First, you're not the only one to get Question 2 Dan. So freak if you must!

Second, I've been waiting to post some of the recent episodes so people who haven't posted get more of a chance to do so. Really, I've been a bit too generous and from now on, the episodes will be posted at 8pm sharp. No more amnesty for those who forget. *cracks the whip*

Finally, I’m getting tired of all this copying cause the scores don’t change as much and people stay in the spots they normally are in the scores. So instead of taking an extreme measure that I originally thought about doing, I’m simply going to start posting more multiple choice questions. If the copying continues as it has, then I’m going to have people send me their answers via PM, thus making any answers posted in this thread void!

INT. STUDY - NIGHT


* As chan_ming, Shyriu and thetruth4 start walking in the direction of the living room, chan_ming is frustrated that NovaStarr has apparently run off somewhere and also concerned. *


chan_ming: [shaking the rain off herself] Okay, you two go back in there and tell TemperaryUserName that TPB’s Secretary just did a Houdini on me!

thetruth4: Wait. you’re not coming in?

chan_ming: No! We can’t have anyone else run off when we’re trying to get things settled around here!

Shyriu: Well, don’t you want someone to stay with you and help?

chan_ming: No! Just... go back in there. I’ll find out where she went off to and bring her back!

thetruth4: Why do you think she’d just...

chan_ming: Look, I don’t know damn it! This shit is starting to wear on me. Just go back in there.

Shyriu: Where could she have gone off to?

chan_ming: [sighs and looks in the direction of the staircase leading to the wine cellar] What’s down there?

thetruth4: That goes down to the wine cellar. NovaStarr said when I got here that if I wanted to chose something that I might like other than scotch, that I should chose from what was down there.

chan_ming: [lets out a deep sigh] Alright fine! You two get going. I’ll start down there.

Shyriu: Are you sure you’ll be okay?

chan_ming: [walks toward the staircase] As sure as you needing to get your ass back to the living room. [looks at thetruth4] And you too.


*As chan_ming starts down the stairs to the wine cellar, thetruth4 and Shyriu are on their way to the living room to join the rest of the group.*


Shyriu: [stops suddenly and stops thetruth4 as well]

thetruth4: Hey what?

Shyriu: Listen. Now you know that I’m a reporter right?

thetruth4: Yeah. You’re a reporter. But...

Shyriu: Right! And you know that reporters have to follow a story wherever it goes, right?

thetruth4: Uhhhhh... well no. I don’t know much about what you reporters do and such.

Shyriu: Yeah, well...Let my quickly fill you in. We follow a story wherever it leads and inform the public of that they should know.

thetruth4: [puzzled] Okay.

Shyriu: Now, I’ve been following TPB for a long time now. Almost five fucking years!

thetruth4: Sure. Okay...

Shyriu: I mean, I’ve talked to people who were scared shitless to even look at a reporter. People who knew things about TPB and what he did for people like Governor Bloodline666, state officials, our ‘friend’ takermk... hell maybe even Satan himself...

thetruth4: Uh huh...

Shyriu: TPB had his tentacles in almost everything and everybody! And I think you and I know about that as much as everyone else in there.

thetruth4: I... I don’t understand.

Shyriu: If anything was true about TPB, it’s that he never knew anyone who he didn’t have something on. Hell, if he knew that his mother was a hooker back in the late seventies, he’d hold that bit of information over her like it was a fucking pendulum swinging back and forth for as long as he wished. And I bet if she didn’t do what he wanted, he lower that pendulum inch by inch till she complied. That’s who that guy that’s now dead in his own study was!

thetruth4: [pauses] I see.

Shyriu: Yeah! I see too. Everyone here has something that he wanted and he had something on all of us, right?

thetruth4: [evasively] I... You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Shyriu: Oh really? Then you’re here by mistake, just like the lady cop right?

thetruth4: What?

Shyriu: She’s obviously hiding something about herself just like you are. Something about her being investigated by Internal Affairs Bureau if I remember correctly. And you know they do from what I hear from my police sources?

thetruth4: [shakes head]

Shyriu: [walks closer to thetruth4 and whispers] They investigate police officers for being dirty, that’s what they do. They police their own.

thetruth4: Really?

Shyriu: Yeah. And if that’s in some way what TPB had on her, then he obviously has something on you my friend.

thetruth4: [walks in the direction of the living room] Listen, we should get back...

Shyriu: [stops him and pulls thetruth4 into the kitchen and quickly closes the door] Hey! Hey!...

thetruth4: What’s your problem...

Shyriu: Hey! Look, I want to help you! Once all of this gets out, I’m going to write about what went on tonight and I plan on leaving some things out if you get my drift.

thetruth4: I don’t understand.

Shyriu: Look! The public don’t need to know about what little skeletons are lurking in our closets, but if you tell me what he knew about you, it’ll go a long way for me to finally expose TPB for the leech that he was. All you gotta do is go along with me on this and you can have some measure of retribution just like everyone else. Just tell me what he knew that you don’t want anyone else finding out.


*While thetruth4 and Shyriu are having their conversation in the kitchen, chan_ming is surveying the wine cellar looking for a wayward NovaStarr.*


chan_ming: [looking around] Miss, are you in here? [sighs] Damnit!I don’t know why she’d just run off.


*chan_ming looks around and takes a view of TPB’s extensive collection of fine wines.*


chan_ming: [talking to herself] Fucker sure did have a collection of the good stuff. He must have been quite the...


*A loud rustling sound can be heard coming from upstairs. The mansion is quite old and the ceiling is not too think, so a loud noise or movement can be heard in the cellar. This alerts the detective.*


chan_ming: [looks up at the ceiling] Okay, what the hell was that?


*chan_ming goes up the stairs and enters the study to quietly listen for the noise she just heard in the cellar. She stands in the middle of the study looking upward and simply listening. After a minute of nothingness that same noise can be heard again. She follows the noise out of the study and into the main hall where she can hear the noise coming from upstairs on the second floor. She then proceeds up the stairs and finds herself in the hallway thinking of where the sound may have come from. The she hears the sound coming from the left. She turns left and slowly walks in the direction of the sound. She sees arrives to the last guest bedroom on the right and finds the door is open. She slowly turns the knob and inches to door open.*


chan_ming: [opening the door] Miss NovaStarr? Are you in here? Hello?

NovaStarr: [startled] Oh my....! Ummmmm... Yes?


*chan_ming walks into the room and finds the room in disarray. NovaStarr is standing next to a bed with it’s mattress turned over and she has an astonished look on her face.*


chan_ming: What the hell are you doing? You have the urge to tear up a bedroom all of a sudden?

Eventhough Episode 12 is scheduled to be posted at 9:30pm, it may be posted tomorrow cause there's a huge storm going on where I am and the power has been flirting with going out for the past 40 min. So if it goes out and it lasts into the night, I'll just post Episode 12 in the morning.

Btw, there are 8 episodes left! So, those who are lingering close behind the lead or maybe a little further back still have a chance. So be sure to stick with the game for 8 more episodes.

TemperaryUserName: For fuck’s sake man!...

Grizzle: [pleading to TemperaryUserName] Please! He’s apparently told you what he knows...

TemperaryUserName: Oh sure! After he leaves TPB’s secretary, takermk and myself in the hall to talk about last nights episode of Desperate Housewives, he just happens to find TPB dead. I buy that like I buy that O.J. is still looking for the killers of his ex-wife.

axeman61: [chuckles] Heh. That was a good one.

]{OMBAT: [fatigued and a bit frantic] I saw what I saw! I... I didn’t do anything to him.

TemperaryUserName: Look pal, nothing you’ve said makes sense and I’m tired of listening to it. Say something that does make sense!

]{OMBAT: I don’t...

TemperaryUserName: Say that you flipped out and killed your boss...

]{OMBAT: Why would I kill him?

Grizzle: Please ]{OMBAT. It may be the reason why you might have wanted to harm TPB.

]{OMBAT: [abruptly] No! I... I wouldn’t have done anything to him in any case, let alone... what happened that evening.

Grizzle: Look lad. I was there and saw what happened. I’m sure I’d come away with hard feelings towards the man.

]{OMBAT: I understand Mr. Grizzle, but I didn’t have any angry feelings toward TPB!

axeman61: Would you two like to say what went on?

TemperaryUserName: Hey! What’s this about some evening several months ago!...

]{OMBAT: I felt unappreciated, yes! However, I have been working for him for years and endured other things that he’s said to me. I’ve never wanted to hurt him after each instance however.

Grizzle: Are you sure my dear boy? Didn’t you feel the least bit angry towards him?

TemperaryUserName: [yells] HEY! You two girlfriends wanna include me in the conversation or do you wanna talk about this in the bathroom amongst yourselves in the powder room?

Grizzle: Oh Sorry.

TemperaryUserName: [gestures at LadyRaiden] Maybe I should ask Ms. Know it all over there if she knows.

LadyRaiden: Excuse me?

Grizzle: No. She was there as well, but she didn’t witness what happened.

TemperaryUserName: Please enlighten me o’ wise one.


*thetruth4 and Shyriu are in the kitchen and are conversing amongst themselves.*


thetruth4: [sighs] Look. My family has suffered enough, alright? I just... [pauses]

Shyriu: Listen. I can help you, but only if you help me. You think whatever is in you past is going to be told how is should be? I bet you some other guy who won’t care about your family is going to tall all and not spare any feelings. You get what I’m saying? I’ll tell it the way it should be told, from your point of view and with you and your family left out of harms way of being ripped apart by other reporters trying to get the scoop.

thetruth4: I... I just don’t...

Shyriu: Hey!

thetruth4: What?

Shyriu: [sighs] Listen okay? Since we’re talking in here and it’s just us, right?

thetruth4: Well... yeah.

Shyriu: Look thetruth4, I’m in this shit just like you and everyone else. You understand what I’m saying?

thetruth4: [puzzled] I think so.

Shyriu: Alright. So if we all have shit on us then that means I’m in the boat with everyone.

thetruth4: What are you saying?

Shyriu: Look. I don’t have to go in there and have LadyRaiden reveal anything about what TPB had on me cause I think I know.

thetruth4: What are you saying?

Shyriu: You know what ‘cooking a story’ is?

thetruth4: I have no idea.

Shyriu: [pauses somberly] In the news business... it’s when you fabricate a story and supply false or non existent leads. You heard about the Jayson Blair thing with the NY Times not too long back?

thetruth4: [nods] You... did something like that?

Shyriu: Well... [pauses to take a deep breath] Hey! It was a big story for me cause it was my fist and it put me on the map. I mean... yeah I cooked it, but it was a thin story at the time and I wasn’t sure that I was ever going to get my big chance to have the opportunity to have a big story. So I took a shaky story that was going nowhere with scant leads and I... cooked it. Hell, my editor loved it, even all the lies.

thetruth4: Jesus.

Shyriu: Hey. I’m not worried cause I know he’d go to bat for me if it was to get out cause he thinks of me as a second son.

thetruth4: You did that?

Shyriu: Yes, I did. And I’d do it again to be honest. Now if I can stand here and tell you this, then you can do the same. Just trust me as I’m trusting you.

thetruth4: [standing quiet and somber]...

Shyriu: This can all work out if we trust each other...

thetruth4: [interrupts] I didn’t see her...

Shyriu: What?

thetruth4: [somber] I... didn’t see her.

Shyriu: Her? Her who?

thetruth4: [pauses and starts to tear up] ... Her.

Shyriu: What? Didn’t see her? What... what does that mean?

thetruth4: [starts to sob] God I wish it was raining that night so I could feel innocent ya know? Maybe if it was raining like it is now. I dunno. I... I saw her... in the street...

Shyriu: Wait. Who’s ‘her’?

thetruth4: I was driving home late and... [pauses] I... was really dead tired and... I saw her, but...

Shyriu: Wait...

thetruth4: I saw her crossing the street, but I just couldn’t react ya know? Just... couldn’t... stop. I could see her there, but I dunno.

Shyriu: Jesus man. You saying you hit someone with your car? I mean, she didn’t die did she?

thetruth4: [sobbing more] After... it happened, I stopped to get out and see if she was okay, but when I saw her... [stops]

Shyriu: [pauses] Was she still alive?

thetruth4: [crying] I mean, how she looked... [pauses] She just got off a bus and was walking home to her family! I... I didn’t mean to... [stops]


*The group listens to Grizzle recounts the events which ]{OMBAT may have had cause to kill TPB.*


TemperaryUserName: What the hell are you saying?! So when you were TPB’s partner you...

Grizzle: I helped to make whatever money that he obtained through... [clears throat] less than desirable means find it’s way in bank accounts residing in off shore accounts. And that night we were discussing a final ‘arrangement’ concerning an amount of money that he had gained over the previous months and it was in his study when ]{OMBAT walked in asking me if I preferred a drink. It was then when TPB, who had already had several large drinks that evening, acted rather boorishly and I’m afraid that ]{OMBAT was the unfortunate recipient of his inebriated tantrum.

The game is starting to wind down. There’s seven episodes left and there’s still time for people who aren’t in the lead or near it to get back into contention. However, those of whom I’m referring to need to get with supplying their weekly answers.

And thx to a lovely storm that knocked out power to my area for the entire day, Episode 12 is being posted tonight. Meh... well congrats to danadbab for being the only person to get both questions correct. And yes, you are officially back on top.
