The theme from the Mortal Kombat movie was playing and you could hear whoever did the song scream Mortal Kombat and Ian from Anthrax said that it was the call of the retards.

See that's the great thing about looking back and re-living those days, cause you can remember all those days of playing MK in the arcades the feeling that you're playing something great and memorable. I had that feeling the first time I played it. It's like you couldn't have known that it was going to be the success it has become, but there was something special about it.

You are far from entertaining, and almost never post on topic and usually instigate flaming in threads. Continue this behaviour, and find your posting privledges removed as you wished for earlier. ------------- And on-topic, I can't get VH-1 so I can't see the show. Are they generally just showing MK1 and (likely) how it started the chain of violent games or what? |
What the f*ck was that Jonin!? That was mean and uncalled for. Geez.

Jordan McKnight was talkin' about it.
The dude from Anthrax was too.
Pat Buchanan did too.
Beatrice.. uhh.. I don't remember his last name but he's pretty fat... and shows up on Colin Quinn's show a lot.
I think Ice-T was talking about it too.
And a couple of others.
Mostly stuff like "I beat my friends at it a lot" or "I played it a lot." Aaaaaannnnnndddd it talked a bit about the violence rating.

Funny thing was that I had tuned in a little late because I had just gotten back from karate class, and I had turned it on just in time! They began to show MK just a minute after I had turned it to VH1. When I seen it I said to myself, "I knew it!"

So that's what it's called... I have a copied cassette of the soundtrack and I never knew the name of the song. I just called it "Test Your Might".
On topic, I wish I caught that station.

I understand what you mean.I was really young in the 90's.I was still in my single digits so I don't remember one thing about it.All I remember is MK and Saturday Morning Cartoons. The reason why the 00's dont seem that great is because the 00's started off really rocky.9/11 was enough to make everyone sad.But slowly you'll see people wanting to go out and live.Look back at 2001 and 2002 people were really sad then. Now there starting to cheer up.
As far as music and movies are concerned, music and movies are messed up due to the people involved with it now.Everything is about money. It dosen't matter how good you sing or how much passion you have for it.People only go by looks.I wish things weren't like that. But I try to pick some of the things I like best in life.
Then in a couple of years you won't feel like you wasted some of your life dwelling on the past.I feel like that sometimes when I look back at 2001-2002.I was in a slump all because I was listening to what MTV said and I was buying things just to fit in the so called "In Crowd".I got so depressed I wore the same clothes everyday for 4 days each week. Then I really broke down and tried attempting suicide. And that woke me up.So just pick out all the good things you like and forget about what everyone else is doing.Just worry about what your doing.
I love the 90's is alot better than the 80's and 70's series IMO.

Hell yeah, everything was great in the 90's, music, pop culture, videogames, movies, and wrestling
