I was suddenly overwhelmed to watch some old disney movies and decided to make this thread.

Some of mine.

Fox and the hound

Who knew a fox and a hound becoming friends. A good story and cute too but what Disney movie isn't? Ah and....When you're the best of friends!

The lion king

Do I really have to explain?

Goofy movie

Goofy gets to shine. And he does a great job. Actually saw him before I saw Mickey mouse.

That's all I got for now. Post yours! EDIT: The movies up to 1999

Define old.

If it's still in the 90's, my favorite Disney movie has to be Mulan.

I thought you meant "Golden Age" Disney films, like Snow White, Pinocchio, and Fantasia.

I'll say my favorite "Golden Age" Disney film is Sleeping Beauty.
My favorite "Silver Age" Disney film is The Black Cauldron.
My favorite "Renaissance" Disney film is Beauty and the Beast.
My favorite post-Renaissance Disney film is The Princess and the Frog.

Aristocats is my absolute favorite.
Cinderella, The Rescuers Down Under, and Aladdin are also some of my favorites (though RDU and Aladdin are both from the early nineties).

Aladdin is clearly the best for me, and do this day one of its lines remains my motto: You're only in trouble if you get caught.

I'm Wishing / One Song from Snow White or I Won't Say I'm in Love from Hercules. I don't think there's a song from any Disney film that I don't love.

OMG...without a single doubt:

The Little (absolutely glorious) Mermaid!!!!

Absolutely the best Disney Movie and the one that made sure Disney is still with us today. Disney was at its worst and this was the movie that would either save the Empire or end it. This film did so much more!

Ariel with her beautiful voice, red hair, fins, and her world under the sea started the Renaissance that brought us the very memorable and unstoppable Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Hercules, etc.

Yes, I've discovered that I am a huge Disney fan because these classic films are true masterpieces and works of art. It's a real shame that most of the new stuff that is out today cannot live up to these wonderful classics.

Tangled, Enchanted, Nemo, etc are all great exceptions, of course, but, Disney really hasn't topped itself with any of its new movies. None of them can live up to the great classics that will remain immortal forever.

The soundtrack of The Little Mermaid remains one of the top best musical creations Disney has ever produced. A true work of magic and (probably) the films most notable victory:

Alice in Wonderland, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Aladdin. Honestly, it's really hard to choose though, they're all so awesome.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Then, Hunchback, Lion King, Aladdin,...

I also, on a smaller note, love Dumbo for just one scene, "Pink Elephants On Parade". I FUCKING adored, and still adore, watching those sick minded little bastards dancing, morphing, and singing that mesmerizing tune ! A work of genius, if you ask me!
