I was able to ignore all of the mythological differences for two reasons.

1. This wasn't even the story of Hercules, but a kid friendly story with the same protagonist. The Greek myth version was more more dark, and had a different plot in general.

2. Most Disney movies are based off of ancient/old stories, but never follow how they really went. If I recall, the original stories of Sleeping Beauty and Snow White were wayyyyyyyyy too fucked up to be made into kid's films.

Hercules was kind of bad imho. Only redeeming quality of that movie was Phil.

Just finished watching Seeking A Friend for the End of the World with my mom and little brother.

The last 60 seconds of that film was one of the hardest things for me to watch.

As a Greek mythology freak that I am, I too ignored all the inaccuaracies they showed. Since I was more into the princesses, I spent most of my time arguing how Meg should be somewhat featured in the princesses line up since they have Mulan, who totally isn't a princess.

Hercules... my only flaw is that the gospel music didn't flow properly with the movie, and I have a book on the history of Disney explaining why Hercules did NOT do them wonders when it came out.

That and Trans-Siberian Orchestra was bloody fantastic again.
