking back on how it was back in the day with the old games do hit my nostalgia right in the heart, but I prefer to put the past behind me and look forward to new games, new consoles and new stories to be told.

That explains the empty "Dragon Points" slot... Why was it removed?

As for me, I'm staying out of this console conversation.
