Amazing coverage this years guys! I'm very impressed with it. When MKA was first revealed, I had my doubts about it, but now after seeing and reading about it from E3 on here, im as psyched as ever for it!

MK4 Crossbow took no skill and was hardly effective. Goes to show for taste in weapons, I guess.

dan, you can also jumpkick while jumping back. this is a huge part of the game. do a search feature in the mkd forum, i made a thread about it well over a year ago of its importance. NO MORE RUSHING, you stay airborne and be completly safe, if someone tries to rush you, jump back and kick till they learn they cant do that anymore ; )

trust me, this will be huge part of the game, including in the corner as you mentioned, youd rather jump back than jump over because you will get sidestepped that way.

I think a huge point also in this game will be the Deathtraps. So far it' appears every stage (sans Goro's lair atm, although the environment interactions do deal damage) has deathtraps, most of them with 2 or 3, or at least 2 or 3 points where you can enter the same deathtrap. This means in this mk you'll have to be extremely aware of where you are at all times. This was important to a certain extent in MKD in some stages but this time around it will be very very important in almost every background, also having the Jump restored I think it makes it much easier to navigate towards the traps.

I am so exited about mka, I even drew a consept scetch of my created mka character. (btw nice sigs guys)

I have to say you're either selling this game very well or the game will actually be good (I had my doubts, I have to admit)... I'm getting a little hyped up for it, I hope the Konquest impressions are cooming soon because that mode looks really promising at this point. some of the styles seem out of whack for the characters, but as mentioned it was just an E3 build.

And neither did the other weapons. People make the Crossbow sound like it was a dominant weapon. It wasn't. Besides, if it were in it wouldn't be as it was on MK4/Gold. Regardless, Fujins Wind blade being another sword is boring. There's a plethora of other choices they could have used. If it meant the Crossbow for the sake of being unique, then I'd be fine with it. They could make up a brand new weapon for him. Something unique!

I second hoping Scorpion gets Hapkido. This is probably my favorite open hand style of both Deception and Deadly Alliance and the style just fits Scorpion perfectly. Him not having Hapkido would be like Bo Rai Cho not having Drunken Fist. It would just leave a bad taste in your mouth.

I agree with everything:

* Fujins alt looks horrible, boring, simple and rather silly.
* There are toooooo many swords in this game.

* Him having the Wind blade. I LOVE that weapon, and if its back, it must be Sonyas. It was fantastic in Mk4, a double set of those would suit her nicely in mka, if not back, just give her the powerful kali sticks she introduced wich are just as cool.

the crossbow was a shitty weapon, but I do get what you meant about uniqueness. but then again, with 60+ characters, you're bound to see a lot of swords

seems most people dislike Fujin's alt, but it's one of the best costumes seen thus far imo. goes to show for my taste, i guess

His sword looks pretty ok in MK:A.

Lets put it this way, despite how good or bad Fujin is in MK:A, I have a hard time believing that his new weapon can be possibly worse then his MK4 one.

As for his new alternate look, well it's okish.

But one thing we are all forgetting is that this game is far from complete and we all know things can change and will change.So, who knows, perhaps that will change one way or the other.

I hate Fujin's hair. Its too static and wierd. He should justh ave his normal high, long ponytail he had in MK4. I would love hair like that!

Thank you, I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed that Sektor has 2 blades in the load screens. That would be so much cooler than another damn long sword!!! It could have the same moves as the Kali sticks Sonya and Kobra had.
