I just watched the 1st episode and it really caught my interest. I'm definitely gonna watch some more later tonight.

I also want Murdock's glasses so bad.

My God, Daredevil was spectacular. Vincent D'Onofrio is Wilson Fisk, he just is. I will go on record saying that his performance is perhaps one of, if not the, best portrayals of a comic book character. There is so much that they could have done wrong with that character that doing it this well is utterly amazing.

I'm about 9 episodes in and I think its 12 or 13 episodes total in Daredevil. it doesn't bring much hope seeing this kingpin if he decides to go into the future Spidey films/tv series unless they tone him down which would be a bummer. He's doing such a great job as Kingpin.

Cause so far the show is great id love to see other series done with = quality. Few of them id like to see done are

"Yeah, it’s huge. It’s huge. I mean the whole Marvel world is so huge. But I gotta tell you, I couldn’t be working for nicer people. I really am. I’m just having a great time. The whole — the way that we’re shooting it, our Daredevil, everybody that’s in the show, is just going so well. Tonight we have a big fight scene that’s happening. It’s the first time you see my character do something physical."

Cool interview. Some encouraging remarks. Check it out.

That was a quality show. I finished it on Sunday or Monday but either way I enjoyed it. I agree with you coltess, Vincent D'Onofrio is definitely Wilson Fisk.

Finished watching the series last night overall it was very good.

Hopefully Luke Cage, Iron Fist will turn up just as good or the same quality. Any news on the releases for those 2 shows.

I liked the first season a lot, too. I do think they waited a little too long to put him in the suit, though. I get that there was no rush and liked the pacing overall but there were too many teases and false starts throughout.

- "Daredevil" Renewed For Season Two

A week and a half after its premiere, Netflix has renewed “Daredevil” for a 13-episode second season. The action drama’s sophomore run will helmed by new showrunners Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez , who will be stepping in for departing executive producer Steven S. DeKnight.

“Daredevil’s” success means Netflix’s planned launch of four different TV series based on Marvel characters is on track. Coming in the future are dramas that will focus on the adventures of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, all of whom will join Daredevil in an event series about the superhero team known as “The Defenders.”

Not sure about that head.

I like the suit overall but, yeah, there's something about the face mask. I think the fact that it looks like it's squinting makes it seem like the show is making fun of him.

For me it's the eyes up. His forehead looks like a terrible and threatening burden to the rest of his face. You always talk about the jawline of an actor when they're going to be in a cowl. In this case, it just highlights the disparity between the bottom and top of his head. Some of it might be the actor, but I've got to think the design could've been more flattering. You don't need to have all those panels over the eyes.

The design's interesting on the whole. I've always liked the romance of the simple man in red, but I can see how that might not fly. Especially if the actor's here for acting, rather than physique and physical feats. Surprised they went for so many panels and black bits, though. Not from the perspective of doing it -- everyone does, since Nolan -- but that it could so easily be compared to the 90s armored look. At least it's majority red.

Should be interesting to see if they tweak it some more. I'd love to see DD make his way to the movies if Civil War goes all out. That might help, too. Captain America had some head issues (looked like a novelty sex toy) that have at least been worked on, if not completely fixed.

- Jon Bernthal Cast as Frank Castle in the Netflix Original Series 'Marvel's Daredevil'

Jon Bernthal (“Wolf of Wall Street,” “The Walking Dead, ” “Fury”) joins the upcoming season of “Marvel’s Daredevil,” streaming only on Netflix in 2016!

Bernthal will portray The Punisher, one of Marvel’s most popular characters. He is a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.

“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”

Oh, man. That could really work! Nice!

- Get Ready for 'Marvel's Jessica Jones,' Which Might Be Netflix's Darkest Series Yet

When Netflix announced that it would be producing a series of series featuring characters from the Marvel universe, one of the few things we were promised was that these series would be considerably darker than the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And when "Daredevil" premiered this spring, they delivered on that promise. A gritty, "Wire"-inspired take on the Hell's Kitchen crime and corruption Matt Murdock put on a mask to fight, "Daredevil" didn't skimp on the blood or brutality on screen, leading to a series that showrunner Steven S. DeKnight described as "PG-15."

But Netflix's next entry in this initiative, "Marvel's Jessica Jones," might take that grim approach to a new whole new level.

"Jessica Jones" is based on a comic book series called "Alias," written by Brian Michael Bendis and published by Marvel under the adult-rated Marvel "Max" banner. This meant that "Alias," which ran for 28 issues from 2001 to 2004, was free to be a graphic, sex-and-profanity-filled look at the life of Jessica Jones, a retired superhero turned private detective. Over the course of the series, compiled originally as four trade paperbacks and recently republished as a hardback omnibus, Jessica got drunk, had inappropriate sex and used her superpowers to dish out some hardcore violence — while also coping with the extreme PTSD that led her to quit the superhero game.

- Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’ Casts Simone Missick In Key Role

Netflix’s Marvel series Luke Cage has rounded out its core cast. I’ve learned that Simone Missick has landed the younger female mistyknightlead opposite Mike Colter, Alfre Woodard and Theo Rossi in the third series in Marvel’s four-series package for Netflix. She will play what is listed on the breakdown as Missy, a woman with a strong sense of justice. I hear the actual character is Marvel’s Misty Knight, a former NYPD officer who gets a new bionic arm by Tony Stark after losing hers in the line of duty. She eventually launches a detective agency, helping Cage.

Don't really know her. Hope she can do tough. She looks too nice!

- WATCH: First Teaser For Marvel's "Jessica Jones" [YouTube]

Marvel has released the first teaser for "Jessica Jones," the second of their Netflix series following this year's "Daredevil." The minute-long clip -- which reveals the show's November 20th premiere date -- features painterly images that evoke David Mack's covers for the show's source material series, "Alias." While "Thousand Eyes" by the band Of Monsters and Men plays, images flow into each other, incorporating an office door with the familiar "Alias Investigations" logo on it.

Not much to the teaser, but it's more stylish than most live-action Marvel. Hopefully that can carry over into the series proper.

- Marvel's JESSICA JONES - Official Trailer #2 (2015) Netflix Series HD [YouTube]

Keep fading in and out on this one. Never really got into Alias or The Pulse, but it looks pretty good. In general (if a little cheap). Not because the promos are all about Krysten Ritter's arse. (I think that's supposed to make people retroactively uncomfortable when they see the show, but I dunno -- I may have the wrong end of the story's reputation).

- The Punisher spin-off series in development at Netflix

Even though Daredevil's second season is some two months away, Netflix and Marvel are already ushering a spin-off into development based on one of its new characters - The Punisher. The former military man - aka Frank Castle - played by Jon Bernthal will make his debut when the season arrives in March, the latest adversary for Matt Murdock to face off with down those back alleys of Hell's Kitchen.

Apparently Bernthal's performance has impressed the powers-that-be, hence their eagerness to pursue a solo series for the vigilante. If it makes it through development, it will be the sixth Marvel show for Netflix following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the team-up finale The Defenders.

Bernthal, in an interview with EW, hints at the future of the character who will evolve throughout the season thanks to the "slow burn" story arc created by showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez. "He’s a guy who brought the war home with him [in] the worst possible way. There are a lot of iterations of this character and in all of them it’s a man who’s gone through this unbelievable trauma and what’s interesting about our take on him is how this trauma reshapes his own philosophy."

Not real surprising. Probably wishing we had a thread for each series now.

- Luke Cage says Iron Fist has been cast and Netflix is hiding him in a basement

We've already seen full seasons of Jessica Jones and Daredevil - the latter has a second season coming in March - while Luke Cage will finally get his own series later this year. That leaves just one of Marvel and Netflix's Defenders unaccounted for - Iron Fist. News broke last year that Scott Buck had been hired as a showrunner for the series, and according to Mike Colter, Marvel have already found their Danny Rand.

Speaking with Collider, the Luke Cage actor revealed: "The actor has been cast, but he’s in a basement somewhere. When the time is right, they’ll let him up and tell him where he is. I am [excited]. I’ll get a nice little break, after doing Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Whether I’m in [his show], I don’t know, but there’s The Defenders."

Sweet Christmas! I hope it's a winner.

- Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones to play Iron Fist

Marvel has found its newest superhero: Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones has landed the coveted series lead in Iron Fist.

Jones, who plays Ser Loras Tyrell on the HBO hit, will take on the role of the martial arts master in the upcoming Netflix series, EW has learned.

Iron Fist is set to be the fourth Marvel and Netflix collaboration, following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the forthcoming Luke Cage. Scott Buck (Dexter) has been tapped as showrunner. Marvel plans to eventually unite all its heroes in a series called The Defenders.

In the comics, Iron Fist is Daniel Rand, who at age of 9 travels with his family from New York to a lost mystical city called K’un-L’un. After some tragic twists of fate, Rand is adopted by the city’s ruler and taught advanced martial arts and the mystical power of the Iron Fist. As an adult, Rand returns to his native New York and begins a career as a superhero.

He reads a little young to me, and I have a tough time imagining him being bust buds with Power Man, but I don't really know him from a lick of soap. Still keeping my fingers crossed Marvel and Netflix do what they can to make Iron Fist spectacular. By rights it should be a stand-out with a distinct flavour from the rest.

Can we talk about how people totally unfamiliar with Iron Fist got on their high horse about how an Asian actor wasn't cast, only to have reality hit them when people started to point out Danny Rand is caucasian and when you assume a martial arts user is Asian that's called a stereotype and those are bad?

- RUMOR: Marvel/Netflix's "Iron Fist" To Also Star Shang-Chi

Following the news that Finn Jones will play Danny Rand in Netflix's upcoming "Iron Fist" television series, a new rumor has emerged suggesting that the series will also feature another one of Marvel's martial arts masters. Both The Hashtag Show and MCU Exchange cite unnamed sources indicating that Shang-Chi has been added to the show.

The report says that Shang-Chi's been added to the cast following the controversy surrounding casting a white actor in the role of Iron Fist, and that Marvel/Netflix are "exclusively auditioning males of Asian descent." The unnamed source also says it's possible that, if reception to the character is strong, Shang-Chi could possibly get his own Netflix series.

Two masters of kung fu for the price of one sounds like a good deal. Hope it doesn't get too crowded, though. Just depends how they're gonna structure the show. Would be pretty cool if Iron Fist could knuckle down on being a distinct kung fu/superhero/mystic hybrid, and set Shang-Chi up for more of a grungy, 70s flavored spin-off show.

Daredevil season 2 was fantastic. I really am liking how these shows are being handled. Especially D.D. He's always been one of my favorite Marvel heroes and I'm so glad he got his own series. At first I was a bit worried about how it was going to turn out... I mean super hero movies / tv series usually don't go very well (with a few exceptions of course). However, I'm happy to say that I was wrong and couldn't be happier with how things turned out.

I found myself actually sad when I finished the second season lol... I wanted more. From what I saw, I'm going to like the Punisher series as well.

Can't wait for Season 3!
