[Wait... Wasn't that the main aspiration in the Olympics???]Frankly, whew, this was extraordinary. That was the first time I logged in in the IRK and – while I wouldn't have personally accepted to represent my fine land suddenly with a low activity ratio – I decided to exercise against the minions of the night to find my way to London with the stakes given.
I guess I was late to the party however, seeing the horrible injury. I have a friend who joined the real Olympics now and in reality Finland has always performed relatively well there for their population of five million, plus also our grandfathers fought wars against both Nazis and Soviets successfully; defended this country from tyrants! To new endeavors. Good Luck guys.
Merry £&@%!! Christmas

Internet Relay Kombat Olympics - Day 6 (August 2, 2012)
[Group A] Nephrite d. Asesino [+1]
Nephrite's Olympic dream would be kept alive Day 6, bolstered by a vital win in his third appearance, against Asesino. The Bulgarian proved a worthy opponent, but would be the unfortunate victim of his third straight loss, officially out of medal contention after the narrow fought battle. Nephrite still has a nervous wait ahead, but with CCShadow unable to claim points in his August 5th default, a tie could give Croatia the boost into medal contention. He is current 3rd in the pools, behind equal 1st Zentile and CCShadow.

[Group B] CaTigeReptile d. Ninja_Mime [+3]
In one of the biggest bouts of these Olympic Games, two of the absolute powerhouses of competition would meet in a match quite possibly destined to be a Finals preview! Both fighting for a chance to go 3-0; CaTigeReptile was able to dispel the uncertainty of her mixed performances, strong against Canada's great hope, Ninja_Mime! A heavy hitting battle would produce a convincing result for CTR, boosting her high impact average with a comparatively modest +3! The loss puts the pressure back on the rivalry between Canada and the USA -- jack4813 still able to steal a Finals spot with a strong finish! He encounters CTR next, August 4th!

Internet Relay Kombat Olympics - Day 7 (August 4, 2012)
[Group A] Asesino d. Zmoke [default]
A bittersweet end for Bulgaria as Asesino collects his only victory in a no contest, his final appearance in these 2012 Olympic Games. Zmoke's surprise early exit in Week 1, via arena training incident, would leave two Group A competitors awaiting a default victory. The result robs Asesino of his shot at a fighting redemption, but will more crucially deny the Fin's remaining opponent all-important impact points. CCShadow formally receives his default win Day 8, elevating him to a precarious 3-0 perfect record, vulnerable by points if he loses his final match and Nephrite wins his. Closely matched from the beginning, Group A will provide intense drama right to the finish as we count down to the Semi Finals!

[Group B] CaTigeReptile d. jack4813 [+2]
It was by no means the type of domination she has proven capable of, but in her final Olympic appearance, CaTigeReptile erased any doubt, confirming her status as a Medal favourite! The Chinese representative completed a clean sweep in pools, qualifying for the Semi Finals with a solid performance in her fourth straight win. The only other KFL Champion competing: jack4813 will now be relying on the fates of his Canadian rival -- Ninja_Mime's performance to determine whether he moves on to a medal finish. The three power houses have loomed large over Group B, the rival of the border a particular highlight.

Group A
1. (2-0-0) Zentile [+2]
2. (2-0-0) CCShadow [+2]
3. (2-1-0) Nephrite [+2]
4. (1-3-0) Asesino [--]

Internet Relay Kombat Olympics - Day 8 (August 5, 2012)
[Group A] CCShadow d. Zmoke [default]
With the Semi Finals in sight, CCShadow secures a third unanswered victory under unremarkable circumstances. Though the unassuming competitor has proven a strong chance to qualify, a close field could still mean a failure, dependent on future results. A default victory via the conclusion of the Finnish obligation means a missed opportunity for impact points -- the measure of victory that could very well decide qualification should there be a Group A tie! The predicament will play heavily into the fortunes of Nephrite, who will need to oust either CCShadow, or Zentile, to move on to the medal rounds.

[Group B] jack4813 d. hydraslash [+4]
A comprehensive victory finished the United States' campaign, but the degree of impact was not enough to keep jack4813 in the hunt for a medal. With a +4 impact bringing his points to a total +6, he is now +1 behind Canadian rival, Ninja_Mime, who at worst will qualify via tie with the USA. The resistance to domination was a small win for hydraslash, who in earlier rounds suffered at the hands of a more experienced field. His goals will now be set on pride in a personal final match with fellow beleaguered Group B competitor -- Maridany.

Group A
1. (3-0-0) CCShadow [+2]
2. (2-0-0) Zentile [+2]
3. (2-1-0) Nephrite [+2]
4. (1-3-0) Asesino [--]
5. (0-4-0) Zmoke† [--]

Internet Relay Kombat Olympics - Day 9 (August 6, 2012)
[Group A] CCShadow d. Zentile [+1]
A very close battle secures CCShadow the clean sweep, following in the undefeated footsteps of CTR in Group B! Zentile was well within his means, but came up short in a narrow margin for victory. While CCS graduates to the Semi Finals, Zentile will enter into a do-or-die situation, his Day 10 match with Nephrite to decide which of the two qualifies for a medal opportunity!

[Group B] hydraslash d. Maridany [+1]
The battle between Group B's most overwhelmed fighters would provide a personal final for fighters gaining valuable experience. hydraslash suffered the greatest defeat of the round, against CTR, while Maridany is still in search of his first career victory. Highly motivated and evenly matched, the pair showed true signs of growing into greater competitors. It was an incredibly close fought match, but in the end, the Aussie would take the personal victory, 1-3. The resut sets the stage for what could become an interesting rivalry in the near future. Olympians return to the KFL Friday Night Fights August 17th.

Group A
1. (4-0-0) CCShadow [+3]
2. (2-1-0) Zentile [+2]
3. (2-1-0) Nephrite [+2]

Internet Relay Kombat Olympics - Day 10 (August 7, 2012)
[Group A] Nephrite d. Zentile [+3]
With Semi Finals qualification on the line, the last match of Group A would be a blockbuster! Under sudden death conditions, Nephrite left absolutely nothing to chance, unleashing a wild +3 impact in a convincing win! The Day 10 result would be the most one-sided affair in what was an incredibly closely contested field. Zentile takes a wealth of experience back to the League, but will no doubt rue the missed opportunity. Nephrite and CCShadow progress to the Semi Final, where Nephrite will meet the intimidating Chinese representative, CaTigeReptile!

[Group B] Ninja_Mime d. Maridany [+5]
With an impact rating higher than his US rival, Ninja_Mime could enjoy his final match on Day 10, a confirmed qualifier. Yet to score a win in Olympic or League competition, Maridany would be looking for a major upset -- one he could not find. Ninja_Mime dominated the dead rubber, picking up another +5 impact rating in a comprehensive result. He meets the undefeated CCShadow in the Semi Finals.

Group A
1. (4-0-0) CCShadow [+3]
2. (3-1-0) Nephrite [+5]
3. (2-2-0) Zentile [+2]
4. (1-3-0) Asesino [--]
5. (0-4-0) Zmoke† [--]

Internet Relay Kombat Olympics - Day 11 (August 8, 2012)
[Semi Final A] Ninja_Mime d. CCShadow [+3]
The undefeated CCShadow got a harsh introduction to losing, head-to-head with a Ninja_Mime at the top of his game! The Canadian powered into the Semi Finals to exit comprehensive victor over the ever-unpredictable powers of CCShadow, who has typically been grounded in duo competition. Ninja_Mime has been a medal prospect throughout the competition, but now progresses to a Gold Medal match with all the right momentum. CCS will still be able to compete for Bronze.

[Semi Final B] CaTigeReptile d. Nephrite [+11]
The Chinese campaign in these Olympics started slow, but CaTigeReptile has reiterated her favourite status in every subsequent contest! Nephrite was forced into a dramatic sudden death contest in the last day of group pools, where a confident performance teased a fairytale ending. Alas, the Croatian was utterly dominated, the latest victim of CTR's penchant for heavy impact victories. The +11 sets CTR up as a Gold Medal favourite, moving into a Group B rematch with Ninja_Mmie. Nephrite will still have a chance to salvage his run, evenly matched against the wiles of CCShadow.

Internet Relay Kombat Olympics - Day 12 (August 9, 2012)
[Gold Medal] Ninja_Mime d. CaTigeReptile [+1]
A rematch from Day 6 would set the stage for an interesting final as Group B's best converged on the Gold Medal match! The pressure would be on Canada, CaTigeReptile having already had a confident win over Ninja_Mime in the pools, on her way to an dominant Olympic campaign! The loss had been Ninja_Mime's only, but the psychological favourite had to be the undefeated CTR.

CTR had battled a slow start early in the tournament, but improved leaps and bounds as she asserted herself as the Gold Medal favourite. It was to be a shock, then, that the yips returned. Under the highest pressure stakes, CaTigeReptile was less than her best, while Ninja_Mime arrived with a match winning performance! The Canadian had largely kept level in his assault on these Olympic Games and that consistency was in the final in dividends! The fairytale come true! Ninja_Mime a solid win to capture the Gold Medal! For CaTigeReptile of China, a well earned but bitter Silver.

[Bronze] Nephrite d. CCShadow [+1]
Nephrite had won his way into the Semi Finals with a dramatic Day 10 sudden death showdown (with Zentile), but when the push came from CaTigeReptile in SF, Nephrite became a statistic -- massively defeated by +11. CCShadow's relegation had been less devastating, and with his victory over Nephrite in Group A stages, Day 5, it would be a Bronze Medal match with another seeming favourite.

The script from the Gold Medal final would seemingly be reprised, but shuffled. This time, it was the underdog Nephrite who appeared the more hindered of the two competitors. The fairytale conclusion would not be rewritten, however. Once again, the favourite would come off second best, CCShadow narrowly missing out. Nephrite the winner of the Bronze Medal!

Final Podium Result
1. Ninja_Mime [GOLD]
2. CaTigeReptile [SILVER]
3. Nephrite [BRONZE]

MKO Internet Relay Kombat: Friday Night Fights (Week 28)A string of victories delivered The_Purple_Bunny to a long awaited Championship match, only to have his favourite status overturned by an impressive performance from the two-time reigning champ! TheNinjasRock071394 was at his best, running parallel to the heavyweight TPB, whose heavyweight credentials had him 3-1 to beat the KFL Champion! The victory cements TheNinjasRock071394 as more than a fluke, setting him up strong for the string of challengers that awaits!

For achieving the phenomenal feat of a 10-1 win/loss record with his victory this week (over recent non-title challenger, LordSkarlet) -- nightbreed_16 will be granted a KFL Championship match during FNF Week 29! He leapfrogs redman, whose career turn around has taken him from the bottom rung, to a Top Ten title contention rank!

Competitors who participated in the Internet Relay Kombat MKOlympics will also return to standard competition during next week's Friday Night Fights. Medal winners Ninja_Mime (Gold), CaTigeReptile (Silver) and Nephrite (Bronze) will all jump back in with legitimate claims to title contention, Ninja_Mime a likely challenger for Week 30. As the outstanding #1 ranked fighter and surprise Silver Medalist, CTR will have a strong claim beyond.

The challenge period for Week 29 is now open!

Players can challenge any registered opponent to a bout next Friday, with 1v1, 2v2 and 3-Way match types available to those so inclined. Challenges can be made by fighters new and old. Challenging the reigning KFL Champion will solicit a non-title battle, and delay defense for that week. MKO Internet Relay Kombat: Friday Night Fights (Week 29)An uncanny 10-1 record may have brought nightbreed_16 to the KFL Championship level, but could his penchant for defying the odds possibly stand-up to the might of a two-time Champion? One-on-one with TheNinjasRock071394 -- the answer would prove: no! The champ was free to extend his reign under much less laboured circumstances than the previous week, securing an unquestioned victory with +3 impact! The win confirms a full month as title holder for TheNinjasRock071394, who still has a ways to go to match the reign of rival April-June champion, CaTigeReptile!

The KFL Silver Medallist will bide her time, a strong prospect to contest the title during FNF Week 31. Next week's shot already belongs to the Olympic Gold Medallist Ninja_Mime, whose return to regular League competition will put the pressure back on TheNinjasRock071394! Ninja_Mime last contested the KFL title in April, but where past failures may linger, the weight of momentum and the taste of Olympic Gold spurs the Canadian toward victory! It's sure to be a blockbuster main event: Friday, August 24!

Meanwhile; the contenders list remains solid! A total demolition of last week's challenger improves Scott-Howell's prospects of a return shot at the title he held briefly in June/July, his Top 5 status bolstered by a +15 impact! Olympic Bronze medallist, Nephrite, kept his third-string claim alive with a successful return to FNF, convincing in his dismissal of Zentile's grudge rematch. redman kept himself right in the hunt with a solid win over upstart LordSkarlet, while Genku threw his hat back in the ring with a domination of disappointed Olympic return and former KFL champ, jack4813.

The challenge period for Week 30 is now open!

MKO Internet Relay Kombat: Friday Night Fights (Week 30)To date, it's been an impressive reign for two-time KFL Champion, TheNinjasRock071394. The Champ battled beyond his limits just to overcome CaTigeReptile in his second title victory, but it was success against The_Purple_Bunny's heavyweight challenge that truly stamped 071394's name in the history books! All good things must come to an end, and alas, a hot contender's field has produced a fighter on the up-and-up! Fresh from his Gold Medal performance in the KFL Olympics: Ninja_Mime has triumphed once again, riding the wave of success to his first KFL Championship!

The new Champion will not have long to celebrate his victory! Another two-time former title holder will look to reclaim the top prize in a rematch of the Gold Medal final at this year's Olympics! CaTigeReptile challenges for the KFL Championship next week, eager for payback against her Canadian Olympic adversary -- the man who shocked everyone with his unlikely Gold Medal performance!

Also next week: redman battles Olympic Bronze Medalist, Nephrite, in a bout to determine the #1 contender to challenge the winner of CTR/N_M during the first FNF of September! Nephrite is riding high after rejecting a post-Olympic grudge match against the resurrected Zmoke -- but redman's rise to the top of the ranks comes with a solid victory over the rarely defeated contender, nightbreed_16! Also lurking in the satellite ranks -- Genku, whose successful challenge against Scott-Howell brings him a step closer to title domination!
