Ooooh snap, I'll find it somewhere online. I was hoping there would be more cameos from the last airbender but almost everyone's dead, I love How their children are involved though grin
I tried to catch it, but it was on when I was either busy or watching other stuff.

At first, I was a lil turned off by the advance in technology, the gangster hotrod, and the Manhattan clone, but it worked out fine.

It was intrguing once it got going. I really want to catch up on what I missed.

That's actually why I like it. It shows progression in the world, I always felt like TLA was kind of primitive. Only ones who had any technology was the Fire Nation. Whereas now they have radio broadcasts, moving pictures, cars, etc. It's really cool to see how the world is changing.

I love both Avatar and Korra but the recent season premiere kinda annoyed me because it seems like Korra is forever stuck in her ways. The first thing she does is snap at Tenzin that she beat Amon. Yeah, and got her bending taken away in the process requiring Aang to pick her ass back up. You think that would have taught her at least a little humility.

Not to mention, she's completely being a bitch to Mako. He's try to be supportive but she isn't having it. I guess it's payback for Mako being a jerk to her in S1.

I still don't like Mako though. He's cool but I can't like him. What he did to Asami was cruel.

Cool. Glad to see new people getting into it.

And holy shit to Beginnings. I loved Wan's story and the art style was incredible. I love that they Avatar was an accident, and was never meant to exist. It adds such responsibility to the Avatar. And Rava being fused with the Avatars is just insanely cool. Definitely the best episodes this far in the series.

I loved A:tLA. Like, a lot. So maybe my expectations were too high, but so far I'm a little disappointed.
LoK started out kinda intriguing, I like the 1920's-esque setting and stuff...but the way season 1 ended pissed me off a lot, it was just reaaaally anticlimactic and deus ex machina-y. Also, I'm finding the way the martial arts and bending is animated is awfully boring and too much like boxing compared to the flowy, intricate styles in A:tLA that were more fun to watch.
I've liked season 2 a little bit better so far though...Beginnings in particular was awesome.

I somewhat agree with Tony that Korra's personality is annoying (frankly, I'm not sure I like anyone in the cast except Asami and some side characters like Tenzin...but Mako is growing on me since he's proving to be a competent detective)...but I'm actually glad she didn't seem to learn anything at the start of the season because that would have made Aang popping up to solve all of her problems and hand her the Avatar State out of nowhere even worse. I'm glad she still has character flaws like being a dumb stubborn brute who hasn't really gained any wisdom or insight because it means we might still get to see her actually learn and grow over time rather than all at once for no reason...though I suppose it's also possible that the events of Beginnings will rush her character development.
I kinda just wish that even though she can airbend now, they'd at least show her sucking at it since she never paid attention during her training and bothered to learn the forms or mindset properly, she just punches it at people like she would fire. Like, Aang couldn't Earthbend until he started thinking like an Earthbender.

I'm definitely a fan of both The Last Airbender (series, of course) and Legend of Korra, but I do prefer TLA much more. I think it would have made sense for Korra to be a bit more level-headed by the start of the second season. I can understand that she is meant to be radically different than Aang, but there has to be some point where she gets that proper character development. Also, It would have also been interesting if she just had the airbending ability and had to learn to master it instead of just getting all of the powers back in the season 1 finale.

I really liked Amon as a villain in the first season, but I'm not entirely sure about Unalaq even though it can be seen where the direction of his story could go. About the pro-bending, I think the idea is to go for that MMA influence with Muay Thai and Western Boxing influences as a reflection of our modern day culture. This is in contrast with the days of TLA reflecting the traditional (Chinese) martial arts. It does make sense though I too am more fond of the way bending was done in the previous series.

I didn't like the love triangle story in the first season. It didn't have the same kind of impact like the love story between Aang and Katara. Mako is growing on me, but I was thrown off at the way Lin Beifong was portrayed in the last episode she was in.

Given the latest two episodes, I do hope that we see the second season go in a better direction.

Well of course...but I don't think the end of season 1 was that point. Nothing happened that would cause her to grow as a person. She didn't really suffer any great loss when Amon took her powers because she suddenly gained a new one to beat him with out of nowhere, and when she did have time to think about not having the rest of her elements, she just...sat and cried until the answer was handed to her from on high without earning it. If anything, that would make a person more cocky and sure of theirself, not more tempered. She's a spoiled child, everything is always just given to her out of nowhere. Spoiling her further ain't gonna teach her to behave, it just teaches her "I'm the Avatar, I can do no wrong, whatever I want, I get!" That's why she deals with every conflict by just throwing tantrums or brute forcing it.

Her "using the Avatar State as a booster rocket" in the first episode of season 2 is exactly how she'd act at that point. She's been handed a new toy, she has no respect for it or understanding of the right way to use it, she's gonna misuse it like she does everything else until something happens that ACTUALLY teaches her a lesson.

My problem is not with Korra, but with Bolin. Now I know that in S1 Bolin was a comic relief character, but at least he was relevant to the plot. Now he's been reduced to joke status.

First he gets in some weird Dominant/Submissive relationship with Eska, now he's doing fucking movies. I mean the movies are something but he has nothing to do with the plot whatsoever. He's just kinda there.

Then the one time Mako actually does offer him a chance to do something Bolin basically says "Fuck you Mako". Bolin is the kind of guy that would jump at the chance to be a part of the action, so why is he suddenly being a giant douche?

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Hopefully when he finds out Varrick is behind the bombings he'll snap out of his current funk.
She's a brash tomboy. She was always naturally gifted in bending, but her spirit wasn't nurtured with meditation & training.

Yes, she can Airbend now.
"I HAVE mastered Airbending!"
*3 punches, Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, damaging nature*
"No, you've mastered Korra style Airbending."

She hasn't trained with the fundamentals, and defensive aspects the style is focused on.

Those spinning shoji screens are to exercise evasion, countering, and footing.
A Master Airbender could dance through them no problem.

New episode last night. Here's my thoughts.

- Asami is just throwing herself at Mako. When did she become such a booty call?

- Asami and Bolin refusing to be plot relevant is annoying.

- Eska's not a total bitch. I'm actually happy for that.

- I love that Jinora is becoming more important.

- Poor Tenzin
Marathon on the weekend got me caught up a bit.

My initial impressions of a couple characters proved true.

This is getting way more intriguing.

The Season Finale will be airing early tonight. In addition to an hour long Korra tonight, Nick is airing the Finale on it's website at Midnight.

That was a hell of a four-parter.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
I really hope that more is explained/explored in regards to Jinora, because she sort of acted as a deus ex machina by saving Korra from Unalaq/Vaatu. Part of me thought that Unalaq would die in a way that would start a chain of dark avatars, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

The cameo by Zhao was interesting. Verrick is definitely one of my favorite characters, but his motivation for wanting a war started are still a bit unclear to me. Is it that he wants some kind of profiteering from war or was there supposed to be another angle? It will be interesting to see what he does in the future seasons.

I'm glad that the relationship between Mako and Korra is definitely over. The love triangle with Mako, Korra, and Asami is pretty damn messy. If they're trying to get Mako and Asami back together, it could have perhaps been saved at the end or even for season 3.

Mako has definitely gotten better as a character, but Lin Beifong got a bit flanderized in some of the episodes. I hope they do a bit more with her character and not have her be foolish like she was in some of season 2. I really don't know why she doesn't just get rid of those two idiots.

I'm glad Bolin kind of got to his senses and took down the guys that were working for Verrick. I know he's supposed to be more of that "comic relief" character, but it would be nice for him to get some good character development in the next season like what Sokka had. Speaking of Bolin, it almost seemed like he and Eska were really going to get together, but so much for that. I do have to wonder if we're going to be seeing more of Eska and Desna in the future.

The very ending with spirits and humans interacting is interesting, and I wonder where the story will go from there. It would be nice to see the other nations and maybe touch on characters from The Last Airbender.

Those are all my thoughts for right now....that and spirit bunnies, FTW! XD
