If you don't get the job this time, this should be a good indication to prioritize your life and what matters more to you. If you do get it, I still would do some personal reflection on the subject.

It's not like drug use is inherently a bad thing, but the fact that it is interfering with your ability to potentially get a job is bad, even if you only did it once over a 4 month period. Not to mention, if you really want this job, it has to be causing very great stress to you.

Jesus, guy.

I'm not a pot head and I always have my priorities in check. Even when it was a normal part of my life, it wasn't often and I'd refrain from doing so on any night before work. Also, I was never the person in possession of the weed, so I've never jeapordized my money with it. I feel like you're being judgemental, brody.

Whoever asked, the results are in 24-48 hrs. But I may not know until the business week begins.

You either do pot or don't. There is a reason why there is no middle ground.

Try redraining from EVERYthing for about 4 years, then you may at best speak about letting loose a little bit.

I like the taste of wine. Too bad I cannot drink. Ever. By choice.

This is why I normally don't say anything on these subjects.

I'm not judging you, you're taking offense and missing the point that I was making nor did I give any indication that you were a pot head as it really doesn't matter to me or objectively speaking, fact of the matter is, if it shows up in your system, it makes no difference if you smoked once, three times, or fifty you still won't get the job. And whether you're a pot head or not, you're still jeopardizing your chances at a job which is a need as opposed to something extra, lack of prioritizing is evident. Is this true or false? I'm not saying this to be a judgemental high horse riding prick, I'm being realistic and honest.

I have consistently supported the legalization of marijuana, prostitution and several other things to remove the criminal element of things that aren't directly harmful to society, you can think I'm being judgemental but I'm not many of my brightest and most hardworking friends have smoked weed before, I don't think any less of them, but this situation is completely different.

This isn't about me anyway, I'm sorry that I didn't offer ways to beat the test, maybe I should have not said anything....you can either take offense to what I said or look at it objectively to see my point because I don't care what drugs people do or don't do in their lives, I really don't as long as they don't kill, abuse, or seriously injure someone else.

As you should know by now, I don't make it a goal to tear people down or be nasty to them, if I said something in this thread, it was because I believe it to be of some help.

Yeah, anyways...

This just goes to show you that next time, be careful of how much you drink. I'm sure that you're probably not going to touch another drink for a good long time.

Why prostitution?

Whatever though. Just have to wait for the verdict and no I won't be drinking again for some time. D'oh!

Since you asked, I'll answer this. Prostitution is just paid sex, people have sex all the time, sleep around all the time, but when people add money to the equation, it's just evil and wrong to some, it's not in my view.

I also want to remove the violence and control these pimps have over these men and women, having them dependent on them, strung out on drugs, and abusing them when they don't bring in the profit they want, that is an evil thing. It has worked wonders in other countries like the Netherlands, all parties involved are safe, the prostitute works for a company, if he/she's dissatisfied,he/she can leave peacefully and work elsehwhere.

It protects the prostitute from violent clients because they're in a place of business with tons of other people. Condom usage and checking for STD's is the standard, preventing transmission and instead of men and women feeling forced into it, they choose it, like a supplemental income or just for fun instead of it being their only choice.

The government regulating and taxing it would remove so much criminality and victimization from society and cut down on drug abuse and crimes committed against prostitutes.

People provide physical services all the time, massages, manicures, hair shampooing, etc. I don't see the difference, especially considering people have sex all the time and nobody bats an eye.

If I can support the legaization and taxation of drugs, I see no difference between that and prostitution, everyone loves sex, not only for its physical feel good qualities, but also because of its psychological impact (stress relief and increase of self esteem and in some feelings of deep intmacy and safety are all possibilites.)

For the sake of this thread, any further political questions you may have, I am available via PM.

Since this is your thread and if you don't mind I'll continue, I suppose.

I think the United States is just more...puritanical, like quite a few(many) nations of the world, we've spent so much time viewing sex as dirty, corrupt and sinful that we're scared of it, sex shouldn't be something to be ashamed of, the human body is beautiful, female and male, it's more socially acceptable to be violent than to kiss someone in public, sex is pushed down, violence is propped up, it's a strange social situation, it intrigues and disappoints me, it feeds into us being statistically one of the most violent nations on Earth.

We just need some time and more serious discussions about all of these issues, public discussions.

Our generation is so open on sex and drugs and so accepting of them that I can see in the next 40 years a complete change in the climate of these issues. And now after ranting my crazy Libertarian ideas, I bid thee good night and I promise I will not derail this thread further.

It's a little late, but some workout/protein supplement places sell a drink (can't remember the brand) that was made to flush out all of the nasty shit you ingest when you eat. Toxins, chemicals, the works. It's supposed to make you feel reinvigorated as well. The funny thing is, those toxins include what is left behind by cannabis. It will mask all of it for 24 hours. The even funnier thing is that I live in Colorado, where weed is decriminalized, so it sells like mad. My buddies have used it as a mask twice, and passed their urine tests both times. I wish I could be more helpful in the present, but I'll let you know what it's called the next time I talk to them.

Eh. Fuck it, the issue is in God's/science's hands now. Derail away.

I know what you mean and it may enrage someone, but I feel like it's Christianity's fault.

In America, Christianity is a default religion. God bless America is on the fucking money, the pledge of allegiance was standard morning routine in elementary school and beyond and the Bible, religious tome it may be, is also a book filled with violence and disdain for anything even remotely perverse. This is in fact the American attitude. I too am guilty of shying away from the sexy talk and other such ridiculous things, because hey it's how I was conditioned.

That said, I've never had any identity crisis and am a proud liberal and neutral in the realm of religion.

To expand on that, if nobody had sex, then humans would become extinct. The whole premise of life is based around sex.

But, I'm getting off the topic of the thread. I hope you do alright with your drug test, but try not to drink as much.

Doing drugs a la Mortal Kombat: Deception is worse than almost anything. Seriously speaking, doing drugs is one of the stupidest decisions you can possibly make (unless you're a Hollywood star who has reached everything). And cannabis is just as bad.

You indirectly wanted sympathy because you don't accept the truth in a whole. Every reply in this thread is contribution. Don't become offended: this is a topic centering on your concerns. Cannabis leads to synthetic drugs that are equal to cannabises dazing effects in many cases (if cannabis availability varies), that are a lot more poisonous and you can think where that leads in your mind.

That's just jacked. How can you assume pot would lead someone to trying other drugs?

I apologize for taking offense for after reading without rage blinders on, I see there's nothing to be mad about. Even Jaded-Raven's post, regardless of the uppity-ness of it and (erik) is just (erik).

So are the results in yet? Did you pass?

Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of weed. I've seen it do damage to many who are close to me. Still, firing someone over having THC in their system is fucking stupid. Perhaps the act itself is wrong, but "being wrong" is not adequate grounds for taking away someone's job. It would be like firing someone for downloading music or cheating on their spouse.

And anyway, it's not nearly as immoral as violating individual privacy without just cause. What's in your blood is your business.
