Okay, this is a long-ass post, and this has been going on for about a month and a half now with only one new development, and I wonder why I never posted it in here.

Okay, a month and a half ago, I was talking on the phone with a certain MKO member who shall remain anonymous, when all of a sudden, I heard three gunshots go off. My dad went outside, and found that someone apparently attempted a drive-by. Turns out, the person who did the shooting fired at the home of a retired Sheriff's deputy. The car belonging to the daughter of said retired deputy was what was hit; there were three bullet holes in the back window of that car. At first, I thought, ahh, just some drug dealer who found out a cop lived there... well, within the passing weeks, as I was driving to and from work, home, and school, I find this suspicious grafitti in many spots in my neighborhood, and going out of my neighborhood (and not even within a half-mile radius of my neighborhood). Same "tags", too. Which makes me suspicious that a street gang is setting up turf in and around my neighborhood. That makes me think the shooting that happened in my neighborhood was related to this gang. Apparently, the tags all include the word "SMOG", which makes me think that's the name of this gang. It may be an acronym for something. That makes me consider buying a gun to protect myself, my dad, my stepmom, my car, and my house, because it's not fair that my dad and stepmom pay their mortgage and property taxes every month, and a street gang that doesn't pay jack shit for their "turf" would try and shoot me, my dad, and my stepmom just for living on their turf. The way I see it, my dad and stepmom pay their mortgage and property taxes, and thus, they own our house legit, and I'm not trying to be all tough and gangster and whatnot, but I have a legal right to use lethal force if our house or lives are in jeopardy. Of course, I suck at shooting a gun (I BARELY got a Marksman badge in rifle shooting when I was in JROTC in High School; that goes to show you how much I suck at shooting a gun), so if I were to buy a gun, I'd need to get target practice at a shooting range.

Now here's the latest development in all of this; Right when I left the house for work on Friday morning, I saw on the garage doors of one of my neighbors' houses that someone had tagged the words "NARC MOVE" in huge letters with bright orange spray paint. I guess this is telling me the person who lives there is either a concerned citizen who called the police to report gang activity he/she saw, or a member of that gang lived there and basically squealed on his/her fellow gang members or leaders. Of course, I was in a hurry to get to work, so I didn't have time to call the cops. But as soon as my dad saw that, he called the cops immediately. Said grafitti has been painted over.

Sorta makes you wonder why I was never interested in all that gang-banger bullshit to begin with.

I've been working on making this stupid PS2 read the disc, but it won't. I've been on this since 9h34 and now it's 10h56.... My patience has worn thin. If it still doesn't work in the next 15 minutes I am going to kill someone.

Well, finished eating some lunch, now I have to take a shower and continue reading Chekhov's "Cherry Orchard" for summer school; turns out that I have to read a play every two days (eight plays in all), and that my mid-term's next Thursday. I didn't realise how short a month was. I also have to go to work in two and a half hours.
Being home alone is kind of annoying.
