PSM is my favourite, it has all the stories first with detailed info like the official mags, and has honest opinions just like good unofficial mags. Well the British version does anyway and they'll explain parts of the magazine in their reviews commentary in the magazine. I never buy a game without consulting PSM first, thanks to them I was introduced to the underated gem that is Chaos Legion.

Chaos Legion is near perfection. EGM is my fave mag. Seanbaby is my God!

i like egm and game informer for multi game previews and reviews. for playstation 2 only coverage i like PSM. I want to find a good xbox magazine (specifically one with lots of halo 2 coverage)

For SEVERAL years, I was a subscriber to both GamePlayers (when it switched to multiconsole, then to Ultra GP, then to GameBuyer) and GamePro, but one of my buds was a subscriber to EGM. After years of not having a console or a mag to subscribe to, I decided to have both again, and without hesistation, I chose EGM.

BTW, 99% of the people here who say "EGM sux!!!" only say it 'cause they've (rightfully) given the last couple of MK games crappy or so-so reviews. God forbid they say something negative about the series.

P.S. I JUST got the August 2004 issue today, and if I'm able to, I'll write a thread about it. MK fans be forewarned, though: They say MK:D is "So-so" (not "Fantastic" or "Good", but at least it isn't "Bad").

Maybe you can explain something for me. I saw the June issue of GamePro on the stands the other day, and I saw that it was issue #190. Umm, unless I'm mistaken, EGM (latest issue is #181) began before the rest of the mags, so how come GamePro is closer to #200??

Back in the day, my favorite mag by far was EGM2.

But now I have lost alot of appeal to video game magazines, I'll usually check out Gamepro, EGM, and GameInformer.

BTW MKS, the reason why Gamepro has more is because they count all their side issues too(e.x. 2003 buyers guide, Fighters Edge 2004 etc)

Really? Did they openly admit that or did somebody else figure it out?

BTW, I liked EGM2 when it first made its debut, when it truly was a second EGM (I remember the very first issue had some info on MK3). Later on it became a mag dedicated almost exclusively to strategy guides and tips (then changing it's name to Expert Gamer).

I have and always will prefer egm over all gaming mags since it offers a more broad spectrum of coverage than any other magazine I have ever read since I began playing videogames.

Back in the day it was gamesmaster, around the time ths show was on, man they dont make game shows like that anymore. now i read edge, mainly because i have an xbox and cube so i dont want to shell out a tenner a month on mags and they arent biased to any system, unlike gamesmaster who are or where i havent read it for so long im not sure if they still are.

Oh Yeah, I forgot to add that I love OPM cuz they got DEMOS!!!!!!!

Playboy gives pretty good reviews in their mag

Seriously tho, OPSM or EGM are the ones I read the most and have scripts to.

No, actually I figured it, because EGM did indeed start before any other mags, and gamepro counted all their side issues.

Yeah EGM2 kicked ass, ExpertGamer was ok, but then when they changed again it began to suck. BTW does anyone know what it is now, or is it even still existant.

My favorite use to be Game Informer. Its proabally still is, I just haven't been reading that many videogame mags in a while.

The only time I read Video game mags is to see more updates on San Andreses and MKD.
