No offense to HOCKY fans. But that sport is the Def of WT.
Thanks Skinsley. I do hope Silva gets his ass kicked by Dan tho. Dan is a badass. Hockey is a northern white trash sport, but when I think of White Trash I think of the south. I live in the south but I dont care for Nascar or Hockey. I do sometimes show signs of being a redneck, but there was no imbreeding involved. Which I believe when Killer Instinct said "inbred" that was a racist thing to say. Because when black people say inbred they are usually talking about white people. Racism can work both ways.
UFC 87: Seek and Destroy
Looks like Brock Lesnar is being fed to another UFC great, Mark Coleman.
Mark hasnt fought in over a year. As I thought his last fight, a loss to Fedor Emelienenko would be his last(the worst beat down I have ever seen in MMA). But he is coming back to the UFC, I think for the UFC Hall of Fame, and to fight a younger, stronger, faster, version of himself, Brock Lesnar. He has everything going against him in my opinion except one thing... His great experience. Experience beat Brock Lesnar the last time. Can Mark pull out a miracle?
I know there is a ton of Lesnar haters out there, but Yall have to admit for a minute and thirty seconds his fight was damn exciting.... although he did lose by knee bar to Frank Mir. I think if he learns BJJ defense he will eventually be an unstoppable powerhouse. Nobody can match his strength or quickness. His wrestling and ground and pound are exiting to watch. The only thing he needs to worry about are his chin(nobody know how hard a punch he can handle) and his inexperience(he will develop over time).
Who do You think will win? Brock, or Coleman?
Ill add a couple more.
UFC 84(tomorrow night):
Penn or Sherk
Jardine or Silva
Machida or Ortiz
UFC 85:
Matt Hughes or Thiago Alves
Micheal Bisbing or Jason Day
UFC 86:
Rampage or Griffin
This isnt greatly important but, Corey Hill or Justin Buchholz
My picks
Brock
Penn
Jardine
Ortiz
Hughes
Bisbing
Rampage
Corey Hill
BIG NEWS!!!!! Former UFC Champ takes on The Last Emperor
M1: Affliction Banned
Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelienenko vs. Tim "The Maniac" Sylvia
Of course Fedor is considered the Top Heavyweight in the world, but Tim has proved people wrong before. He should not be underestimated. He is definately a worthy opponent(Even after his two consecutive losses). Lets hope Fedor wins, cuz we all want to see the fantasy match up between him and Randy Couture.

Anyone know when Anderson Silva will lose? Who will defeat Brock Lesnar?

I think Hendo can take on Silva in a rematch. Machida can definately whoop Silva. I think Lesnar will lose to Shane Carwin in December. If he were to fight Fedor then it'd be no contest. Fedor would rip Lesnar a new asshole

Anderson will lose when he fights Nick Diaz. 209 bitches! 20-fuckin'-9! Stockton up! Gogoing motherfuckers all fucking day yo because they on that hydrogenated chocolate shit instead of smoking up bowls like they fuckin' should be!
...Or when he fights the mighty Katsuyori Shibata...
Or to be serious, I don't actually know. Although I'd give Diaz as good of a shot as anyone, actually. Apart from maybe Henderson.
Lesnar will be defeated by anyone who isn't a wrestler and who's also smaller than him. He'll beat Carwin's face in. He'd get his limbs torn off against Barnett, Fedor... maybe Minotauro... Schilt would knock his block off... Hong Man Choi I'm not sure how he'd fare against but I think he'd give Lesnar a lot of problems...Heavyweight is just a ridiculously shallow talent pool, really. Especially in UFC. He's a big albino gorilla in a small pond unfortunately.
...I hope he fights Barnett at some point. I'd enjoy watching Barnett take great pleasure in breaking his legs for the honor of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Who can beat Anderson Silva? At Middleweight.. hmm, Dan Henderson has a chance, he's the only one in the UFC to win a round from Silva. Also I would give Cung Le (Strikeforce Middleweight champion) a good chance. At Light Heavyweight I would say Lyoto Machida, although they don't want to fight each other since they're training partners, but that's up to the UFC, not to them.
Also, I don't see anyone beating Lesnar anytime soon!

I'm still confused as to who Silva is fighting next. I hear he's moving permanently to Light Heavyweight, I hear Marquardt is getting a shot at his title, I hear Hendo is getting a shot as his title, no idea. I do know that Silva's going to be out for a while because of surgery though.

Anderson Silva is getting elbow surgery so he will be out for a couple of months. As for Hendeson, he wants another title shot but the UFC want him to fight Marquart for the #1 contender. Hendo doesn't want to and actually he's a free agent since they haven't come to an agreement and a new contract.

today was the 2nd episode of utimate fighter heavyweights and rashad's team won again. i'm not surprised. this fight was more balenced than the last one but it was not very good at all. next week kimbo is supposed to fight. i'm hoping this fight will be good but time will tell.

Its hard to say who will beat those two. Anderson is a beast as well as Brock. Someone else said Cung le had a chance and I strongly disagree with that comment since Cung Le has been making movies and no one has seen what he's capable of yet. Also who knows if his head is even in the fight game.
Anderson is so tricky with his stand up. The only way someone is gonna beat him is by somehow getting a lucky strike or out wrestle him. He's a big 185er who can shut people down. I doubt Henderson, Marquardt or Belfort would beat him although anything is possible in a fight. As a fan I would love to see GSP fight him but I think he is too small and would lose his quickness edge at middleweight. Personally I think Anderson will retire champion.
Brock is beatable but man is he ever a force. He is massive for a Heavyweight. Thankfully Shane Carwin a guy I like is also massive and can definetly give Brock a problem. The issue with Brock isn't Brock's skills. Brock isn't a good striker and is fairly new to MMA. He brings his wrestling pedigree which is part of dealing with Brock. If he gets you down your in deep trouble. He will make fighters gas out and lose their edge in winning. Shane will be ready for Brock but hopefully he can keep it on the feet or else Brock will pound him out.
Another subject is Fedor Emelianenko. I really want to see him in the UFC but that probably won't happen. UFC will never co-sign events and Fedor stands behind M1. Fedor has his hands full at the moment with Roger and Overeem.
Also I'm very excited next week because Carlos Newton (former UFC fighter) will be hosting a seminar at the place I go to and I might be lucky enough to get my ass kicked by him and maybe a beer with him.

Our trainer Robby Tomlin teaches us a lot of advanced shit which is great but to watch what Newton can do is gonna be great. I really doubt I'd spar with Newton, he'd kick my ass but itd be fun. Its good to have a guy at our gym that is friends with some canadian talent like Newton, GSP and a few others...

Maybe Shane will work behind the scenes...
James Toney signs a 5 fight deal with the UFC. Toney followed Dana White to two UFC events trying to talk Dana White into signing him and eventually talked behind closed doors with Dana. Dana talked more to Toney's agent and the terms of the deal were finalized. This contract marks the first non-exclusive contract Dana and the UFC have done meaning Toney can still continue his Boxing career. Maybe the UFC will eventually talk Fedor Emilienanko into signing!
Can a championship boxer transfer to the sport of MMA? Is Boxing in such bad shape that boxers are stalking the UFC president for a chance at MMA stardom? Is this just a Freakshow for pay-per-view money(mma vs. boxer)?
These are two different sports. I hope Toney gets some real mma training in. I wanna see him get some wins. I wanna see him knock someone out with a 6 oz glove. But he is 41 and the transition might be too hard for him.
Toney has also called out street fighting king Kimbo Slice.
What's yalls prediction on Heavyweight Boxing Legend vs. Internet Sensation Street Fighter?
My gut tells me Kimbo will win. I might get blasted by boxing fans but Kimbo isn't stupid. He won't box with Toney. And based off his last performance vs. Houston Alexander his wrestling and ground game have gotten exponentially better. Kimbo will ground and pound Toney for the TKO. Maybe Toney can knock him out or down before Kimbo can grab him. I doubt it though.

A championship boxer absolutely can transfer to MMA, but it's a big transfer. Boxing is a martial art which gets nowhere near enough respect from many so called "martial artists," because as a martial art unto itself it's obviously massively flawed, but as a skillset, it's totally invaluable. I would sooner put my money on a no-name full time boxer than any other martial artist in a fight that is going to take place standing up.
Boxing isn't in bad shape. It should be noted that I don't like boxing as a sport, I think it's outright stupid and completely irrelevant. But financially, even though it's seen better days, it's not in "bad" shape. World champions are still making more money for single fights than most of UFC's roster makes in a year. MMA isn't doing as shit-hot as UFC would have you believe either. Internationally, in terms of European audiences and etc, acceptance is increasing, but interest is waning. In Japan interest appears null, promotions like Sengoku are having to heavily paper their audiences to even get a half house, according to its employees. If Toney is chasing an MMA contract it's because he know he can't cut it in boxing anymore where the money is bigger, but you don't get paid if you lose. In MMA you can catch a respectable cheque even if you suck.
I don't know what Dana White is doing. I don't really give a fuck, either, because I couldn't care less about his bullshit promotion. But I cannot understand what he hopes to gain by letting on over the hill old man come in and show the world that American MMA fighters have terrible hands by having this guy crush them on his feet, then letting that same guy who buries his UFC talent go get buried in boxing. The only message it sends, if any, is that American MMA fighters have abysmal standup. We already know this anyway, but I don't know why White would want to advertise it.
As far as Kimbo vs Toney... Two weeks of sprawl training for James Toney and he could end Kimbo's life in four seconds. Kimbo is nothing. The only way he could possibly win is if Toney didn't train, Kimbo trained like an animal, Toney was gunshy, and Kimbo had set out to immediately ground him. It could happen, but it's highly, highly unlikely.

White hasn't promoted this yet. The only news I've seen is from the Internet. Toney has been doing his own promoting. But I believe the main reason White signed Toney is because Toney was gonna talk to Strike Force. White has already lost Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelienanko to Strike Force. Herschel Walker and Bobby Lashley have also pulled some attention to SF. Both are doing damn good too.
People wanna see A Real Championship Boxer fight MMA. We have seen boxers enter the sport before and they do ok but they don't dominate like the wrestlers or the bjj experts. But Toney is different. And you can't say you wouldn't watch him fight in the octagon.
But I hope Dana doesn't throw him to the wolves like he did Lesnar. I don't think he would do well in that situation.
Who would you like to see him fight his first five fights?
I wanna see Kimbo, Houston, Cro Cop(knockout fight), Kongo, and Gonzaga

To be honest... I'm not really that interested, you know. I'd sure pay attention to the guy if he was fighting on a card I was watching, but I'm not really interested enough to fan-book him. I think of the guys you mentioned, if I had to guess, he'd probably crush them all except Gonzaga, who could just throw him on the ground and have his way with him. I don't even think Crocop - who was quite a respectable kickboxer - would have anything for him. When a professional kickboxer competes in MMA against guys who've trained only for MMA, he dominates the standup (like Crocop did in Pride), because he's had less tools at his disposal during his training so he's become better at utilizing them than his opponents, who've been busy worrying for years about other tools too. Same thing applies when a professional boxer fights a professional kickboxer; the less tools you have, the better you get with them, so a good kickboxer will always have trouble laying a hand on a good boxer. Crocop's chin has been cracked since the Gonzaga fight too, so I'd bet that as soon as he made a mistake he'd get buried.
