Based on personal experience (and stuff I've read & heard), if you dreamt it there's little chance of it actually happening. The reason why you had a dream about something (as you said) that you've been fearing for several months is that since you've been worrying & thinking about it so much, your (sub)conscious expressed your fear in that way. In my opinion, I don't think you have anything to worry about, but either way, if you have any control over whether or not it happens, do your best to make sure it doesn't.
