Ah yes, the Best Racing game in the industry. They need to improve the voting system. It really gets annoying when people vote for the same track over and over again, specifically Luigi circuit in Mario happens Wii online. It happens ALL the time.

Yes! The voting system sucks.
I hated when people kept picking the same freaking track. One time... I'm not kidding.. I played Coconut Mall 6 times in a row!! That was ridiculous!

Using mupen64plus to play MK64 mirror tracks because real men play mirror tracks, and I noticed my linux console said this:
"Video: Congratulations, you have 8 auxiliary buffers, we'll use them wisely !"
Damn right.

Oh the koopalings are a great addition. I think they should add Nintendo characters like they are doing with smash, link, samus, etc, they would be a great addition to the game. Mario kart 8 now has over 30 characters to choose from! Take my money may 30th XD.
Am I the only one who loved Double Dash? The two-person karts added a new dynamic to the whole game, but even with that aside, every character had their own special item. Mario/Luigi had red/green fireballs, the babies had the chain chomp, DK and Diddy had giant banana peels. I loved this, and sincerely think it should make a comeback. Was it too unbalanced? I never played Mario Kart: Double Dash competitively.

Yes. HI I'M DAISY!
Koopalings being in is great given how Nintendo's neglected them all these years. #teambowserjr can suck it.
But if they use the "death cry" sound effect from the GBA version of Mario World when their karts hit lava I'm gonna punch someone. That still wasn't right.

Jeez it's easy to forget the differences in controls in the various games. Especially in power sliding. Also how ridiculous the items get with each one. Playing Super Circuit and got re-aquainted with how Boos slow the lead car down. Acutally lost a race from that crap.
Makes me not want to play the DS game again because of the number of blue shells I would take from back-of-the-pack AI karts that are already programmed to not win anyway. Fuckin' A.

I've mentioned on another forum before but I'd like to see more tracks based on Mario64 courses. I like the Tick Tock Clock course from the DS game. A track based on one of the water stages with the background music they had would be sweet.
Rainbow Road from each Mario Kart game.
You know Rainbow Road is best course, and will be in this game.

Rainbow road from MK64 was my favorite! If they brough back a Rainbow road as Retro in 7. I'm sure they can do the one form MK64 for 8.
Yoshi's Valley(is that the name? Forgot) from MK64 would be good for this game. They can turn the hills into mountains to use the antigravitiy potential.
I think they should try to use more old courses from the original mario kart, MK64 and Super Circuit. They can totally redo some tracks with the antigravity. They would feel like new courses, but with a nostalgic feeling.

What? No. MK64 version of that course sucked. Too big and having guard rails kind of ruins the ability of it to be challenging. I think they did it that way because too many players complained about sucking too much on the original.
And if anyone did that, then they missed the point. Rainbow Road is supposed to be an ass-kicker. It's supposed to make you think you've mastered the game and its mechanics, that you can take on anything. Then you play Rainbow Road and you spend the next week soaking your pillow in tears and losing the will to live over the shame. SNES version did that. GC version could do it. DS version very close but not as much. GBA version though, holy shit. Makes me want to rage just thinking about it.

in 64's defense, they did have those annoying giant chain chomps & in the start of the level you had to deal with that gigantic ramp that could throw you into the pit if not careful

My favorite Mario Kart track is
I haven't played any of the console Mario Karts since Double Dash, but I've seen that it made a return in Mario Kart 7. That was cool to me.
Oh, and I loved picking Daisy in Double Dash. "Hi I'm Daisy!" just never gets old.
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Waluigi Pinball from Mario Kart DS.
