Me too and I sometimes like stupid humor, but to me it's not only stupid but not funny.

I hear ya. I've never liked them either.

I used to HATE them, with a passion. I thought they were the most boring crap ever. Now I LOVE THEM. I think Beavis and Butthead do America is one of the best cartoon movies ever, its amazingly hilarious. THe thing is that Travis and Burt Head (those who get that, i love you) is an acquired taste, no doubt about it. But once you get it and get used to it, you really realize that its not stupid at all, there are so many brilliantly original characters, amazing writing, and nuances to the cartoon... you really cant put it down.

Also... TOTALLY agree that we need a good X-men cartoon... hell... we need a good Marvel Cartoon. DC has had amazing shows... Batman TAS, Justice League, Teen Titans, Batman: The Brave and the Bold (AMAZEBALLS), and now Young Justice. Amongst themselves they have very different styles and feels... but they all share amazing action sequences and they are all great.
I think marvel hasnt had a decent cartoon since the 90s. Iron Man, X-men TAS, and SOMETIMES fantastic four lol. those were good. But Avengers:EMH is crap. The animation and action sequences are lazy at best... and the "special effects" are sad. Same with Wolverine and the X-men. Telepathy, Hexes, Magnetism, Kinetic Energy, Fire... they were ALL the same effect just different colors.... what GARBAGE!!!!!

Back to fox shows: Family Guy is now nonsense, and not in the good way, because its just boring nonsense. That Ryan Reinolds episode... wtf was the point of that!?
I still like American Dad, because its always kinda been stable... same amount of funny. The last episode was weak but that happens. The Hot Tub episode was one of the funniest things I have seen in Fox cartoons in years.

The Simpsons have been diarrhea for YEARS... almost a decade now.

Recently, yeah. The episodes got pretty crappy around the start of S15 but it looks like Matt and Trey are getting their shit back together.

I would much rather watch Beavis & Butthead than that stupid overrated show about pink midget horses. I'm a man, not a girl in 3rd grade.

Well, could you at least give it a shot? Like 5 or 3 episodes, at least?

I do not think a guy watching MLP:FiM and liking it, makes him unmanly. I think of it this way: For a guy to like a show like MLP:FiM, a show about ponies, does not make him unmanly, rather, it makes him more manly. Because I do not believe a manly person cares about what others think of him for doing something others do not like.

MLP:FiM is a TV show with its target demographic being little girls of course, but what confuses most people is that it is a GOOD show, it is certainly not the best, but not bad either. The fact that the show has "My Little Pony" in its title further adds to the confusion. Just give it a try, maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't, please approach it with an open-mind.

I like a variety of things, I enjoy violent bloodbath games like MK and God of War, I enjoy horror games. And only a couple o' months ago, I like ponies, though I'm not very open about it, so that kind of renders me not very manly.

Judging a TV-show before having watched it is the way of the ignorant.
As it is hopeless to try and convince him otherwise. He's already made up his mind.

Before I watched MLP I thought it looked like an overrated girly piece of poop. Now I pull all-nighters every Friday for the new episodes, memorized every song by heart, read at least 3 or 4 fanfics a day, seen every episode at least twice, and hell, I even bought a few of the toys...

what have i become

Nah that's called being dedicated, being an extremely big fan. I am a really big fan in a different way, I can't stop thinking about those ponies, they're so cute and adorable, I can't make it through a day without thinking about them for more than 4 hours (not 4 hours straight, more like 4 hours thoughout the day). And to think I play MK, God of War, and horror games, all very different things from FiM.

NO! They'll never take me!! I'll have you know, I only have a small mental obsession with the ponies, my mental obsession doesn't affect society in a negative way, and I can still perform daily functions normally, so there is no need to take me. But yeah, ponies are cool, but only to the open-minded.

An open mind is like a fortress with it's gates unbarred and unmanned.

But yes, at least you should take a look first. Ponies... well, it hasn't got anything that would make me cry tears due to sheer comedy, it's not funny to me. Not necessarily bad, it has nothing for me. Charlie on the other hand...

However it is nowhere on par with the absolute worst of cartoons -> South Park. I utterly despise that show, it's minimalistic, and not in the animation department, but how condescending and insubversive it is.

South Park is on the same level as Family Guy (btw, Family Guy, the show is not solely made OR WRITTEN by McFarlane, the whole crew fucked it up continuously big time).

I don't. Just because I made an analogy to something remotely war-connected does not mean I am a hate/war/strifemonger.

Open mindedness has it's downsides. Everything does.

I don't necessarily disagree with your last statement, but that's a rather pessimistic view of life. Instead of saying "everything has a downside" then maybe try and look at it from a more positive point of view and say "everything has an upside". That's my onlook on life anyways, trying to find the positive in every situation.

But no matter what perspective you view this topic at, there's not really a downside... As said, it's just a TV-show. Either you like it or not, or maybe you're just neutral to it. All we ask is that people don't judge pre-maturely.

Yes, it's a show about ponies. But there's more to it than just that, and you can't really make a valid opinion about the show until you've actually seen it. Anything else would just be ignorancy.

I don't even know what Allen Gregory is.

I don't even know what Bob's Burgers is.

I think the Simpson's have declined in quality. I can't believe it's going to stop after 25 seasons. I also can't believe that all of the voice actors had to take a pay cut. But Fox is planning on making a Simpson's channel where they play the Simpson's 24/7.

I don't watch Family Guy a lot, but when I do it's great. Maybe because I don't watch it all of the time it doesn't seem so stale to me.

I have never enjoyed American Dad and I have never seen the Cleveland Show.

I remember there was a Mike Judge show about a conservative family or something? I wish I saw an episode of that.

I stopped watching Futurama when they had little clones running around. And I remember the show would never even get to play because Fox would always have some game going into overtime over the episode.

I think South Park is a very intelligent show, but I don't always enjoy it.

I used to hate Beavis and Butthead as a kid, but now that I'm older the new series seems like quality.

And yeah of course you guys are going to like old Nickelodeon and old Toonami and old Adult Swim and older episodes of the shows you like because as you grow up you all become jaded and hate everything in the world.
