An online Pokemon simulator. Basically you battle other people around the world just like we do on MKA or MKD etc. You create your own team of Pokemon and battle whoever.

It downloads fine and then when I try to open it it tells me that not all of the files downloaded and that I need to download it again. So I do, and while it is downloading it tells me that there are already netbattle files on my computer so it can't finish the download. From there the only option I have is to cancel.

Hmm, that is the right place. I can't remember how I got around it. Either way, my file works so I'm happy! Try fully removing every NB file. You'll have to do a search for it and erase the folders as well as remove it via Add and Remove Programs. Then reinstall.

Ty ty I think I'm on netbattle now. It seemed to work. I had to select a username, and name my server etc. But now I'm just looking at the NetBattle Master Server screen and nothing is happening. I don't think anyone else is online.

You had to name your server? You should only have to click on Start Battling and a list of servers appears. The one you select is Smogon University. I'm on it right now.
If you select Start Battling and no servers appear, you'll need to use an alternate command.

I'm a re-re. I was totally doing something wrong. Now I'm at the part where I pick my Pokemon team and everything. I'll be on in a couple of minutes. lolz

What's a re-re lol? Team Building is the hardest part. You can't just a bunch of favourites and expect to kick ass. You will lose. If you win, the person you faced is a no0b.
Some Pokemon are banned, some can't compete in the standard metagame due to being too weak and you need to know lots about how certain pokemon are ruled, what to counter, how to use EV's, natures and items effectively. So yeah, it's damn difficult lol. Good luck!

Ugh dammit. Why do things have to be like so competitive? I'm in the middle of picking like my perfect water team and now you tell me this. This upsets me Ty. It upsets me. Can I change my team whenever I want or do I have to earn things to be able to change my team later on?

Lol! I know how you feel. How do you think I felt when I was told I couldn't use my fave Pokemon, Lugia, because it's a super legend and it's banned. No one would play me if I used it. Naturally I was pissed.
The all water team you're working on will be fine as a theme team, but if you're not careful, you can find yourself being walled by the likes of Blissey or maybe Lapras, Regice or Vaporeon. In theory, it could work, but it won't last. Some people do make theme teams, but most lose badly. Some guy faced me with an all grass team recently and my Houndoom had a field day with it.
Btw, if you do go all water, don't use Kyogre. It's a banned legendary.

I'm not really the type to use like super powerful Pokémon or even normal ones with only moves like Hyper Beam, Psychic, Hydro Pump and Thunder. I don't think it's very realistic. But I'm guessing that I'm going to be facing a lot of people who play that way. Do I get to change my team once I finish making it? Or am I stuck with it?
