I've just finished playing for the better part of the afternoon, and definitively a great campaign so far. I'm currently at part where you return the rotar to the submarine ([robably about halfway through the game). I got a few rounds of versus in as well, and I'm quit impressed with how much MP has improved over the previous two games. I actually might give it more of change than I originally thought.

I just started playing campaign, it's seriously really good. The graphics are amazing and takes a few moments to adjust to. But graphics are not what make a game, right fellow gamers?

The gameplay is improved from 1 & 2. I LOVE the retro lancer!

P.S. Cole Train is a muthafuckin badass.

Jokes aside, hopefully my Gears gets shipped in a couple days from now. Until then, RE4 will keep me occupied.

To those who play multiplayer, I was told there's dedicated servers now, preventing God-like hosts...is this true?

Yeah I haven't noticed any lag at all while playing online so far, and my 360 is is set up over a wireless network. The only downside to MP is that if you go into the other lobbys besides the beginners (I've only played in the Versus->Team deathmatch lobby so far) , there never seems to be a full room, and at least half of the teams are filled with bots.

I've been playing Beast mode since last night, and it's pretty dam fun. I Finished the campaign yesterday. My only complains about campaign, and these are very minor is 1st I'm not a fan of Carmine's voice. I know they used the same voice actor that portrayed his brothers in previous games, but his voice doesn't fit him at all. He's badass, but sounds stupid. 2ndly I was a little disappointed in the end of the game. Not that Epic didn't do a great job tying the story off and wrapping it all up, and it was all very fitting, but I was expecting some big over the top battle/set-piece kind of like Gears 2 with riding the Brumak, and there wasn't. I actually think the final Boss fight in the first Gears of War was better than this one. But like I said there just minor complaints. The campaign is very well rounded overall, and MP is a blast to play, ans well as Beast Mode.

Any tips for Beast mode? I find that hella difficult. Do you need a lot of people?

Finished Horde mode like a boss! Level 30 was me left by myself against a Lambent beserker and about 8 other lucusts. Kicked their ass with my 3 dead teammates cheering on. Best Gears moment so far for me.

This game by far has had one of the best campaigns ever.....

Also I'm like in the top 1800 for Beast Mode, I LOVE that game mode.

You don't need a lot of people. I've beaten it on normal solo, and made it up to wave 5 on insane solo as well. The trick is to use locusts that have good defense so they can last a while and get multiple kills. By tier I would suggest:
Tier 1 - butcher
Tier 2 - mauler
Tier 3 - crawler
Tier 4 - beserker or armored kantus

I'm very decent at team deathmatch. I think my KD ratio is at about 3.2 at the moment. Just those damn beasts...

One thing that I learned is that the Wretch is your friend during beast mode.

Wretches are slower than the tickers, but faster than the savage drone and the butcher. They can also jump over fences, and if you playing with people you know and your feel like your being dominated by the stranded and heroes just let out a shriek and your buddies can rush in while the enemy is stunned.

Tier 2 I usually go for the Kantus or the Blood-mounts.
Tier 3 Boomers all day every day.
Tier 4 Berserker or Savage Boomer.
