Way better than XP, and alot more features, all the bugs should be fixed. I cant wait to get it.

Longhorn doesnt have the internet explorer like windows. Now that its a complete monopoly, you will have to purchase the internet seperatly, its not offered free anymore if you understand what Im saying.

I've never paid for windows... so I doubt I will be paying for internet explorer lol.

When the time comes, I might install it, but I won't be using it much afterwards.

I only use Windows for games and to check out new exploits, and I don't play all-too-many games on PC.

No, I've heard too many bad things about some of the things that are involved with it. Plus, I'm planning on dual-booting Linux on my XP machine and Linux is awesome.

netgay, i mean netscape and some other looser company said it was illegal for a free webbrowser developed by MS to be included freely with there OS, because no one wanted there crappy browser and used IE, which was free, instead.

i dont like netscape, or the other browsers, i think they suck, i lick IE because it is easy and not gay like.

dont blaim MS, blaim the companies that sue em who make infier products.

o yea, real player, which sucks and cost $30, and that other gay media player u spend money for, sued MS in europe, and now instead of getting a free media player, that if u dont like, can get free winamp, which is better for music and such, included with MS, u have to buy realplayer or that other gay media player, both of which suck a nut.

thats right, when your crappy products cant compete with free suppier products, sue the competition and punish everyone.

im going to sue gate way, HP, and every last comp company for monopaly when i start my custom pc business, if real player can do it, so can i.

BTW, personally, I always preferred Netscape over IE, but ever since I changed PCs, I've used IE (since it runs on Windows XP and has IE included with it).

I think I'll wait a couple of months after this new OS comes out to see what the general reaction is before I decide on which OS to stick with.

I used to like Netscape better then IE as well... but MS did a pretty good job on the newer versions of IE so I saw no need to download Netscape. I think I agree with you on waiting a bit to see the general reaction... I'll probably do the same and perhaps read up a bit on some of the changes and what not. For now XP Pro is great and I'm happy with it.

Keep doubting me if you want, I spoke with a teacher that wrote the book on microsoft, and yup, thats the plan. WHy would they give it to you for free? Theres basically one market left for the internet, the rest arent mainstreem.

Internet Explorer should be banned from usage.
It's a terrible browser, and I hate most sites based on it.

Mozilla is so much better.




Oh, and, yeah.
Linux is awesome.
Definitely better than Windows will ever be.

I can't make that decission until it is released. All talk about its features is too early, anything could change at this point.

I currently have no problems with XP. I'll wait and see what LH has that XP doesn't, and to see if there are any compatibility issues with software...

Thats the big issue. WHen some people heard that there will be no compatibility whatsoever, people demanded a change, and now microsoft is listening. However, this is not like windows 98 2000 or XP where they are very much compatible. THis is a different, how shall I say, software, a new thing, not connected with wondows in any way.

Well here's the problem: if MS makes Windows compatible then they sacrafice security. If they make it more secure, robust, fast, etc, then they drop compatability. Its a tough choice. It's not that MS can't make more secure programs, its that they can't do so without loosing compatability with old OSs.

I agree, it's made by Windows for Windows, very easy to use, they obviously compliment each other well. I've tried other browsers through other computers and I just am a fan of IE. Just me tho.
