Nah, if you have never been on broadband when you do get it you will be amazed.
The local cable internet company only comes to within 5 minutes drive of where I live. They didn't go any further.
A new company introduced wireless high speed here though so I jumped on that.
The 'modem' is actually outdoors attached to an antenna and the cabling comes in and is connected to a power block and thats all there is to it. Not as fast as a wired cable connection but for someone who has been used to 2-5kbs/second downloads for 7 years, being able to hit 200kb download speeds in the past day I've had broadband is nice!



lol, What's worse Ty is I *did* have broadband about 7 years ago but when I'd moved it put me in a remote area where I could only get dialup!

Can't seem to get my 360 running yet, but hope to, online. But my PS2 logs into MKA fine and I'm sure other online games for it would as well, and if I opt for Xlink Kai for my old xbox I can play some system link games online on it as it works too.
Elsewise at least I can do some pc online gaming.

I could be getting broadband by the end of the year, it's a rumour, their updating all the phonelines are something, I don't know. Broadband is in my area but I live on a mountain oh so perfectly placed it blocks out the transmitter thingy. Grr. So I'm like the only one in the valley who actually cannot get it yet. I mean, seriously, that's just ten shades of suck. Oh well...

But dial-up isn't without it's charm...makes a cute little annoying noise when you connect...downloads at about 2 kb/s...MKO and dA take about ten hours to navigate....where was I going with this...?
